China tests fighter jets equipped with 'invisibility cloaks' that make them IMPOSSIBLE to detect on radar

Researchers involved with the project say the technology will rapidly boost the combat power of the non-stealth military jets, the South China Morning Post reports.

However, critics say the technology is difficult to mass produce and are limited to a small range of radar bandwidths.

It involves the use of a 'metamaterial' that can change the way radio waves bounce off the surface to limit the echo on a radar in order to make aircraft harder to detect.

May's Brexit promises dealt a blow as the Government's spending watchdog says Britain will still have to pay the £37bn divorce bill even if the UK does not strike a trade deal with the EU

Britain will still have to pay the £37billion Brexit divorce bill even if the country does not strike a trade deal with the EU, the chief of the Government's spending watchdog today said.

Sir Amyas Morse, controller of the National Audit Office, said the withdrawal agreement would become legally binding as soon as it became law.

His remarks are a blow for Theresa May who has said she will not pay Brussels the money if it denies Britain a post Brexit trade deal.

But Sir Amyas told the Commons Treasury select committee that most of the money is tied to the two-year transition period - so will still have to be paid even if no future deal is struck

Paracetamol in pregnancy raises children's risk of ADHD and autism by up to 30%, study finds

The common painkiller, which is also known as acetaminophen, also raises children's risk of autism by up to 20 per cent, a study found.

Study author Dr Ilan Matok, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, said: 'Our findings suggest an association between prolonged acetaminophen use and an increase in the risk of autism and ADHD.'

Although it is unclear how the drug causes ADHD or autism, paracetamol has previously been linked to communication problems and reduced IQs among children whose mothers took the medication while expecting.

Computers decide if PPI victims get a payout: Explosive documents show they even write the rejection letters!

Victims of Britain’s biggest mis-selling scandal are having their compensation claims rejected —by computers.

Money Mail can reveal that the Financial Ombudsman Service is relying on computer software to decide whether banks should pay redress to people who were flogged payment protection insurance (PPI) alongside their credit cards or loans.

We have seen documents in which senior figures at the Ombudsman, which settles disputes between banks and customers, state that PPI case documents are fed into a computer programme which generates a ‘suggested outcome’.

They admit that although staff can make decisions on whether to force banks to pay redress, they almost always use the verdict spewed out by the computer.

US Significantly Boosts Offensive Forces in EU, Preps for War With Russia

While the world's attention is riveted on Syria, the US is significantly boosting its forces in Europe. And these are not just divisions streaming in to take part in some exercises that will leave once those are over. This is a serious buildup to create a potentially offensive posture. The beefing up of the US forces is taking place amid preparations for a Russia-US summit. That’s a rather peculiar background for the event, to put it mildly! The 4th Combat Aviation Brigade and the 4th Infantry Division will deploy to Europe as part of its Operation Atlantic Resolve. Based in Germany, the forces will participate in multiple exercises, most of which will be held very near the Russian border in Poland, Hungary, Romania, and the Baltic States. The Army is considering deploying an entire division in a Reforger type of exercise, with troops coming over to use the pre-positioned hardware. Those forces could potentially see a surge, with a division-level deployment in late 2018 or 2019.

IN DEPTH: Color Revolution Explodes In Nicaragua

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has ditched a controversial pension reform that would see an increase in both worker and employer pay-in, with a 5% reduction in benefits. This sparked deadly protests across the country, which saw its worst violence on Sunday, April 22nd. In a televised meeting on Sunday evening, Ortega said he was cancelling the reforms “which acted as a trigger that started this whole situation”. Ortega has been in power since 2007, coming in as part of the ‘pink tide’ of ’21st Century Socialism’ that swept Latin America in the last two decades. In many instances in response to US pressure, including crude oil price manipulation, the projects of these left-wing governments were placed on pause, and were otherwise jeopardized. In other cases, governments caved into US pressures. The Color Revolution tactic relies upon any number of factors. In this case, the ‘perfect storm’ was created.

Venezuela Is Replenishing Its Gold!

Venezuela and Turkey have repatriated all their gold stored in the US – Venezuela now sells it. Venezuela, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands are some of the 11 countries that have repatriated a significant portion of their gold reserves held in the US and other countries in recent years. Turkey has recently announced that it has decided to repatriate all the gold it stores to the Federal Reserve (FED). According to the latest IMF data, Turkey’s gold reserves are estimated at 591 tons, worth just over $23 billion. Turkey ranks 11th among the biggest stocks, behind the Netherlands and ahead of India. However, what should be troubled by Turkey is what happened and continues in another country that has decided to repatriate all of its reserves to gold and which has been and continues to be openly against the US. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said he did it for the citizens of his country, but he died a little later, and there was no way to appreciate his real intentions.

Curious Game By Tirana: Albania Is A Puppet Of The US

The construction of the naval base for the United States or for NATO was proposed by Albanian Defense Minister Olta Xhacka to her American counterpart during her official visit to the United States. According to the Albanian minister, the two countries should send a strong message to the international community that Albania and the Western Balkans are in the West and that the basic principles and values ??shared by the two countries should be protected. In order to strengthen and consolidate Albania’s orientation towards the West, the minister proposed the construction of a naval base that would be used either by NATO or the United States, or by both, establishing the US presence in Albania. Among the threats that disturb Albania is Russia’s attempt to penetrate the region and strengthen its influence through its secret services, investment and promotion through the media.

The US sanctions against aluminum producer Rusal seem to be a shot in their own knees: After the US government found that the price of aluminum went up as a result of uncertainty about the future of Rusal, US companies, and the massively hit western allies, the government in Washington backpedaled on Monday. Rusal approached us to request removal from the list. Given the impact on our partners and allies, we have decided to postpone the resolution and dismantling phase while reviewing the request from Russia." Russian Air Defenses Intercept Objects Targeting Hmeimim Base

Russia's military stated Tuesday that Russian air defenses at Hmeimim airbase in Syria had intercepted and destroyed several unidentified objects targeting the base.

An airbase spokesperson later confirmed that the base was operating normally, with no damages or casualties reported as a result of the attempted attack.

"On April 24 … the airspace monitoring facilities at Russia's Hmeimim airbase detected a group of small-size unidentified airborne targets approaching the base," the spokesperson said in a statement. "All targets were destroyed by air defense means deployed at the base."

According to South Front, the Russian Pantsir-S1 airbase systems shot down two drones armed with projectiles that had been launched by a militant group. It also reported that rockets were also intercepted. Other media reports indicate that two to four objects were destroyed in the air.

Martyrdom Of Yemen’s Al Sammad Exposes Saudi, US Motives

The President of Yemen’s National Salvation Government Saleh Al Sammad was martyred on the 19th of April, last Thursday, while inspecting the frontline. Unlike the “President” who Saudi Arabia, the United states, and their wealthy Gulf allies claim to be bombing Yemen on behalf of, Al Sammad actually lived in the Yemeni capital Sana’a, and presided over a national unity government that calls on all Yemeni political parties, including Islah, the Muslim Brotherhood, to unite and resist the genocidal aggression starving millions. The last we heard of the so-called “President of Yemen” Abdurrab Mansour Hadi was that he was under house arrest in Riyadh, and has been refused the right to leave. It is clear to everyone with a brain and conscience that Saudi Arabia has an imaginary friend when they claim to be helping the “Yemeni government” fight against the “Houthis” who in turn are presented as an alien force backed by Iran. This is a cruel lie.

Hybrid War In Reverse: Why The SDF Can’t Hold The Euphrates

With regard to this Middle East war which was waged for 7 years, we are finally near the end of it all. The border with Lebanon is sealed, the border with Iraq is established and Damascus-Tehran communication is up and running across Abu Kamal, just like small trade is too. ISIS, the last big obstacle for the New Middle East is practically crushed and exists only in small parts in the Syrian desert like a mobile force, and across the Euphrates river east from the SDF-American forces. This hybrid war, with multiple and difficult to distinguish sides against the Syrian state, is practically over and isolated now only to Idlib and part of Dara province with no perspective for the future. NATO’s humiliation with its failed cruise missiles strikes proved that NATO is incapable to win any war without full air supremacy. So what is left? The only option is prolonging the war, forcing Damascus to liberate all the territory at a cost and not in a quick manner.

Israel vows to destroy Russia's S-300 in Syria in case of danger

Representatives of the Israeli Defence Ministry responded to recent reports about the possible delivery of S-300 SAM systems from Russia to Syria. Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that Israel would destroy those systems if Syria uses them against Israeli aircraft. The Israeli army will destroy Syrian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems if they act against aircraft of the Israeli Air Force, Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said in an interview with Ynetnews. "If these weapons are used against us, we will act against them. One thing must be clear: if someone shoots down our aircraft, we will destroy them," Lieberman said. "It is important for us that the defensive weapons that the Russians are transferring to Syria should not be used against us," Lieberman said. The minister added that Israel did not interfere in Syria's internal affairs.

Turkey withdraws its gold from USA

The administration of the Central Bank of Turkey has withdrawn the national gold reserve from the US Federal Reserve System. According to Trend news agency, the Central Bank of Turkey had 220 tons of gold at the US Federal Reserve. At the same time, two other Turkish banks - Ziraat and Vakifbank - also started withdrawing their gold reserves from the United States. Their "gold assets" are evaluated at 95 tons. As of March 2018, the gold reserves of the Central Bank of Turkey amounted to $25.3 billion. Analysts believe that Turkey has made such a move against the background of worsening relations between Ankara and Washington. Earlier, Want China Times wrote with reference to Duowei News that China's enormous gold reserves give the People's Republic of China an opportunity to cause the US national currency to collapse. The publications also noted that Russia had doubled her gold and currency reserves since 2005.

Russia may interrupt regular flights with USA

The United States creates visa problems for pilots of Russia's Aeroflot, even though Aeroflot is the only airline that makes regular flights between Russia and the USA. "It is possible that Russia and the United States of America will be left without air service. Aeroflot, the only company that makes regular flights between Russia and the United States, is likely to be forced to stop them, as their crews experience increasing difficulties with obtaining US visas," a statement from the press department of the Russian Foreign Ministry said. Putin's official spokesman Dmitry Peskov admitted that regular flights between Russia and the USA could be stopped, although the Russian administration would not want such a development. Earlier, it was said that the US consulate denied visas to Bolshoi Theater ballerina Olga Smirnova and first soloist Jacopo Tissi. Linda K.

Russia to deliver S-300 air defence systems to Syria for free

Russia is to start supplying S-300 air defence systems to Syria in the near future. The shipments will be conducted free of charge, the Kommersant newspaper wrote adding that Russia is determined to take a swift effort to create the echeloned air defence system for Syria. The question about the transfer of S-300 systems to Syria remains "mostly political" and has been practically resolved. Components of S-300 systems, including radar stations, transport vehicles, command posts and missile launchers, will be delivered to Syria by military transport aircraft or vessels of the Russian Navy. It is possible that Russia will deliver the systems that have already been used in the Russian Armed Forces. On April 14, the Western coalition fired 103 missiles on Syria, but Syrian air defence forces shot down 71 of those missiles.

Poland defends its airspace with the help of Soviet systems made during the 1940s

Polish officials said that in the event of a "war with Russia," the country would use Soviet weapons to defend itself against Russian missiles and aircraft. The Polish army still has Soviet-made S-60 anti-aircraft systems developed in the 1940s. The Polish military also use ZU-23-2, adopted in the USSR in 1960. Nevertheless, Poland is expecting to receive USA's Patriot missiles, which will be difficult to integrate with the existing air defence system of Poland. Polish Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz announced the agreement on the supply of Patriot air defence systems in Poland in early July.

Large lake of boiling water found on Mars

Russian radio enthusiast Valentin Degterev found a huge lake full of boiling water on pictures of Mars. The photos, taken by NASA, show a body of water two kilometres in diameter in the area of the south pole of Mars, URA.ru says. The lake is located in a meteorite crater. Having "discovered" so much water on Mars, Degterev assumed that scientists conceal a lot of information about the existence of water on Mars saying that Mars is an anhydrous planet. Like on Earth, the water in the newly-discovered lake on Mars is blue and liquid. The radio enthusiast also assumed that the water in the lake boils all the time and produces a lot of steam. The researcher provided the coordinates of the site, where the lake was found, and said that the discovery was extremely valuable, because nothing like that was ever found on the Red Planet.

Limescale behind yellow water surfacing on International Space Station

"A household cause is behind the emergence of the yellow admixtures in the water. Routine limescale crust had formed in the water-heating unit, which had reached the end of its service life. There is nothing terrible in that as we are regularly confronted with such things on Earth. The problem is solved quite easily, we will just promptly replace this unit, which cosmonauts normally call ‘samovar’ with a reserve one," First Deputy CEO for Space Systems’ Flight Operation and Tests at Energia Rocket and Space Corporation Vladimir Solovyov told TASS on Tuesday. Some media outlets reported earlier on Tuesday that problems had emerged with the quality of hot water and yellowish admixtures of unknown origin had been discovered in the space station’s Russian segment. Reports stated that the cosmonauts allegedly had to use water in the US segment. As Solovyov noted, the use of water from the American segment is prescribed in this case in the flight program.

An Urban Survival Course with Selco: Your Gear and How to Pack It - Selco

What to Pack for a 5-Day Urban Survival Course

We have just finished our flagship Urban survival course in Croatia.

For 5 days Toby Cowern and I, as instructors, taught students skills and through the different exercises and scenarios, we stress-tested their knowledge and abilities.

For me, the most important thing was to give them a piece of the mindset needed for a real SHTF event and to give them a clear starting point from where they can build more skills, knowledge, and competence.

In some moments it was hard for them, both physically and mentally, but one of the most important points, of course, was to test them in not so perfect conditions.

The whole course cannot be transferred here for reading, but some highlights can be given in a series of articles, reflecting on the most interesting moments of each day. This time, we will start out with the gear necessary for the class.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I consider knowledge like this to be critically important, if the US economy hits a crash moment, or has to deal with a war.

If You Limit ANY Free Speech, This is What You Get

The law originally targetted the KKK. Now it has been used to arrest people protesting against white supremacists.

And that is why free speech is so important.

Plenty of people would love to see new laws to stop white supremacists from exercising their–albeit offensive–free speech.

But as this 1951 law demonstrates, the law as it is intended is not always how it is applied.

Ironically, police routinely wear gas masks and face-covering riot helmets at these kinds of events. Apparently, the law doesn’t apply to them. But that is fitting since most laws don’t apply to the people who enforce them.

Have you ever threatened to shoot someone with a rifle because they had a mask on? Me neither. Police are a different breed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I condemn racism of any stripe; in my world, we are ALL children of God, equally, and hopefully carrying a commitment to our purpose as human beings, which is to make this planet just a bit better, however we can, for the next generations.

That being said, the militarization of our police (sometimes courtesy of Israeli military training)causes them to take the kinds of actions which should be used, allegedly "to protect and serve.", which is their task.

We are very lucky on Oahu to have officers who are, in the main, very decent human beings; but I know that on the mainland, this is not always the case.

Kogan Exposes "Hypocrite" Zuckerberg: "Tens Of Thousands" Of Data Harvesting Apps Out There

Aleksandr Kogan, the computer scientist at the center of the Facebook data harvesting scandal, said Mark Zuckerberg is "totally" a hypocrite in a Monday CNBC interview. Kogan made headlines in March after the New York Times and The Guardian reported that political data firm Cambridge Analytica bought data on as many as 87 million Facebook users - harvested by Kogan's personality app, thisismydigitallife.

The Moldovan-born researcher from Cambridge University says he's being used as a scapegoat, and that there are "tens of thousands" of other apps do the same thing, Kogan said. "It's certain"

"In reality, I think, the truth is we’ve got tens of thousands of over apps that did the same thing, probably on a much bigger scale than me," Kogan told CNBC's Power Lunch. "And they’re all out there and Facebook has no accounting for it."

US Decries China’s High-Speed Rail in Laos. Connecting China’s Yunnan to South East Asia

China’s plans to build high-speed rail connecting Kunming in its Yunnan province with the rest of Southeast Asia are already underway. In the landlocked nation of Laos, tunnels and bridges are already under construction.

The United States has, in general, condemned China’s One Belt, One Road (OBOR) sweeping infrastructure programme, with US and European policy circles accusing Beijing of what they call “debt trap diplomacy.”

Quartz in an article titled, “Eight countries in danger of falling into China’s “debt trap”,” would claim:

Beijing “encourages dependency using opaque contracts, predatory loan practices, and corrupt deals that mire nations in debt and undercut their sovereignty, denying them their long-term, self-sustaining growth,” said US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on March 6. “Chinese investment does have the potential to address Africa’s infrastructure gap, but its approach has led to mounting debt and few, if any, jobs in most countries,” he added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And what, pray tell, does the US actually have in the works, to counter this intelligently, and proactively?!?

The answer is, one big, fat, hairy nothing.

Even the desperately needed infrastructure projects right here in the US are not getting done.

The Chinese leadership is thinking long-term; the US government can barely keep its though processes straight through the next elections.

Might Trump Ask Israel to Fund America’s Invasion-Occupation of Syria?

On 16 April 2018, the internationally respected analyst of Middle-Eastern affairs, Abdel Bari Atwan, headlined about Trump’s increasingly overt plan to break Syria up and to establish permanent U.S. control over the parts it wants, “Attempting the Unachievable”. He stated that

“The coming few months are likely to prove very difficult for the Americans, and very costly, not just in Syria but also in Iraq.”

He closed:

“Who will cover the costs of this American move? There are no prizes for guessing the answer: it has already been spelled out.”

The only country that his article mentioned was Israel:

“It would not be surprising if Israel and the various lobbies that support were behind this American strategic volte-face. For Israel is in a state of panic.”

I do not consider this enormous reversal of Israel — from recipient to donor — to be likely. Far likelier, in my view, is Saudi Arabia, to finance the invasion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think this analysis is the correct one, with the US tapping Saudi Arabia for the money to continue its invasion/occupation of Syria.

The question is, how long before there is a real, shooting war with Russia over Syria, which Syria invited into this country to get rid of the Western-backed Jihadis there?!?

Because from where I sit, is is a question of when, not if.

DNC told to preserve servers after lawsuit against Trump campaign, Russia and WikiLeaks

Roger Stone, a former Trump campaign ally, responded to the Democratic National Committee’s Russia collusion lawsuit Monday, telling it to preserve its databases, records and servers for inspection.

“[We] intend to test the basic underlying claims that ‘Russians’ hacked, stole, and disseminated DNC data, rather than the various other plausible scenarios, including internal theft,” wrote Robert Buschel, an attorney representing Mr. Stone, in a letter to the DNC’s lawyers.

Mr. Stone is one of the more than a dozen defendants listed in the suit filed Friday, which says Russian intelligence officials, WikiLeaks and allies of Donald J. Trump worked together to hack the DNC’s emails to elevate Donald Trump during the 2016 election.

The lawsuit alleges the Trump campaign knew about the hacking and welcomed it instead of reporting the cyber breach to authorities.

Corporate media outlets were glad that the US, France and Britain bombed Syria in violation of international law (FAIR.org, 4/18/18), but lamented what they see as a dearth of US violence in the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is never the children of the monied elite presstitutes and warmongers whose kids will get killed, or maimed for life, in such wars; they always want it to be... other people's children, getting killed or maimed for life to preserve the US's economic, and geopolitical hegemony.

Israel wants Syria balkanized and Tehran regime changed; of course, only at the costs of American or Saudi blood and money; and whatever Israel wants, the editors of our non-esteemed manure spreaders, like the Washington Compost, want Israel to have, and want to make sure that the American people swallow such codswallop whole, and unquestioningly.

Americans can no longer tolerate our government doing this, because of the huge costs, geopolitically, and financially of enabling Israel toward its stated end of complete domination of the Middle East, and its oil.

In fact, the following article, states this quite clearly:

As Israel becomes a political liability it is time to challenge its enablers

Democratic National Committee's Lawsuit Against Russians, Wikileaks And Various Trump Associates Full Of Legally Nutty Arguments

This morning I saw a lot of excitement and happiness from folks who greatly dislike President Trump over the fact that the Democratic National Committee had filed a giant lawsuit against Russia, the GRU, Guccifier 2, Wikileaks, Julian Assange, the Trump campaign, Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and a few other names you might recognize if you've followed the whole Trump / Russia soap opera over the past year and a half. My first reaction was that this was unlikely to be the kind of thing we'd cover on Techdirt, because it seemed like a typical political thing. But, then I looked at the actual complaint and it's basically a laundry list of the laws that we regularly talk about (especially about how they're abused in litigation). Seriously, look at the complaint. There's a CFAA claim, an SCA claim, a DMCA claim, a "Trade Secrets Act" claim... and everyone's favorite: a RICO claim.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Any intelligent judge would throw this case right out of court, on a complete lack of merit; but it all depends on which judge actually hears the case, and by whom they were appointed. So the DNC is going to be most likely looking for a sympathetic Clinton or Obama appointment.

But Tom Perez, DNC Chair, please; have you utterly lost your mind?!?

Do you not understand that the optics, and timing, of this case, will make the DNC look absolutely cringe-worthy, clown-like pathetic, come the next mid-terms, and capable of nothing but an extended misery tour, bitching and moaning about the last election?!?

The bottom line here appears to be, "We Didn't Win in the last elections, fair and Square, so we are now going to persecute the guy who DID get chosen by the American people to lead them as their President!!"

You appear to have no message, no forward momentum, and nothing going for you but to attempt to geopolitically crucify President Trump, after the fact of the 2016 elections.

Tom, you had better re-think this, and fast, because you will push thinking Americans away from Democratic candidates for a long time to come, if this is the best you can do here.

And now, we have a lovely bit of fallout from this lawsuit, which is only the beginning of its unintended consequences to the DNC:

Time to Repeal the 2nd Amendment & Ban Guns, How is That Working For You?

Today’s protesters have called on the government to “do something” about guns and point to retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens’ recent cry to abolish the Second Amendment. Well, countrymen and women, there’s an “app” to do just that.

What’s missing in any discussions, however, seems to be some basic understanding of the process to repeal an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as well as the reasons why so many Americans find the notion utterly revolting when their liberties are under attack.

The Constitution provides that an amendment may be proposed either by Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures.

FLASHBACK - Famed War Reporter Robert Fisk Reaches Syrian ‘Chemical Attack’ Site, Concludes “They Were Not Gassed”

Robert Fisk’s bombshell first-hand account for the UK Independent runs contrary to nearly every claim circulating in major international press concerning what happened just over week ago on April 7th in an embattled suburb outside Damascus: not only has the veteran British journalist found no evidence of a mass chemical attack, but he’s encountered multiple local eyewitnesses who experienced the chaos of that night, but who say the gas attack never happened.

Fisk is the first Western journalist to reach and report from the site of the alleged chemical weapons attack widely blamed on Assad’s forces. Writing from Douma in eastern Ghouta, Fisk has interviewed a Syrian doctor who works at the hospital shown in one of the well-known videos which purports to depict victims of a chemical attack.

Saudi Warplanes Attack Wedding Party in NW Yemen, Killing Dozens

Saudi warplanes carried out an overnight attack against a wedding party in the Yemeni town of Hajjah. Two missiles struck the site, and killed many civilians. Medics initially reported 33 were killed and scores wounded. Other officials put the figure as high as 50 slain.

The civilians were mostly women and children, who were in a tent set up for the wedding party. The bride was also killed in the strike, and the groom was among the wounded. Initial reports called the strike a US-Saudi action, but it was later confirmed to be of Saudi origin.

Saudi coalition spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki was quoted by CNN as saying that there is an investigation into the attack. They refused to comment further until the investigation has been completed. No other officials offered any indication why the wedding was attacked.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Saudis, guided by their B.O.Y. (AKA, the Butcher of Yemen, Prince Mohammed bin Salman), are magnificently adept at genocide, and slaughter of the innocent in Yemen.

And of course, under our current, and very uniquely American "Dear Leader", with his very own Personality Cult, President Trump, we are aiding and abbetting Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

I don't know about the rest of those who read this blog, but I am sick, tired, and profoundly morally uncomfortable, being a citizen of a country which indulges in war crimes around the world, as we are.

But there are very few more glaring examples of such war crimes, than the US/Saudi genocide of Yemen.

As a Christian Pacifist Activist, I will continue to witness to what is going on here, until my last breath.

Nicaragua riots: US State Department pull embassy staff out of the country amid mass violence

The US State Department also raised the threat level for Nicaragua following the deadly protests, and is urging Americans to reconsider any travel plans to the country. The embassy in Managua will no longer provide services to the public, except for emergencies or by phone.

"Violent crime, such as sexual assault and armed robbery, is common," a notice from State read. "Police presence and emergency response are extremely limited outside of major urban areas."

The student-led protests began last week in response to President Daniel Ortega's plan to reform the country's pension plan, which would have increased employer and employee contributions while reducing benefits.

Mr Ortega announced that he was revoking that plan Sunday, hoping to placate the uproar in the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder when DC will order in their death squads, in order to quell these riots; it would not be the first time the US government has interfered with issues in Nicarauga by adding to the violence.

US, EU States Agree on Conditions to Preserve Iranian Nuclear Deal - Reports

The United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom have agreed on the conditions under which Washington will remain committed to the Iran nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), media reported Tuesday.

Under the new agreements, the European and US sides decided that they needed to threaten Iran with new sanctions because of its missile tests and regional policy, but the JCPOA itself would not be altered, according to the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.

A Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was reached concerning Iran's nuclear program in Lausanne, Switzerland, June 2015.

The media also noted citing diplomatic sources that the negotiations had not finished yet.

Trump has repeatedly criticized the JCPOA – negotiated by the previous US President Barack Obama's administration – as being perhaps the worst deal in US history and threatened to withdraw Washington from the deal if it was not amended

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: the US is attempting to use sanctions against Iran for issues which have absoflippinglutely NOTHING to do with the JCPOA, as a way of getting Iran to back out of the deal entirely, thus making the Iranian government look like "the bad guy" to do so, when it will potentially be US sanctions which have caused this.

The only problem is, this is so brazenly idiotic, that the entire world can see what the US is attempting to do here, and has utterly no respect for these sanctions.

Israel Hints It Can Hit Iran's "Air Force" in Syria if It Retaliates for T-4

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, two Israeli F-15 fighter jets conducted an attack against Syria's T-4 base on April 9. Israeli sources claim the attack was aimed at Iranian fighters in Syria, with Tehran denying the claims of its military presence in the country.

Israeli media released aerial photos of alleged Iranian air bases on Syrian territory early on April 17. Sky News Arabia reports, citing an IDF official, that Israel is determined to strike back if Iran decides to retaliate for its attack on the T-4 air base. Roni Daniel, military editor for Israeli TV station Mako, told Reuters that the exposure of images of the bases is a sign that Israel can conduct a strike on them, if it is forced to do so.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I the Israeli government, I would be far more concerned about potential Russian strikes against their aircraft, in these illegal raids against Syria, rather than what Iran or Syria could do.

Of course, the reason the Israelis are panicing right now, is the oil under Syria's Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, where Israel is already selling the oil contracts there illegally.

The other reason for these raids is, that Israel wants to see Syria balkanized, and Tehran regime-changed, for its, and Western banks' interests, but only at the costs of American blood and American money.

Israel wants to find a way of tricking the US into a wider Middle Eastern war, with it, Saudi Arabia, the US and NATO on one side, and Russia and China on the other. The goal is controlling all the oil in the region, even into Africa, and in what denomination that oil is siold.

I would like to hope President Trump is smart enough to appreciate this little factoid of Israeli foreign policy, but that remains to be seen.

I just get the sense, however, that the US is going to be occupying Syria for a long, long time, and that the war here may be widening, thanks to US and Israeli efforts.

Obama Justice Dept.’s attempts to influence investigations exposed in McCabe probe

Tucked inside the inspector general’s report on former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was the story of an August 2016 phone call from a high-ranking Justice Department official who Mr. McCabe thought was trying to shut down the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was running for president.

The official was “very pissed off” at the FBI, the report says, and demanded to know why the FBI was still pursuing the Clinton Foundation when the Justice Department considered the case dormant.

Former FBI officials said the fact that a call was made is even more stunning than its content.

Although the inspector general’s report did not identify the caller, former FBI and Justice Department officials said it was Matthew Axelrod, who was the principal associate deputy attorney general — the title the IG report did use.

Mr. McCabe thought the call was out of bounds.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That is what America's alleged "justice" department has become; "Just Us!" to preserve the wealth and power of the elites, who, in DC, rarely eat their own.

This was simply another demonstration of the lengths to which they will go, to avoid well-deserved scrutiny of institutions, like the Clinton Foundation.

SENATE PROPOSAL TO CONSTRAIN TRUMP’S WAR MAKING WOULD ACTUALLY EXPAND PERPETUAL WAR

A new authorization for the use of military force proposed by Democratic and Republican senators would further entrench the United States in endless war. It would also streamline the ability of President Donald Trump and future presidents to expand the “war on terrorism” to additional countries and broaden a list of “associated forces” that are “co-belligerents” of al-Qaida, the Taliban, or the Islamic State.

Under the proposed AUMF [PDF], which was drafted to replace the 2001 and 2002 AUMFs still in effect, military force against the Taliban, al-Qaida, ISIS, and “designated associated forces” is renewed.

On January 20, 2022, and every four years after, the president is to submit a report on the “use of military force,” which includes a “proposal to repeal, modify, or leave in place” the current AUMF.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is horrific legislation, and should be voted down; Congress has no right, under the Constitution, to abnegate its sole ability to declare war.

US CENTCOM CHIEF MAKES "SECRET AND UNPRECEDENTED" VISIT TO ISRAEL AS RUSSIA MULLS ARMING SYRIA

Increasingly it appears that the recent US coalition missile strikes on Syria have utterly backfired: instead of weakening Syria or degrading its military capabilities, the attack may have actually served to strengthen Syria's defenses.

Since the massive strike which involved the US, UK, and France launching over 100 cruise missiles, Russia is rumored to be moving forward on delivery of its advanced S-300 missile defense system, which would be a monumental upgrade allowing Syrian defenses to far surpass current capabilities which utilize the Soviet-made S-125 and S-200 air defense systems.

Crucially, S-300s have a range of up to 150-200 kilometers (or 120 miles), bringing Syrian deterrent reach easily to within Lebanese airspace (as Israel has routinely struck targets inside Syria while firing over "neutral" Lebanese airspace in recent years), and could even extend airspace coverage into Israel itself.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel must be made to understand, at a level its top military and civilian leadership comprehends fully, that these attacks against Syria, will simply cause Russia to arm the country to the point where it can fight back against Israel's military aggression, and unless Israel is willing to actually invade Syria (which Russia will block, militarily and diplomatically), it should really back off, and right the hell now.

And either the US Centcom chief Votel can communicate this clearly with the Israeli leadership, or we are looking at World War III, with Russia, Syria, China, and Iran gathering forces on one side, and the US, NATO, Israel, and Saudi Arabia on the other; it is just that simple, folks.

Waffle House shooter was once arrested by Secret Service for trespassing near White House

The man suspected of killing four people at a Waffle House in Nashville on Sunday was previously arrested by the US Secret Service for trespassing and being in a restricted area near the White House, authorities said.

In July 2017, Travis Reinking told a uniform Secret Service officer that he must get into the White House to speak with the President, according to an arrest report. The officer explained that he must get a tour to do that and told Reinking to move away from the pedestrian entrance, but the report states Reinking told the officer again that he had to speak with the President and that he was a "sovereign citizen" who had a right to inspect the grounds. After telling Reinking to move again, the report states that Reinking took his tie off, balled it into his fist, began approaching the officer and walked past the security barriers.

"Do what you need to do. Arrest me if you have to," Reinking said, according to the report.

EX-FACEBOOK EXECUTIVE: ‘YOU DON’T REALIZE IT BUT YOU ARE BEING PROGRAMMED’

Several months ago, one of the early pioneers of Facebook and its first President Sean Parker, voiced his regret regarding helping create social media in the form we know it today, saying:

“I don’t know if I really understood the consequences of what I was saying, because of the unintended consequences of a network when it grows to a billion or 2 billion people and it literally changes your relationship with society, with each other,”…

”God only knows what it’s doing to our children’s brains.”

Parker says the social networking site exploits human psychological vulnerabilities through a validation feedback loop that gets people to constantly post to get even more likes and comments.

“It’s exactly the kind of thing that a hacker like myself would come up with, because you’re exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology,” he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

19 OIL TANKERS HELD HOSTAGE OFF YEMENI COAST

The Yemeni Houthis have captured 19 oil tankers and are keeping them from entering the Hodeidah port, according to reports from Saudi media quoting the Kingdom’s ambassador in Yemen.

The ambassador suggested three possible reasons for the detention, including an attempt to extract money from the owners of the vessels, “the continued starvation of the Yemeni people”, and a plan to destroy the tankers, causing major environmental damage to the Red Sea.

However, the only media sources reporting the tanker seizure are Saudi sources and there has been no confirmation from an external source that the Houthis have indeed seized any tankers yet. No details have been disclosed as to the origin of the vessels, either.

Yemen lies along one of the main global oil chokepoints in the Red Sea. Millions of barrels of crude oil pass Yemeni shores from the Suez Canal en route to Europe every day.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to the government of Saudi Arabia, and the B.O.Y. (AKA, the butcher of Yemen, Prince Mohammed bin Salman); the only way to resolve this is with a political solution.

There has been a hubristical arrogance in this military operation in Yemen, aided and abetted by the United States Military, the foundation of which was the belief that you could, through intense genocide, grind the Yemeni people into submission; it has not worked at all.

I would like to politely suggest another way to tackle the problem through diplomacy, if such a thing possibly exists in your country.

You have gassed, starved, and in discriminately slaughtered infants; children; women; and the medically fragile elderly. You have destroyed schools and hospitals with impunity, all to no avail on the ground in Yemen.

Perhaps some other modality might work better now; because all you have accomplished is getting the Houthi rebels so angry at this genocide, that they are willing to do anything...to get the Saudi presence out of their country.

The West is Obsessed with Perverse Types of Punishment

Western culture is clearly obsessed with rules, guilt, submissiveness and punishment.

By now it is clear that the West is the least free society on Earth. In North America and Europe, almost everyone is under constant scrutiny: people are spied on, observed, their personal information is being continually extracted, and the surveillance cameras are used indiscriminately.

Life is synchronized and managed. There are hardly any surprises.

One can sleep with whomever he or she wishes (as long as it is done within the ‘allowed protocol’). Homosexuality and bisexuality are allowed. But that is about all; that is how far ‘freedom’ usually stretches.

Rebellion is not only discouraged, it is fought against, brutally. For the tiniest misdemeanors or errors, people end up behind bars. As a result, the U.S. has more prisoners per capita than any other country on Earth, except the Seychelles.

In 2014 Farak was sentenced to 18 months in prison and was released in 2015. It took another three years for the courts to toss 11,000 convictions tainted by the worker.

That is right, the people that Farak helped wrongly convict stayed in prison for another three years after Sonja Farak was released.
