6 killed as US-led coalition F-15 jets bomb Kurdish forces fighting ISIS – report

Two US-led coalition aircraft have bombed Syrian Kurdish forces, disrupting their offensive on Islamic State terrorists, RIA news agency reports. The diplomatic source has called out US’ “lack of coordination and professionalism.”

Two US-led coalition’s F-15 fighter jets have mistakenly targeted Kurdish units amid their offensive on the remaining forces of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists in Syria, RIA reported, citing a “military and diplomatic source.” It said six people were killed and 15 injured on the Kurdish side.

The incident, which took place near the town of Hajin in the Syrian eastern Deir ez-Zor province, did not just disrupt the operation but also reportedly led to numerous defections in the ranks of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Even worse, the terrorists managed to seize some territories in the area, the source added.

Saudi Consul In Istanbul Relieved Of Post, To Face Investigation Over Khashoggi Murder

Not long after the UN's top human rights official called for diplomatic immunity to be suspended for those found responsible for the death of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Turkish media and Reuters are reporting that Consul General of Saudi Arabia Mohammad al-Otaibi has been recalled to Riyadh, relieved of his duties, and will face an investigation following reports that Khashoggi had been killed in al-Otaibi's office, and that the doctor who dismembered Khashoggi's corpse had asked al-Otaibi to leave the room.

CNN Turk reported Wednesday that an 11-member Saudi investigation team had finally arrived at the Saudi consul's Istanbul residence for a joint inspection with Turkish officials, after the Saudis had declared the residence off limits earlier in the week, per Reuters.

Al-Otaibi reportedly fled Turkey on a commercial flight...

Judicial Watch announced today that in his opening remarks at a Friday, October 12 hearing, U.S. District Court Judge Royce C. Nike Donates Three Times As Much to GOP Than Democrats

While leftists have been singing the praises of Nike’s new push to prop up social justice ‘warriors’ like Colin Kaepernick, a new analysis reveals that the company has donated more than three times more to Republicans this election cycle than Democrats.

The company has served the anti-cop niche of the over-priced sneaker market by adding Kaepernick to their list of celebrity spokespeople – particularly on their ‘Just Do It’ campaign. The decision has sparked backlash on social media and some complaints from investors.

For the left, however, adding a cop-hating, America-loathing, dictator-loving, pretend social justice warrior is the perfect selling point. As a result, they’ve willingly forked over money as a means to thumb their nose at people like President Trump.

Saudi Arabia $100 million to US as missing journalist mystery deepens

Saudi Arabia has delivered a previously promised $100 million to the United States as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo landed in Riyadh to discuss the fate of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who went missing after visiting the kingdom’s consulate in Turkey’s largest city of Istanbul more than two week ago.

According to a New York Times report, the money landed in American accounts on Tuesday and was for purported American efforts to stabilize areas in Syria liberated from the clutches of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.

'No coincidence'

The timing of such payment, which the Riyadh regime had pledged to the Trump administration in summer, has raised cynical eyebrows among pundits.

“The timing of this is no coincidence,” an American official involved in Syria policy said on condition of anonymity.

How the FBI Silences Whistleblowers

The idea of “whistleblowing” has been in the news a great deal.

Is the anonymous author of a recent New York Times op-ed eviscerating the president a whistleblower?

Is the victim of an alleged sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh a whistleblower?

I’m fortunate to have access to the media to talk about torture after blowing the whistle on the CIA’s program. I think Ed Snowden, Tom Drake and others would say the same thing about the aftermath of their own whistleblowing.

The problem is that we are the exception to the rule. Most whistleblowers either suffer in anonymity or are personally, professionally, socially and financially ruined for speaking truth to power. Darin Jones is one of those people. He’s one of the people silenced in Barack Obama’s war on whistleblowers. And he continues to suffer under Donald Trump.

Is the new US drone base in Niger worth the cost?

For decades, large parts of Africa have been home to local radicals and militants. But these local radicals do not present a direct threat to U.S. national security — so does their mere existence justify the construction of a new drone base that has a price tag of $100 million?

The cost of operating the facility, located in the middle of the Sahara desert in Agadez, Niger, is estimated at $30 million a year. By the end of the 10-year agreement for the use of the site in 2024, named Nigerien Air Base 201, the U.S. will have spent around $280 million.

China’s Moon Missions Could Threaten US Satellites: Pentagon

But Gossel said putting a satellite at L2 could also enable Chinese attack spacecraft to zoom past the moon — about a quarter-million miles away — and then sneak up on critical U.S. intelligence and communications satellites in geosynchronous orbit, just 28,300 miles up — as occurred in the 2011 apocalypse-themed film “Melancholia.”

Facebook Purges US-Based Independent Media For Political Disinformation

Twitter also banned many of the pages targeted for deletion by Facebook on Thursday, suggesting a coordinated censorship effort between the two most popular social media platforms.

Anti-Semitism as a Sword: The Danger of Undermining Democracy for Israel’s Benefit

Following the flimsy accusations of anti-Semitism discussed in the first part of this series, the Israel Lobby has, with heavy pressure, succeeded in persuading the U.K.’s Labour Party to adopt a far-reaching definition of anti-Semitism. With this policy incorporated into the Labour Party, almost any negative commentary on Israel could officially be called anti-Semitic.

This chilling effect on free speech leaves Jews living in the U.K. in a quandary if they believe Israel’s actions are endangering them. Do they risk being labelled an anti-Semite for criticizing Israel?

Further, while Israel benefits from selling weapons to Neo-Nazis in Ukraine and to other sordid characters, who then will speak out against such disturbing alliances while these parties grow in power? In addition, will those non-Jews who vigorously defend Jews against anti-Semitism continue to be so inclined when the self-proclaimed “Jewish State” supplies arms to such heinous regimes and movements?

The Framing of Russia

As I have speculated before, and as is now becoming increasingly clear, the “suspects” put in the frame by the UK government were evidently known to its intelligence agencies long before Mark Sedwill’s denial, and in fact before they even reached London, on their way, we are told ad nauseum, to hit the Skripals with toxic perfume.

Obviously that story is not true, but it now appears that the mission assigned to the unwitting Russian couple was much more than simply to be caught on CCTV in the vicinity of the elusive Skripals, and that they were a pivotal part of “Operation Nina” – both in the planning stages and in the extended “action phase”, currently playing out in the media and institutions of the Western world.

Israel answers rocket fire with airstrikes on Gaza Strip

Israeli fighter jets targeted three areas in the Gaza Strip Wednesday -- retaliation for an earlier rocket attack -- amid intense rioting along the border that may lead to more attacks on Hamas.

Officials said the airstrikes killed a 25-year-old man. Earlier Wednesday, a rocket launched from the Gaza Strip hit a home in Beersheba, Israel. No injuries were reported.

"At 4 a.m. Israelis in the city of Beersheba were running to bomb shelters after a rocket was launched from the Gaza Strip at Israel," The Israel Defense Force said on Twitter. "We will defend Israeli civilians."

There were actually two rockets fired from Gaza, one of which landed in the sea near Tel Aviv. The IDF identified the area where the rockets originated and blamed Hamas.

Saudi Arabia Threatens Anyone Spreading 'Fake News' Online with 5 Years in Prison, Heavy Fines

Saudi Arabia is threatening to give 5-year prison terms and heavy fines to anyone caught spreading “fake news” online, a warning to those discussing the suspected murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. 'Secret' Israeli Paper Details Alleged Plan to Save Iran from Sanctions - Report

Ahead of the new wave of anti-Iranian sanctions, bound to come in force in November and impact the Islamic Republic’s oil exports, the Israeli outlet Maco has reported about an alleged secret agreement between Moscow and Teheran. Russia is reportedly planning to aid Iran to prevent economic damage with tacit support from Europe.

Russia, Iran, and Turkey struck an agreement which would minimize the impact of US anti-Iranian punitive measures targeting Teheran’s oil trade, the website Marco reports, citing a secret document obtained from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

To subvert the US economic blockade, Iran is expected to transport its crude to Russia's refineries on the Caspian Sea, which would later sell it as Russian oil and reimburse Iran.

IMF Issues Dire Warning – ‘Great Depression’ Ahead?

Is another “Great Depression” on the horizon?

It would be easier to dismiss these words from Nouriel Roubini, Marc Faber or other doom-and-gloom prognosticators. Coming from Christine Lagarde’s team, though, they take on a new dimension of scary.

The International Monetary Fund head isn’t known for breathlessness on the world stage. And yet the IMF sounded downright alarmist in its latest Global Financial Stability report, stating that “large challenges loom for the global economy to prevent a second Great Depression.”

Even some market bears were taken aback. “Why,” asks Michael Snyder of The Economic Collapse Blog would the IMF use this phrase “in a report that they know the entire world will read?”

Perhaps because, unfortunately, the findings of other referees of global risks – including the Bank for International Settlements – hint at similar dislocations.

MILITARY OFFICIALS AREN’T SUPPOSED TO ASSOCIATE WITH HATE GROUPS. SO WHY ARE THESE GENERALS SPEAKING AT FRANK GAFFNEY’S CONFAB?

Under its founder and president, Frank Gaffney, the organization regularly found itself in the news for promoting anti-Muslim conspiracies — including farcically paranoid ones. Yet, unlike similar organizations that remain on the political fringes, the Center for Security Policy is remarkably close to the halls of power — not just to President Donald Trump, for whom Gaffney was an informal adviser during the campaign, but also to the traditional power brokers of the defense establishment.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – OCTOBER 17, 2018: TERRORISTS MOVE FROM SYRIA AND IRAQ TO EU VIA UKRAINE

The Turkish military has sent a new convoy of troops and military equipment in order to strengthen its forces deployed in the Syrian province of Idlib. Some sources link this move with recent reports that terrorist groups like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, Houras al-Din and other al-Qaeda-like organizations are not going to withdraw from their positions in the demilitarized zone pre-agreed by Moscow and Ankara.

If these terrorist groups keep their attitude and continue violations of the ceasefire regime established near the province of Idlib, this may trigger a military response from the Syrian-Iranian-Russian alliance. Ankara, which is not interested in any advances of pro-government forces in Idlib, is preparing to employ its own military option in this case. Thus, its forces will punish the militants having a low level of loyalty to their Turkish patrons, impose at least formally the demilitarization zone and to prevent advanced by the Syrian Army in Idlib.

The US mainstream media is ignoring the Israel-Saudi Arabia de facto alliance

Over the past week or so, Saudi Arabia has gotten more U.S. mainstream media coverage than at any time in decades. But conspicuously missing has been any reporting on the kingdom’s growing friendship with Israel — a de facto alliance that may help explain why Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thought he could get away with ordering the murder of the dissident journalist, Jamal Khashoggi.

Particularly valuable is her recently edited (2018) collection about the kingdom’s new leadership, entitled Salman’s Legacy: The Dilemmas of a New Era in Saudi Arabia.

North Korea slams US for 'evil' sanctions push

North Korea's state media on Tuesday (Oct 16) slammed the United States for an "evil" attempt to maintain sanctions against Pyongyang, accusing President Donald Trump of blocking progress in inter-Korean relations.

The declaration threatens to upset the negotiations between Washington and the nuclear-armed North, in which Trump is expected to hold a second summit soon with Pyongyang's leader Kim Jong Un.

At their first meeting in Singapore in June they signed a vaguely-worded pledge on denuclearisation, but little progress has been made since then with the two sides sparring over the meaning of the text.

Pyongyang has not made any explicit public promise to give up its existing arsenal but has repeatedly called for UN Security Council sanctions imposed over its weapons programmes to be loosened, citing a freeze in its nuclear and missile tests.

For its part Washington has been adamant the measures should be maintained until Pyongyang's complete denuclearisation.

Facebook bans Gandhi quote as part of revisionist history purge

The reports are absolutely true. Facebook suspended the Natural News account earlier today after we posted an historical quote from Mohandas Gandhi. The quote reads:

"Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest." - Mohandas Gandhi, an Autobiography, page 446.

This historical quote was apparently too much for Facebook's censors to bear. They suspended our account and gave us a "final warning" that one more violation of their so-called "community guidelines" would result in our account being permanently deactivated.

They then demanded we send them a color copy of a "government issued identification" in order to reactivate our account. Our account was removed from suspension just minutes before InfoWars posted its article on this Facebook censorship, and the Facebook page is now functioning at:

'Children's bodies are everywhere': NINETEEN people are killed in Crimean school massacre after student walks into canteen and opens fire - as video shows teenagers screaming and fleeing gunshots and bomb blasts

Nineteen people were killed and 54 were injured in a gun and bomb rampage at a school in Crimea today.

Vladislav Roslyakov, 18, stalked his college halls with a shotgun and let off a homemade bomb before shooting 17 dead and then killing himself in the school library. Another pupil died in hospital hours later as seven fight for their lives.

The teenager, who is thought to have obtained shotguns and rifles with a hunting licence for which he passed a psychological assessment, also set off a homemade nail-bomb in the canteen which blew out the windows but did not kill anyone, according to reports.

Initial reports from the scene at Kerch Polytechnic College, described the attack as a terror attack, before it was reclassified as mass murder.

'A shooting took place after the explosion. The gunman had a hunting gun,' Crimean official Igor Mikhailichenko said.

Elizabeth Warren Is Not Native American

Massachusetts senator (and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful) Elizabeth Warren is not Native American.

Native American identity is about belonging to a community. It is a specific political, legal and social formation akin to a form of citizenship that is particular to each tribe, nation, confederacy or otherwise sovereign and self-determining Indigenous government—numbering 567 federally recognized tribes and hundreds of Alaska Native, Hawaiian and state-recognized entities across the country.

It is also racial. Not in the biological sense, but in a more ephemeral cultural and social understanding of that word—an identity lived by Native Americans across tribal affiliations and policed by the shifting structures of discrimination, opportunity and the many mundane and extraordinary life experiences in between.

AS U.S. POLLS TIGHTEN THE SIGNS ALL POINT TO HILLARY FOR PRISON

In case you haven’t been paying attention, the Republicans are going to remain in control of both the House and the Senate in a couple of weeks. Since their flawless victory over the Democrats in the fight to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, the Republican base is more energized now than at any point since November 2016….

And if you don’t think the person that is most worried about this picture is Hillary Clinton, then you haven’t been paying attention.

China to launch ‘artificial moon’ into SPACE to replace STREET LIGHTS

China is two years away from sending a lighting satellite to space, according to Wu Chunfeng, chairman of space contractor Chengdu Aerospace Science and Technology Microelectronics System Research Institute Co (CASC).

The device has been designed to illuminate an area as large as 80km and works by complementing the light of the moon at night, Mr Wu explained during a national mass innovation and entrepreneurship activity held last week.

And the precise illumination range will be controlled within a few dozen metres, Mr Wu added.

The device's power of illuminating the Earth will be eight-time stronger than the one of the real moon, enough to replace the lights on the street.

Honduran ex-lawmaker who helped arrange massive migrant caravan to US is detained

A former Honduran lawmaker traveling with a caravan of migrants heading toward the U.S.-Mexico border was detained by authorities in Guatemala on Tuesday as President Trump threatened to arrest anyone entering the country illegally.

Ex-legislator Bartolo Fuentes, who is said to have organized the march, was detained by Guatemalan authorities after failing to register with migration officials upon entering the country. Wilmer Simon Gomez and Michael Fajardo were among two others detained from the migrant group.

An official with the country’s migration agency said that Fuentes was to be taken to a migrant shelter and then deported.

Beto O’rourke’s fund-raising in the last quarter reached $38 million and he is trailing Mr. Cruz by nine points

His final quarterly fundraising report of the election season is a new high for all U.S. Senate races in the country.

On Friday morning, Beto O’Rourke released his final quarterly fundraising report of the 2018 campaign cycle. Given the national attention he earned after going viral in August with his response to a question about kneeling NFL players—and his subsequent role as a bonafide media darling, appearing on shows like Ellen and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert—it’s not a surprise that his numbers are impressive. What is a surprise is just how impressive they are. His third-quarter tally is a staggering $38.1 million—a record-setting number that eclipses not just Ted Cruz’s take, but any previous fundraising records for a Senate candidate in this country.

US voter records from 19 states sold on hacking forum

The voter information for approximately 35 million US citizens is being peddled on a popular hacking forum, two threat intelligence firms have discovered.

"To our knowledge this represents the first reference on the criminal underground of actors selling or distributing lists of 2018 voter registration data," said researchers from Anomali Labs and Intel471, the two companies who spotted the forum ad.

The two companies said they've reviewed a sample of the database records and determined the data to be valid with a "high degree of confidence."

Pelosi Not Willing to Trade Over Border Wall, Calls It Trump ‘Manhood Issue’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Tuesday there is nothing she would trade for President Donald Trump’s border wall, setting a hard negotiating stance in advance of an expected December showdown over the issue.

“It happens to be like a manhood issue for the president, building a wall, and I’m not interested in that,” the California Democrat said during a discussion at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics.

Pelosi emphasized Democrats do support border security but they would prefer to look at strengthening existing security measures as part of a comprehensive overhaul of immigration laws.

“We can’t allow him to say we’re not interested in protecting the border,” Pelosi said of Trump’s frequent attack on Democrats for their refusal to support the wall. “That isn’t the only way to protect the border. In fact, it’s probably the worst way to protect the border.”

Poll Shows Republicans Leading Democrats in House Races

If you’ve seen the polls and heard all the hype about the Democrats retaking the House of Representatives this November, bear in mind that there are three kinds of lies; lies, damned lies, and statistics. While “generic” (i.e. unnamed) Democrats are polling above “generic” Republicans, actual Republicans, particularly those in the toss-up districts where it counts, are actually beating their Democrat opponents by a slight margin

SUPREME COURT WEIGHS TRUMP ADMINISTRATION’S POWER TO DETAIN CRIMINAL IMMIGRANTS

The U.S. Supreme Court appeared closely divided Wednesday over the federal government’s power to detain criminal aliens after their release from prison.

The lead plaintiffs in Wednesday’s case were Mony Preap and Bassam Yusuf Khoury, two lawful permanent residents who served prison sentences for drug offenses. Several years after their release, federal immigration authorities detained them without bail pending deportation proceedings.

The American Civil Liberties Union challenged Preap and Khoury’s detention, arguing that the law requires the government to seize criminal migrants as soon as they are freed from custody, not months or years after the fact. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the migrants, so the Trump administration then appealed to the Supreme Court.

Monsanto And Bayer Are Moving To Create A Monopoly On Marijuana

You’ve heard of Monopoly, right? The fun little board game with fake money, little plastic houses, and get out of jail free cards? It’s a great way to pass the time. That is, depending on who you’re playing with.

But when it comes to real-life properties, business, and products, however, a monopoly becomes a whole lot more dangerous.

Two major companies, Monsanto and Bayer, have recently joined together and seem to be plotting to take over the cannabis industry. In other words, create a monopoly on marijuana.

Re: Khashoggi

After repeated denials, the Saudis are now expected to change their story on the fate of Jamal Khashoggi. Was he the victim of abduction and torture that went too far? Donald Trump has expressed concern, but little more. Could Riyadh get away with murder?

‘Bodies lying everywhere’: Shooting at Crimea college has echoes of Columbine massacre

It started like any normal day on campus at the polytechnic college in the Crimean city of Kerch — but it quickly turned into a horror story, drawing somber comparisons to the fateful 1999 Columbine Massacre in Colorado.
Before the day would end, at least 19 lives would be taken and dozens of students would suffer injury at the hands of a gun-wielding man.

As the drama unfolded, conflicting information was making its way online. In the initial confusion, reports suggested there had been a gas explosion inside the building — but it soon became clear that something much more horrifying was playing out.

Should US-Saudi Alliance be Saved?

Over the weekend Donald Trump warned of “severe punishment” if an investigation concludes that a Saudi hit team murdered Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Riyadh then counter-threatened, reminding us that, as the world’s largest oil exporter, Saudi Arabia “plays an impactful and active role in the global economy.”

Message: Sanction us, and we may just sanction you.

Some of us yet recall how President Nixon’s rescue of Israel in the 1973 Yom Kippur War triggered a Saudi oil embargo that led to months of long gas lines in the United States, and contributed to Nixon’s fall.

‘I don’t give a damn’: Secret service agent blocks reporter’s Kushner-Saudi questions

US secret service agents are expected to take a bullet for those they’ve sworn to protect. But in a bizarre exchange a bodyguard for White House senior advisor Jared Kushner swooped in to block a reporter’s questions.
The US president’s son-in-law was spared potentially tough questioning on Saudi Arabia when an unidentified special agent pushed in front of Errol Barnett, telling the CBS journalist there is a “time and a place” for such questions.

The incident occurred as Kushner was disembarking a plane in New York. According to Barnett he was attempting to ask Kushner about the crown prince of Saudi Arabia and the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi. Kushner is believed to have been instrumental in greasing the wheels of a US-Saudi Arabia multimillion dollar arms deal.

US doctors baffled as rare spinal disease spreads across 22 states

US health officials have issued a warning about a rare condition which attacks the nervous system and spinal cord after 62 new cases of the little-known disease were confirmed across 22 states.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) took steps to warn about the symptoms of acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) after doctors recorded a jump in cases this year. In 2018, the federal health watchdog confirmed 62 instances of the disease - which causes limb weakness and can paralyse sufferers. The illness has been compared to the polio and West Nile viruses.

Supreme Court agrees to hear a case that could determine whether Facebook, Twitter and other social media companies can censor their users

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case that could determine whether users can challenge social media companies on free speech grounds.

The case, Manhattan Community Access Corp. v. Halleck, No. 17-702, centers on whether a private operator of a public access television network is considered a state actor, which can be sued for First Amendment violations.

The case could have broader implications for social media and other media outlets. In particular, a broad ruling from the high court could open the country's largest technology companies up to First Amendment lawsuits.

Trump Goes "Postal", Abandons 144-Year-Old 'Unfair' Shipping Treaty With China

“Something has to be done...How can my government be subsidizing China and driving me out of business?”

Those are the words of Jayme Smaldone, who runs a 12-employee housewares company in Rahway, N.J., who first became aware of the problem when he noticed websites selling Chinese knockoffs of his “Mighty Mug,” a desktop coffee cup he designed with an anti-topple base.

And it appears President Trump has listened to Jayme among many others, as The New York Times reports that he plans to withdraw from a 144-year-old postal treaty that has allowed Chinese companies to ship small packages to the United States at a steeply discounted rate, undercutting American competitors and flooding the market with cheap consumer goods.
