Finnish politician suggests sterilizing African immigrants 'to avoid total collapse' in Helsinki

A City of Helsinki deputy councilor has come under fire after he publicly stated in a Facebook post that African men who come to Finland as refugees should not be allowed to have more than three children, and should be sterilized instead.

According to Olli Sademies, 67, the problem with African immigrants is that they have too many children. So forced sterilization is the way to tackle it, he suggested.

It's Official: Austria Repatriates Gold, Confirms Loss Of Faith In Bank Of England

One week ago, the world was not exactly shocked to learn that after Germany and the Netherlands, one more country had unofficially joined the ranks of nations who have seen this all before and know how it ends, when reports emerged that Austria would repatriate 140 tons of gold from the Bank of England (appropriately immortalized in "this is what happens when you hand your gold over to The Bank of England for "safekeeping".) As of today, it is official.

Russia stations Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad: NATO cries wolf

The deployment of Iskander-M missile complexes in Kaliningrad will "fundamentally change the balance of security in Europe," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said during a speech at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies on Wednesday.

Stoltenberg described Moscow's actions as "unjustified, destabilizing and dangerous" while adding that the alliance did not wish to deepen its confrontation with Russia.

In Moscow President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov dismissed the NATO chief's words about Moscow allegedly using military drills as a cover for moving troops to Ukrainian territory as "irrelevant."

To beat ISIS, kick out US-led coalition

It is time to cut these losses and bring some heavyweights into this battle against extremism.

Baghdad and Washington are pointing fingers, each accusing the other of being asleep on the job.

An objective look at US interests in the region paint an entirely different picture. The Americans seek to maintain absolute hegemony in the Mideast, even as they exit costly military occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Their primary interests are 1) access to low cost oil and gas, 2) propping up Israel, and more recently, 3) undermining Russian (and Chinese) influence in the region.

Britain is Set to Open the Door to Cancerous GMO

By Steven MacMillan

This summer, British scientists are expected to begin field trials of a genetically modified (GMO) potato dubbed by proponents the ‘super spud’, whose developers boast will be free of fungal diseases and other pest problems. GMO maize and rapeseed oil could also be grown in England by the end of this year, as Westminster is pushing for more GMO foods to be introduced into the UK food supply...

The ‘war’ word is being increasingly heard as Europe, Russia, China and the United States adopt provocative postures

IS the world going mad? Military posturing is quietly reaching new extremes in Europe, the Mediterranean and the South China Sea. And the provocative bluster has just reached new heights.

The source was anonymous. But the mouthpiece has a measure of credibility. High profile military analyst and former US Naval War College lecturer John Schindler tweeted last week: “Said a senior NATO (non-US) GOFO to me today: ‘We’ll probably be at war this summer. If we’re lucky it won’t be nuclear.’ Let that sink in.”

German ministers call for EU-wide ban on Monsanto's deadly glyphosate herbicide

Monsanto may be expanding its operations in the United States, but elsewhere, lawmakers, scientists, activists and ordinary citizens are increasingly questioning (and in many cases banning) the introduction of GM crops, along with the use of the glyphosate herbicide (Monsanto's Roundup).

State consumer protection ministers in Germany are advocating an EU-wide ban on glyphosate herbicides in response to the World Health Organization's (WHO) categorization of the chemical as "probably carcinogenic."

US Shoots Itself in the Foot Escalating Tensions With Russia, China, Iran

The Obama administration has repeatedly sent wrong signals to Russia, China and Iran, slamming the countries for non-existent expansionism and so far showing the disheartening dysfunction in America’s foreign policy, former CIA Case Officer and Army Intelligence Officer Philip Giraldi underscored, according to Sputnik.

Memorial Day: Praying for Peace While Waging Permanent War?

First, we must learn the facts and face the truth that the U.S. is the biggest war maker in the world.

Second, we must commit ourselves and organize others to a true revolution of values and confront the corporations and politicians who continue to push our nation into war and inflate the military budget with the hot air of permanent fear mongering.

Third, we must admit what our country has been doing wrong, and we must make amends for the violence that the U.S. has waged on countries all over our world.

A Poem On War

Beyond the count of years I walked the world,

and my children built their shrines to me.

Decades and centuries and millennia pass,

and still the shrines are built.

Temples insubstantial to men,

clear to my eyes.

No foundations or walls or roofs,

but shrines nonetheless.

Holy ground, consecrated

Today, every day, somewhere in the world,

the earth is prepared for my coming.

My hallowed grounds are everywhere.

In valleys and on mountains,

on broad plains and deep in hidden passes,

in deserts, on city streets.

Nameless, unremembered places.

The aim was to spread the chaos already infecting Ukraine into Macedonia in order to stall the passage of a Russian gas pipeline to the European Union.

European Commission Proposes Relocation of 40,000 Refugees From Italy and Greece

The European Commission has yet to provide an exact number for the proposed relocation. “The 40,000 figure could have been set to guarantee acceptance after some EU states, notably France, had initially baulked at the idea of opening their doors to migrants.”

Ole Dammegard - Making Critical Thinking Illegal: Questioning the Holocaust

Ole Dammegård is an author, international speaker, investigator, former journalist, artist and creator of the website Light On Conspiracies. He returns to Red Ice Radio for a special extended segment to speak about his research and thoughts on an extremely controversial subject, the Jewish holocaust. Ole has spent at least 25 years investigating a multitude of conspiracies, and this area of history involves such an incredibly sinister agenda that it is now illegal in some European countries to question the official story or even attempt to investigate the facts. We discuss the sad fact that in the west, where we have a strong tradition of philosophizing and discussion, this story involves so much horror, misery and bloodshed that most will not even dare entertain the notion of a massive cover-up at play.

Jeb Bush, James Baker, and the Pro-Israel Mega-Donors

What is the issue, that gets little attention in the mainstream, is that the presidential candidates find it necessary to pay obeisance to ultra-powerful individuals who represent the interests of Israel, not the United States.

What exists now is a “passionate attachment” to a foreign country on steroids that undercuts American security.

For while the mainstream media is analyzing in microscopic detail Jeb’s stumbling over his Iraq war response, it naturally ignores that third rail in contemporary American politics, the power of the Israel lobby.

Moldova: Israeli Oligarch stole $1 billion

I am glad to learn that 3.5 million Moldovans have been taken to cleaners by an Israeli-born young Jewish billionaire Ilan Shor, 28.

On Monday, a Moldovan court rejected the appeal by Ilan Shor against his earlier sentence of house arrest. Last year, he was accused of stealing nearly $1 billion, or 12 percent of Moldova’s GDP. His house arrest began only last week.

Pity, had he ripped Americans of $1 billion, he would be enjoying a beautiful ‘retirement’ in sunny Tel Aviv, home to 280 Jewish brothels.

Azerbaijan had objections to Riga summit text in part concerning Nagorno Karabakh — source

Baku had certain objections to the text of the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga in the paragraph on the situation in the mostly Armenian populated Azerbaijani enclave of Nagorno Karabakh, a diplomatic source told Tass on Friday.
"Armenia and Belarus had objections on Crimea," the source said. "Azerbaijan had another reason: the country’s representatives would want to see more attention paid to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," he added.
The Eastern Partnership summit in Riga has once again lost an opportunity to make a step towards bridging a gap on the continent, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The ministry said it had kept a close eye on the Riga summit. "Its results will be thoroughly analyzed from the point of view of fulfilling the European Commission’s pledged that this partnership is not aimed against Russia’s interests," the ministry said, adding that first conclusions had already been drawn. http://tass.ru/en/world/796348

The Next Ukraine

While the world’s attention is focused on the Middle East, as usual, where ISIS – the creation of Washington’s Saudi and Gulf allies – is the focus of the latest alleged “terrorist threat,” a potentially more dangerous crisis is being ramped up by our professional regime-changers in the volatile Balkans.

The Russian-Turkish plan to pipe Russian oil through Turkey and then on to Macedonia and thence into southern Europe has long been opposed by the West, which is seeking to block the Russians at every turn. Now the Western powers have found an effective way to stop it: by overthrowing the pro-Russian government of Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at how "wonderfully" thinks have gone with regime change in Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, and Libya, one might imagine that these epic fails might give these busy little bees just a moment of pause; but apparently, absolutely not.

It appears that one of the most critical criteria for working for the US government are absolute, pathological inabilities to either learn from one's mistakes, or think a scenario all the way through.

War of the Idiot

Today, many European politicians and mainstream journalists cry crocodile tears about Syria´s ancient city of Palmyra coming under terrorist control. They express their concerns that the armed militants of the "Islamic State" will destroy Palmyra, which harbors the ruins of a great city that was once one of the world's key cultural hubs. It wouldn´t be the first time that the "Islamic State" destroys cultural heritage.

But those emotions are deeply hypocritical, because many of those who are now so concerned are, in reality, the ideological spin doctors of the "Islamic State" and other terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq. With their support for the so-called "Syrian Revolution," they fueled these movements.

Hope – versus Neoliberalism – an Ode to Solidarity

The new apparent Hope – is it what my friend Finian Cunningham says – the first ‘eye blinking’ by Washington facing Russia?

We are so thirsty for hope, hope for another, more just, more equitable world, we see hope in the first ‘blinking of an eye’. Hope is good. Hope is the basis for action. And action must be the consequence of hope – hope that not all is lost. Action to break that impasse of neoliberal all-engulfing greed must be simple. We have become strangers to ourselves. We must return to our roots, recognizing where and why we failed to diagnose the beast. Our awakened, re-kindled sense of consciousness may lead us to what we have lost – our inherent sense of solidarity.

Let’s hope together for that to happen – to happen soon, for the suffering is too great to endure much longer. We, the 99.99 % have it in our power to stop this misery and save our planet.
