Operation Gladio: The Unholy Alliance between the Vatican, the CIA, and the Mafia (Book review)

The story started as early as 1942 with the formation of the Vatican Bank. The same year ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) recruited Lucky Luciano, a pre-eminent drug lord. The Swiss director of the US Office of Strategic Services (OSS) Allen Dulles came to the conclusion, “We’re fighting the wrong enemy.” Schutzstaffel (SS) sent Dulles a message through the Vatican that the Nazi government wanted to establish a separate peace with the United States; they wanted to fight the Soviets. Dulles met Prince Max von Hohenlohe in Bern. Hohenlohe found Dulles in agreement with him. Later, Dulles also met other Nazi officials to forge the new alliance. Chief of Special Intelligence for the OSS in China Col. Paul E Helliwell thought of another unholy alliance between the US intelligence community and organized crime groups. Consequently, the US intelligence agencies got drug lord Lucky Luciano released from jail, allowed him to build his narcotic empire, and simply watched the flow of drugs into the largely black ghettos of New York and Washington. The unholy alliance of the American spies and criminals was replicated everywhere, from Laos and Burma to Marseilles and Panama.

Expert says US will unlikely expand NATO by absorbing Ukraine, Georgia

U.S. will unlikely continue pressing forward with the idea of Ukraine and Georgia’s absorption into NATO but the expansion of the North-Atlantic pact may occur through the incorporation of Balkan and, quite possibly, Central Asian countries, a leading Russian expert said on Wednesday.
Dr. Zolotaryov believes NATO’s expansion might spread to other regions, including the Balkans. "The prospect there is unambiguous, since the Balkan nations will seek to get NATO membership," he said.
He sees a number of objective reasons for this.
"All of them (Balkan nations - TASS) are small enough state but they will have to care for their defence and security," Dr. Zolotaryov said. "Membership of NATO will enable them to minimize these expenses. Recall that European countries spend less than 2% of their GDP for defense."
He believes Central Asia is one more region where NATO’s expansion might spread to.

The Red Army's orgy of rape in the dying days of Nazi Germany was conducted on a much greater scale than previously suspected, according to a new book by the military historian Anthony Beevor.

PSYCHOPATHS, 9/11 AND EVERLASTING WAR

The lie of 9/11 has provided the pretext for the most terrible wars on the Muslim peoples in defiance of the Nuremberg Protocols and the UN Charter.

Unless that lie is laid bare by truth, 9/11 will be seen as the crucible from which World War Three erupted. There will be no way back from the smoking ruins for those unfortunate enough who survive. The images from Hiroshima and Nagasaki are there to warn us.

Media obfuscation and the Khadr controversy

The story of Omar Khadr unveils the sickening depravity of the Western/Zionist/Neocon warmongers and their bought-and-paid-for presstitutes.

For just shy of a decade, the Americans tortured the Canadian-born Khadr in the Guantanamo Bay concentration camp before relinquishing him to Canada where he has been held in Canadian jails since 2012.

Upon his release on bail on May 7, Canadian neocons began screeching from the hilltops about the ‘travesty’ of temporarily freeing a ‘convicted terrorist.’ Meanwhile, the neo-liberal crypto-militarists who occupy Canada’s mainstream media engaged in stereotypical faux debates consisting of highly constrained babble about the ‘rights and wrongs’ of the treatment of Khadr by the Canadian and American governments.

The issue is never framed properly and is in fact intentionally obfuscated.

NATO and the EU call for calm in Macedonia

NATO and the European Union have called for a return to calm in Macedonia after clashes between police and an armed group left at least 22 people dead.

And in a statement late on Saturday, Johannes Hahn, EU enlargement commissioner, said: "Any further escalation must be avoided, not the least in the interest of the overall stability in the country."

European Powers Seek to Bomb Libya to Stop Migrants

The European Union is preparing to bomb targets in Libya to stop migrants from attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea in small boats. EU foreign policy coordinator Federica Mogherini is to brief the United Nations Security Council Monday on plans for a “Chapter VII” resolution that would give a UN green light for the use of force.

The plan is the outcome of several weeks of high-level consultations among the 28 EU members, including a foreign ministers’ meeting, held in response to a series of incidents of mass drowning of refugees. The worst such tragedy took place April 19, when some 900 drowned when their small boat capsized after colliding with a freighter.

War Threat Rises As Economy Declines — Paul Craig Roberts,

On the foreign policy front, the hubris and arrogance of America’s self-image as the “exceptional, indispensable” country with hegemonic rights over other countries means that the world is primed for war. Neither Russia nor China will accept the vassalage status accepted by the UK, Germany, France and the rest of Europe, Canada, Japan and Australia. The Wolfowitz Doctrine makes it clear that the price of world peace is the world’s acceptance of Washington’s hegemony.

Therefore, unless the dollar and with it US power collapses or Europe finds the courage to break with Washington and to pursue an independent foreign policy, saying good-bye to NATO, nuclear war is our likely future.

Will Austerity Be the Straw that Breaks the EU AND the UK?

Very much like the Greeks, the Scots unambiguously voted down austerity. And in very much the same fashion, they face an entity that claims to be more powerful and insists on forcing more austerity down their throats anyway. It seems inevitable that at some point these larger entities will start to crack and break down into smaller pieces. As empires always do. Now, the EU was of course never an empire, there’s just tons of bureaucrats dreaming of that, and Britain is a long-decayed empire.

Larger entities like empires are more powerful only for a limited period of time, for as long as the center can make the periphery benefit; once the center starts feeding off the periphery, the endgame starts. This can take a while, but it will happen, it’s a law of nature. When periphery regions figure out they have nothing to lose by splitting off, they will elect to stand on their own two feet and be their own boss.

And it’s not as if either Scotland or Greece lack a history of fighting for their independence. Just a reminder.

Head of the Department on International Financial Issues at the Centre for European Economic Research, Professor Michael Schroeder said that the European crisis affects export-oriented producers more than others. As a result, market conditions weaken, unemployment rises, and living standards lower. According to the expert, this situation may last for three to four years. Norwegian daily calls PM’s decision to stay away from VE-Day trip to Moscow cowardly

Norwegian daily Dagbladet has dismissed as erroneous and cowardly the decision by Prime Minister Erna Solberg to renounce a trip to Moscow where she was expected to join the festivities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary since the end of World War II on May 9. Dagbladet said the Norwegian government was blindly walking in the footsteps of the EU and ignoring a special type of relationship that had taken shape between the countries in the Barents region.
Norwegian Foreign Ministry said earlier the presence of any members of the Norwegian government at the Victory Parade in Moscow might send an incorrect signal, since Norway thought Russia had been guilty of encroaching on international law and destabilizing the situation in eastern Ukraine.
