Cyber criminals account for 90% of all login attempts at online retailers

Security experts discovered 90 per cent of login attempts on e-commerce sites are from cyber criminals attempting to access customers' account and payment details.

Banks (58 per cent) and airlines (60 per cent) are also highly targeted by hackers.

Cyber criminals attempt to gain access to an online account by flooding it with email and passwords leaked in previous data breaches – a practice known as 'credential stuffing'.

Those who use the same combination of email address and password across multiple online services are likely to fall victim to this type of attack.

Analyst claims more Model 3 buyers are CANCELLING orders than putting down deposits - but Tesla says that is 'unequivocally false'

More and more Model 3 buyers have been cancelling their orders in recent weeks amid extended delays and fears that the promise of a full tax credit will expire.

So many, that analysts claim cancellations now outpace new orders.

A Needham & Co analyst said today that the refund rate has hit 24 percent, doubling what it was last summer.

But, Tesla has since hit back, stating that these claims are 'unequivocally false.'

Rep. Maxine Waters urges counter-demonstrators to stay away from planned far-right protest at her office

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) has made a reputation of being one of President Trump’s most outspoken critics, and has even told people to “push back” on administration officials they spot in public. Now, Waters may have some rowdy critics of her own to contend with.

The Oath Keepers, a far-right anti-government group that purports to have many veterans as members, has said that they will be protesting outside Waters’ district office in South Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon. Calling Waters a “protest terrorist inciter,” the group, publicized the planned gathering on Twitter and said they intended to “stand against terrorism, stand for freedom of speech and association, in support of ICE/Border Patrol as they enforce constitutional immigration laws.”

In Defense of Trump With Putin

For 18 months, Trump has sought to develop a personal relationship with Putin unlike any relationship that any modern American president has had with him or his predecessors. The Democrats and Republican never-Trumpers doubt Trump’s bona fides and even his intellect. "Who could cut a deal with a monster?" they have bellowed.

Make no mistake; Putin is a monster. He has invaded Ukraine, bombed rebels in Syria, shored up fanatics in Iran, imprisoned political opponents on false charges and stolen billions from Russian oligarchs and the Russian people.

To this litany of criminality, Trump has wisely asked: How have any of his monstrosities harmed the United States? Answer: None of this is morally sound, and all of it is profoundly unlawful, but none of it has harmed us.

This realization has led Trump – in defiance of the advice from his own secretary of state, CIA director and national security adviser – to try to understand Putin and to negotiate with him.

Lisa Page Busts FBI Brass, Clinton Emails Went To China

Joint House committee hearings concerning Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and their possible political bias that may have influenced the harassment of Donald Trump and his campaign has revealed interesting information.

During closed-door sessions in front of the house, she revealed reams of interesting information, much of it outing top FBI officials or accusing them of misconduct. Indeed, some of the information she provided suggests that there is an ongoing bureau-wide ‘criminal intelligence’ cover-up of the 33,000 missing emails from the Hillary Clinton server. It almost seems like Page is afraid of being the scapegoat left holding the bag, so she’s come clean before that can happen.

During questioning in front of the House, Lisa Page, who was involved in an affair with Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent Peter Strzok, tossed former director James Comey and deputy director Andrew McCabe, her former lover, Bill Priestap, and more under the bus, according to federal sources.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Holy crud, folks: if these allegations prove true, this could be the "smoking gun" on Hillary Clinton, worthy of a trial on high crimes and misdemeanors against her country.

Trump: ‘Reckless’ media pushing for ‘major confrontation with Russia that could lead to war’

Donald Trump says that recent hysteria whipped up by the “Fake News Media” about his summit with Vladimir Putin shows that the US press is eager for a “major confrontation” with Russia, one that could even lead to war.
“The Fake News Media wants so badly to see a major confrontation with Russia, even a confrontation that could lead to war. They are pushing so recklessly hard and hate the fact that I’ll probably have a good relationship with Putin. We are doing MUCH better than any other country!” the US president tweeted on Thursday.

BANKRUPT CHICAGO PONDERS UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME, OBAMA SINGS HALLELUJAH

Socialist fools are giving high fives and singing hallelujah as a Chicago alderman seeks a "free money" trial.

The Intercept reports Chicago May be the Largest US City to Try Universal Basic Income.

Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar is worried about the future.

He is concerned that a coming wave of automation could put millions of people out of work and result in more extreme politics.

Pointing to investments in autonomous vehicles by companies like Tesla, Amazon, and Uber, Pawar observed that long-haul trucking jobs, historically a source of middle-class employment, may become obsolete. More people out of work means more political polarization, says Pawar.”We have to start talking about race and class and geography, but also start talking about the future of work as it relates to automation. All of this stuff is intertwined.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do agree with Pawar that the nature of work is changing, fundamentally, exponentially, and right the heck now.

But my question to him would be, why not educate youngsters, and retrain people, for the jobs which will actually exist, in the next decade of so?!?

That seems to make far greater sense, economically and financially, rather than creating a permanent underclass of American citizens.

GALLUP SHOWS HOW MUCH AMERICANS REALLY CARE ABOUT THE "SITUATION WITH RUSSIA"

While ever-hope-filled expectations among the left are for a 'blue wave' in the Mid-term elections, we suspect things may not turn out quite as planned given the last week's "crisis". Even before President Trump had set foot in Helsinki, the left and the media were banging the drums of war against "the thug" Putin and how he would trump Trump, and once the press conference furore was over, all hell broke loose as the left-leaning world attempted to out-signal one another's virtue as to the "treasonous", "surrender" that had occurred.

So much so - in fact - that the internet became 'full' of "Trump" and "Treason" chatter - more so even than when he joked in July 2016 about Russia having Hillary's missing 30,000 emails.

Once again - the "Russia, Russia, Russia" cries drowned out any sane discussion of the end of cold war 2.0.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that whatever tenuous grip on reality the Democrats may have had in times past, has abandoned them completely, ahead of the midterms.

ISRAEL PASSES JEWISH-ONLY 'NATIONAL SELF-DETERMINATION' LAW DESPITE OUTCRY

The Israeli Knesset has approved the 'nation-state bill' that promotes Jewish-only settlements, downgrades Arab language status and limits the right to self-determination to Jews. Arab MPs chided the law as racist.
The bill, which has the status of a basic law (approximately the same as a constitutional law in countries with a written constitution), was passed overnight to Thursday with 62 votes in favor and 55 against after hours of fierce argument and debate. It will now come into force as soon as it's published in the Knesset's Official Gazette.

The law, which had been in the works since 2011, has sparked a wave of protests, which spilled over the Israeli border and angered the influential Jewish diaspora in the US.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The passage of this bill sets the stage for a complete annexation of Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, and by any means necessary, including assassinations.

It is no accident that two days ago, the following article appeared ini the timesofisrael.com Israeli Army told to prepare for a large-scale military operation in Gaza

Flashback - WikiLeaks: Hillary Clinton Bribed Republicans to Influence Election

Never mind the Russians. It was Hillary Clinton who was actually trying to sabotage the 2016 Presidential Election, according to a WikiLeaks release.

The information released shows that the Hillary Clinton campaign staffers bribed six Republicans to “destroy Trump”.

The evidence includes an email from John Podesta to Huma Abedin discussing diverting Clinton campaign funds to various Republicans who were secretly on the Clinton payroll.

The email, sent in July of this year, describes how funds were being diverted from Clinton’s campaign to the Super PACS of Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, and John Kasich.

According to the email: “JB, CF, and JK PACS will be noticeably silent for the rest of the campaign. Each will receive a significant allowance from advertising budget. HRC is in the loop and has talked to all three personally. Eyes only.”

THIS BOT TWEETS PHOTOS AND NAMES OF PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT 'DRUGS' ON VENMO

On Tuesday, Motherboard reported on a project called Public By Default, in which a researcher took publicly available data on Venmo transactions, and was then able to identify granular aspects of users’ lives, including a married couple going to the vet, shopping at Walmart, and ordering particular takeout food.

With that project, the researcher did not publicly release her dataset, and only reported the anonymized findings. Now, a separate programmer has gone in the opposite direction. ZUCKERBERG WARNS BREAK-UP OF FACEBOOK WILL LEAD TO CHINESE TECH DOMINANCE

Calls to break up Facebook in order to even out the playing field for competitors would result in a Chinese tech companies filling the void, said the social network’s co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.
He pointed to the fact that the Chinese firms which will likely step in and dominate don’t have traditional American values.

“I think you have this question from a policy perspective, which is, ‘do we want American companies to be exporting across the world?’” Zuckerberg said in an interview with technology news website Recode. “I think that the alternative, frankly, is going to be the Chinese companies.”

The social media tycoon added: “I think you can bet that, if the government here is worried about — whether it’s election interference or terrorism — I don’t think Chinese companies are going to want to cooperate as much and aid the national interest there.”

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CAR WASH MOGUL TO PAY $4.2 MILLION FOR CHEATING 800 WORKERS

A Southern California car wash mogul cited for cheating more than 800 workers and destroying evidence will pay $4.2 million in back wages and penalties after a two-year court battle with federal authorities.

Vahid David Delrahim, of Los Angeles, failed to pay his workers minimum wage or overtime at a dozen car washes in Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

A consent decree approved this week by U.S. District Court Judge Fernando Olguin orders Delrahim to pay $1.9 million in back wages and another $1.9 million in damages to the workers. In addition, he is fined $400,000 in civil penalties.

“This landmark case sends a powerful message that the Department of Labor will use strong law enforcement and litigation tools to protect employees and level the playing field for law-abiding employers,” said Juan Coria, the wage and hour division’s acting regional commissioner.

WELLS FARGO CAUGHT IN YET ANOTHER SCANDAL

Given the seemingly unceasing stream of scandal that has flowed out of Warren Buffett's favorite bank, Wells Fargo, it's hardly surprising that after doing everything from illegally repossessing the cars of American soldiers to fraudulently "cross-selling" credit cards and other products to millions of customers, the bank is now being called out for adding opaque products to the accounts of hundreds of thousands of customers - for services like pet insurance and legal services - without first explaining how to use them.

TRADE WAR WITH CHINA MORPHS INTO CURRENCY WAR: BIGGEST LOSER IS THE EU

Those who think "trade wars are good and easy to win" need to stop and reflect on currency wars.

Trump's "logic" rests on the notion that China has a huge trade surplus and the US can hurt China more than China can hurt the US.

Such logic is seriously misguided.

Trade is not a zero sum game. One does not gain by losing less. Losing is losing.
Yes, Trump is correct that the US can place more tariffs on Chinese goods than China can place on US goods. However, Trump cannot ignore US farmers, but the unelected leaders in China can suppress all dissent.
The US dollar floats, the Renmimbi (Yuan) doesn't. Thus, China can manipulate it currency, albeit with risks of capital flight, to mitigate some or all of US tariffs.
Currency charts can be confusing. Sometimes up is down and sometimes down is up, It depends on which currency is fist. The lead chart shows a 7.4% decline in the yuan vs the US dollar since April 16.

Meanwhile the dollar index itself has advanced.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump has a history of being an incredible businessman; why he is accepting such lousy advice in the instance of these tariffs is utterly beyond me.

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER PILE OF VOTER DATA LEFT LAYING AROUND ON A PUBLIC SERVER

Leaving private voter or customer data easily accessible on a public-facing server is the hot new fashion trend. You'll recall that it's a problem that has plagued the Defense Department, GOP data firm Deep Root Analytics (198 million voter records exposed), Verizon's marketing partners (6 million users impacted), Time Warner Cable (4 million users impacted), and countless other companies or partners that failed to implement even basic security practices. WATCH: Hillary Said In 2010 That Obama Wanted To 'Strengthen Russia'

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a 2010 interview on Russian television with Vladimir Pozner that the Obama administration wanted to "help strengthen Russia."

"What is being done to make it easier for Americans to come to Russia and for Russians to visit America?" Pozner asked.

"Well, we want to encourage a lot more travel and a lot more exchanges," Clinton responded. "As we move forward and we get more experience between our two countries and facilitating business travel, tourism travel, education travel, every kind of travel, I think it will become, at least I hope, easier and easier."

"Many of our businesses want to have their business leaders come and have open-ended visas and similarly a lot of Russians want to be able to come and have as much time as they need," Clinton continued. "That's what I would like to work towards."

Cohen’s team at Google was revealed to be working with Clinton alongside Al Jazeera in attempts to influence regime change in Syria following the publishing of Clinton’s emails by Wikileaks.

“We should understand that Google… is intensely aligned with U.S. exceptionalism… personally at the top aligned with Hillary Clinton’s election campaign and almost certainly once Hillary Clinton becomes president, those people in Google, like Jared Cohen, will be placed into positions around the new Clinton presidency” said Assange, heavily implying that Google and it’s employees could directly benefit from a Clinton presidency.

Flashback: Google Search's invisible influence makes Hillary Clinton 'shoo-in' for 2016 US election

Through five experiments carried out in two countries, the study found that the search engine manipulation effect (SEME) could even be used to determine an election outcome if the proportion of undecided voters is calculated first. SEME is described as a "virtually invisible" form of social influence that is currently not subject to any specific regulations anywhere in the world.

"What the research shows is that when a candidate is ranked higher on Google, that shifts the votes of undecided voters towards that candidate because we've all learned they have such incredible trust in those rankings," Robert Epstein, senior research psychologist at the American Institute for Behaviour Research and Technology and co-author of the study, told WhoWhatWhy. "Some 50% of all of our clicks go to the top two [search results] and [more than] 90% of all clicks go on the first page.

Flashback: How Google Could Rig the 2016 Election

Research I have been directing in recent years suggests that Google, Inc., has amassed far more power to control elections—indeed, to control a wide variety of opinions and beliefs—than any company in history has ever had. Google’s search algorithm can easily shift the voting preferences of undecided voters by 20 percent or more—up to 80 percent in some demographic groups—with virtually no one knowing they are being manipulated, according to experiments I conducted recently with Ronald E. Robertson.

Given that many elections are won by small margins, this gives Google the power, right now, to flip upwards of 25 percent of the national elections worldwide.

EU President Jean-Claude Juncker 'is a drunk who binges on GIN instead of water at meetings', leaving his aide - nicknamed 'the monster' - running the Commission, shock new account claims

The EU Council President is an alcoholic who binges on gin and leaves his ambitious but unelected deputy to govern, according to explosive new claims.

Jean-Claude Juncker - one of the most powerful men in Brussels - has been spotted stumbling around and unable to walk at the recent NATO summit.

He has repeatedly denied claims that he is an alcoholic and insisted that his sometimes shambolic appearance is down to chronic back pain known as sciatica.

But in an explosive new account, a Brussels insider says that he had heard the EU politician is 'a little too fond of the bottle'.

And Mr Juncker has left his ambitious and unelected chief civil servant Martin Selmayr - dubbed 'the monster' - to run the Commission, it is claimed.

Writing in The Spectator, Jean Quatremer - a French journalist who has covered the EU for years - says Brussels is awash with talk of the President's out-of-control drinking.

Nicaragua forces violently retake symbolic city

Nicaraguan national police and armed pro-government civilians laid siege Tuesday to and then retook a symbolically important neighborhood that has recently become a center of resistance to President Daniel Ortega's government.

Government forces began advancing on the Monimbo neighborhood of Masaya city before dawn and had largely regained control of it by the afternoon for the first time since massive protests against Ortega's government began in mid-April.

Youths fired homemade mortars from behind barriers of stacked paving stones pried from streets lined by single-story homes and artisan workshops in the town about 16 miles southeast of the capital, Managua.

But they were overwhelmingly outgunned by government loyalists who within hours had advanced to the heart of the neighborhood and began posting videos on social media of themselves firing semiautomatic rifles into the air in celebration.

Dems, Left Wing Media Claim Russian Hacking an ‘Act of War’

President Donald Trump’s refusal to rehash allegations of Kremlin-backed interference in the 2016 presidential election during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday incensed Democrat lawmakers and left wing media pundits.

Standing alongside Putin, President Trump steered clear of confrontation with the Russian, while questioning U.S. intelligence and last week’s federal indictments of 12 Russians for hacking into Democratic email accounts to purportedly hurt Hillary Clinton in 2016.“I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today,” President Trump said following a two hour one-on-one meeting with his Russian counterpart. “He just said it’s not Russia. I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be.”

President Trump’s remarks prompted an onslaught of calls for the U.S. to respond to Russia’s alleged meddling, described as an “act of war.”

A federal judge on Wednesday denied a request by President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort to suppress evidence seized by the FBI from his home as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing probe into whether Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign colluded with Russia.

Manafort’s lawyers had sought to limit the scope of evidence that prosecutors can rely on for his upcoming September trial in Washington, D.C., claiming that the search warrant was overly broad and unconstitutional.

“Given the nature of the investigation, the warrant was not too broad in scope,” wrote Judge Amy Berman Jackson for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in her ruling.

Israeli Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, under armed security by the Israeli police, on Wednesday, ahead of the Jewish holiday of Tisha B’Av.

Tisha B’Av notably commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temple, which Jews believe were located where Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, the third holiest site in Islam, now stands.

Local witnesses told Ma’an that dozens of Israeli settlers escorted by Israeli police stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque through the Moroccan Gate, which Israeli forces have taken under their control since the beginning of occupation.

Eyewitnesses added that the raids were in the form of consecutive large groups of Israeli settlers entering the compound.

Meanwhile, Israeli police forces were deployed across the entire compound and at the entrance gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, confiscating ID cards from Palestinian youths and women, in order to allow them entry into the compound.

36 Jewish groups defend Israel critics from ‘false accusations of anti-Semitism’

Thirty-six far left Jewish groups from around the world have signed a statement condemning the conflation of anti-Semitism with criticism of Israel.

“As social justice organizations from around the world, we write this letter with growing alarm regarding the targeting of organizations that support Palestinian rights in general and the nonviolent Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, in particular,” the statement says. “These attacks too often take the form of cynical and false accusations of anti-Semitism that dangerously conflate anti-Jewish racism with opposition to Israel’s policies and system of occupation and apartheid.”

Among the U.S.-based groups to sign the statement are Jewish Voice for Peace, which initiated the statement; Jews for Palestinian Right of Return; Jews of Color & Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews in Solidarity w/ Palestine; and Jews Say No!

Top US senator warns Israel against deal with Russia over Syria

A senior US lawmaker early Thursday warned Israel against making a deal with Russia on the future of Syria.

“To our friends in Israel — be very careful making agreements with Russia re Syria that affect U.S. interests,” tweeted South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, a former Republican presidential candidate.

“I don’t trust Russia to police Iran or anyone else in Syria. U.S. must maintain presence in Syria to ensure ISIS doesn’t come back and to counter Russia/Iran influence,” he added.

Crazed US Presstitutes Drive The World To Nuclear War By Paul Craig Roberts

Humanity has on numerous occasions narrowly missed nuclear Armageddon. Each time it was averted by military officers, both American and Soviet, who understood that the relations between the US and the Soviet Union were not that strained. Today this situation has been radically altered by the corrupt American media, Democratic Party, and military/security complex, who, acting in behalf of Hillary’s political interest and the greed of the armaments industry, have demonized Russia and her president to the extent that malfunctioning warning systems or a temper tantrum of a crazed politician are likely to result in a fatal launch.

Syrian civil war: Israeli army turns away refugees fleeing fighting at border

Syrians fleeing fighting in the country’s south have been turned away from the Golan Heights border area by Israeli soldiers, video footage shows.

Several dozen people can be seen approaching the Israeli-occupied frontier in Al Jazeera footage of the incident, waving white cloths in an apparent request for help or refuge.

A Reuters reporter at the scene said an officer on the Israeli side of the militarised fence told the crowd in Arabic, “Go back before something bad happens. If you want us to be able to help you, go back,” using a megaphone. “Get a move on.”

Family's $500K inheritance seized by U.S. border officials

An Ottawa man acting as executor of a will says TD Canada Trust gave him "faulty advice" to mail $500,000 in bank drafts to family members in the U.S. — a move that caught the attention of U.S. border officials, who seized the money.

Almost a year later, the money is still stuck at the border. Executor David Saikaley worries the family members may never see their inheritance.

I trusted the bank. I thought they were experts
- David Saikaley , executor of will
"It's like this money has fallen into a black hole," said Saikaley.

He was in a rush to send the money, because one beneficiary's health is quickly deteriorating, and he needs to pay a mounting pile of medical bills.

Maxine Waters Fears "Armed Protests" As Oath Keepers Descend On Los Angeles

California Democrat Maxine Waters warned supporters on Wednesday of possible "armed protests" by the Oath Keepers organization, which she described as "an anti-government militia" that has conducted armed protests across the country.

The group, founded by Yale Law graduate Stuart Rhodes, bills itself as an association of non-partisan current and former military officers, cops and first responders and notably provided disaster relief to Texas, Louisiana and Puerto Rican hurricane victims. They also have a policy to physically remove any white supremacists from their rallies - but they do like their guns.

On Tuesday, the group issued a "call to action" against Waters, urging members to prepare for as many as several weeks of protests in the Los Angeles area.

Israel Okays Law Limiting Palestinian Access to Courts

The Knesset (Israel’s parliament) on Tuesday approved the second and third readings of legislation that critics say will limit Palestinian access to the Israeli judicial system and pave the way for the “Judaization” of the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

The controversial legislation, which was introduced by Israel’s right-wing Jewish Home party, was approved in a vote of 56 to 48.

The law will effectively transfer jurisdiction over administrative issues related to the occupied West Bank from the Israeli Supreme Court to the Administrative Court in Jerusalem.

Critics see the legislation as another step toward the de-facto annexation of the West Bank by Israel.

The law will also prohibit human rights groups — along with Palestinians affected by Israeli violations — from petitioning Israel’s Supreme Court.

Jeremy Corbyn called 'f****** racist and antisemite' by Labour MP Dame Margaret Hodge

Jeremy Corbyn was called a "f****** racist and an antisemite" by one of his own Jewish MPs in an extraordinary Commons bust-up.

Dame Margaret Hodge, a former minister, reportedly told her party leader he did not want "people like me" in the party.

The furious row came after Labour adopted a new code of conduct that has been heavily criticised by Jewish community leaders and dozens of the party's own MPs.

Dame Margaret has previously spoken of having lost relatives in the Holocaust and has criticised the Labour leadership's approach to tackling anti-Jewish abuse in the party.

According to the Huffington Post, she confronted Mr Corbyn behind the Speaker's chair after crunch votes on Brexit on Tuesday night.

US Staged a Coup in Ukraine?—?Brief History and Facts

So what happened in late 2013 and early 2014 in Kiev, Ukraine? There was the Euromaidan “revolution” and the Ukrainian President fled the country, right? Not so simple. There is geopolitics and a history of 70 years of meddling in Ukraine by the US.

First, objectively speaking, it’s curious that a US Senator (John McCain) and the US Assistant Secretary of State (Victoria Nuland) repeatedly attended political protests in another country. Oh, Nuland is also the wife of a prominent warmongering Neocon, Robert Kagan.

Imagine if Russian officials were in Mexico doing this at anti-US rallies!

L.A. Fights for Right to Remain a City of Sanctuary

Immigration — particularly the diabolical saga at the U.S.-Mexico border, with children being taken from their parents' arms and placed in detention camps — has dominated local, national and international news coverage for weeks.

But here in California we are having our own immigration-based battles with the Trump administration in the courtroom, where a federal judge recently handed down rulings for and against the Golden State’s longtime position as a sanctuary city for undocumented immigrants.

A Top Democrat Just Sealed The Party’s Doom In 2018

In the course of the interview, Hoover quizzed Ocasio-Cortez about her thoughts on the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

Like any good indoctrinated leftist, Ocasio-Cortez came down strongly on the side of the Palestinians and blasted the Israelis as “occupiers.”

Ocasio Cortez stated:

“I also think that what people are starting to see, at least in the occupation of Palestine, is just an increasing crisis of humanitarian conditions, and that to me is where I tend to come from on this issue.”

When Hoover asked her to explain, Ocasio-Cortez responded, “Oh, um. [pause] I think what I meant is like the settlements that are increasing in some of these areas in places where um, where Palestinians are facing difficulty in access to their housing and homes.”

Hoover tried one more time to push Ocasio-Cortez to explain herself, which is when the 28 year-old bartender threw up her hands and declared she had no idea what she was talking about.

Mexico's next government to weigh legalizing drugs

Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has given his future interior minister "carte blanche" to explore the possibility of legalizing drugs in a bid to curb violent crime, she said Tuesday.

Olga Sanchez Cordero, a former Supreme Court judge tapped to lead the interior ministry, drew applause when she made the comment at a university seminar on addressing brutal violence fueled by Mexico's drug cartels, the biggest suppliers to US consumers of cocaine, heroin and other narcotics.

It was one of her first public events since Lopez Obrador, a leftist widely known as "AMLO," won a landslide victory in Mexico's July 1 election with a promise of sweeping change in a country fed up with crime and corruption.

DHS Official: Deported Parents Decided to Leave 100-Plus Children Behind

More than 100 deported migrant parents have separated themselves from their children and left them behind in the United States, according to Kevin McAleenan, head of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

“So we’ve seen many [deported] parents — apparently over a hundred already — say that they’d rather have their child stay here,” McAleenan told Politico’s interviewer, Luiza Chwialkowska Savage. “They might have a family member who that child can be placed with in the U.S., but that is the parent’s decision,” he said July 17.

The growing number of self-imposed separations comes as progressives and judges continue their emotional protests against the federal effort to shelter children while their migrant parents are detained for immigration violations or asylum hearings.

Smugglers Using Unaccompanied Minors to Carry Drugs Across Mexican Border, Say Feds

Border Patrol agents in South Texas arrested three unaccompanied minors being used by Mexican cartels to smuggle marijuana across the Rio Grande River. The actions are indicative of the types of abuses put upon Central American juveniles who are being put through the human smuggling process.

Rio Grande Valley(RGV) Sector agents assigned to the Fort Brown Station observed a group of illegal aliens crossing the border from Mexico while carrying large backpacks on July 12. The agents suspected the backpacks carried drugs, according to information provided to Breitbart Texas by RGV Sector officials.

The agents intercepted the group and arrested a 25-year-0ld man and a 15-year-old juvenile. The balance of the group quickly fled back across the river into Mexico, officials stated. A search of the three bundles led to the discovery of 64 pounds. Officials estimated the value of the load to have a street value of $51,000. The man and the juvenile were arrested.

Immigration is now the top political issue in the nation, exceeding concerns about the state of government, according to Gallup.
The July poll of 1,033 adults showed that:

The 22% of Americans in July who say immigration is the top problem is up from 14% in June and is the highest percentage naming that issue in Gallup’s history of asking the “most important problem” question. The previous high had been 19%.

Just 19 percent of Americans say “government” is the most important problem, said Gallup.

Democrats put a higher priority on “government” over immigration by 27 percent to 18 percent. Thirty-five percent of Republicans prioritize immigration, while just 15 percent are more concerned about government. Independents split evenly, 17 percent to 17 percent, said Gallup.
