Monsanto's Covert War on European Food Security

Working quietly on the back of political turmoil driven by Western special interests (including itself) Monsanto has begun literally planting the seeds of genetically modified organisms’ spread throughout Europe, starting in Ukraine and working westward toward the European Union thanks to a slowly but surely softening by regulators regarding GMOs, despite their widespread unpopularity.

Since Monsanto already operates in Ukraine, what else would it be investing in additionally that it hasn’t had the opportunity to before besides GMOs? Ukraine would serve as the perfect victim to host Monsanto and other biotech corporations’ GMO-infected products in the heart of Europe.

Poverty returns to Europe by leaps and bounds

The news about the economic situation in the EU reminds frontline reports. Head of Unilever in Western Europe, Ian Zeyderveld, from the pages of the Financial Times Deutschland said that poverty is returning to Europe. The main reason for the increasingly lower income of the residents of the Old World is a full-blown crisis in the euro area that is still far from complete.
Head of the Department on International Financial Issues at the Centre for European Economic Research, Professor Michael Schroeder said that the European crisis affects export-oriented producers more than others. As a result, market conditions weaken, unemployment rises, and living standards lower. According to the expert, this situation may last for three to four years. Numerous examples of the fall of the level of European citizens clearly illustrate his words.

Aggressive USA can never be separated from detoothed Europe

A well- known political scientist, deputy director of the Institute of CIS Countries Vladimir Zharikhin has recently paid a visit to the Pravda.Ru studio. In a conversation with editor-in-chief Inna Novikova, the political scientist spoke about the trap, in which Europe found itself after the Second World War and about the idealization of the West in the former Soviet Union.
Most Russians still have an idealistic notion of Europe. Many think that Europe is all warm and fuzzy. Indeed, Europe is the source of our civilization, but it has never been warm and fuzzy. In a nutshell, Europe was spreading wars, crusades and racism throughout its history. Europeans would come to other countries to exterminate their populations. Who was doing racism in the USA? Immigrants from Europe were.

Norwegian daily calls PM’s decision to stay away from VE-Day trip to Moscow cowardly

Norwegian daily Dagbladet has dismissed as erroneous and cowardly the decision by Prime Minister Erna Solberg to renounce a trip to Moscow where she was expected to join the festivities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary since the end of World War II on May 9. Dagbladet said the Norwegian government was blindly walking in the footsteps of the EU and ignoring a special type of relationship that had taken shape between the countries in the Barents region.
Norwegian Foreign Ministry said earlier the presence of any members of the Norwegian government at the Victory Parade in Moscow might send an incorrect signal, since Norway thought Russia had been guilty of encroaching on international law and destabilizing the situation in eastern Ukraine.

U.S. Urges Greece to Resist Russian Gas Pipeline

The United States wants Greece to focus on a Western-backed pipeline project rather than a rival gas pipeline that Athens is discussing with Russia, the top U.S. energy diplomat said on Friday after talks with Greek officials.
The United States, however, is pushing Greece to stick with the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) that is set to bring gas from Azerbaijan to Europe by crossing through Turkey, Greece, Albania and the Adriatic Sea.

Greece could use 'parallel currency' as desperation grows

Greece could start using a "parallel currency" to pay its civil servants if it runs out of cash, one of the European Central Bank's board members has suggested.

Highlighting the desperate situation faced by the country, Yves Merch, a member of the ECB's executive board and governor of Luxembourg's central bank, told Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia that Greece could resort to using "exceptional tools" to pay its obligations.

"There are intermediate solutions circulating, such as the issuance of a parallel currency or IOUs," he told the newspaper. "All these measures are among the exceptional tools that any government can consider if it has no other options. But all of them have a high cost."

Greece set to hit holidaymakers with 18% tax on hotels and restaurants (but tourism chiefs warn move is 'catastrophic')

Tax could rise to 18 per cent from 13 per cent on restaurant bills, while tax on hotels could almost triple from the current 6.5 per cent rate.

Fears are growing that it will not only affect those with existing bookings to visit the country, but also put prospective tourists off.

A warning from the generals of the former GDR: "Haven’t the recent US/NATO wars brought enough grief ?"

In the years of the Cold War, in which we lived through long stretches of confrontation and militarization right up to the edge of open conflict, we employed our military expertise for the maintenance of peace and the protection of our socialist German Democratic Republic. The National People’s Army was not involved for a single day in armed conflict, and in the events of 1989-90 it played a leading role in seeing to it that no arms came into use. Peace was always the number one maxim of our dealings. And that is why we firmly oppose using the military factor as an instrument of policy. Experience makes clear that the burning questions of our time are not to be solved by military means.

More Neocon-Zionist Theater in Texas

Gellar’s ‘Draw the Prophet’ charade was the perfect bait for any would-be radical trying to make a name for himself, yet they allowed the provocation to proceed under the pretext of ‘upholding the first amendment.’

As the Garland police spokesman confessed, this had all been pre-planned months beforehand. Only the very naïve or hopelessly deluded will put any faith in the FBI’s lame-duck denials that they deliberately allow attacks of these sorts to take place, or organize them directly by way of informants, such as the one linked to Simpson.

Nobel Prize Winning Economist Joe Stiglitz Fails Economic History.

My colleague Dan Mitchell and I have long been baffled by the Quixotic efforts of such prominent economists Paul Krugman and Joe Stiglitz to blame economic stagnation in the eurozone on insufficient government spending.

Government spending in the euro countries rose from 45.3% of GDP in 2007 to 49.5% in 2013, according to Eurostat, with particularly huge increases in Greece, France, Italy and Portugal. The table below shows how little austerity there has been in euro public sectors.

Chaos – not Victory – is Empire’s Name of the Game

“Once again a country “liberated” by the West is sinking deeper and deeper into chaos.”

This could be anyone of the countries in conflict, where Washington and its Western and Middle Eastern stooges sow war – eternal chaos, misery, death – and submission.

This is precisely the point: The Washington / NATO strategy is not to ‘win’ a war or conflict, but to create ongoing – endless chaos. That’s the way (i) to control people, nations and their resources; (ii) to assure the west is in continuous need for military – troops and equipment – remember more than 50% of the US GDP depends on the military industrial complex, related industries and services; and (iii) finally, a country in disarray or chaos, is broke and needs money – money with hardship conditions, ‘austerity’ money from the notorious IMF, World Bank and other associated nefarious ‘development institutions’ and money lenders; money that equals enslavement, especially with corrupt leaders that do not care for their people.

UK General Election: Democracy hits the bottom

Neither Cameron nor Miliband look like getting an overall majority...

We are forced to choose between dubious pledges by low-calibre leaders nobody wants

The two main parties, Conservatives (Tories) and Labour, are neck and neck with a passel of smaller parties snapping at their heels with increasing support.

The economy is still in a deep hole. The much trumpeted recovery is half-baked and fragile. It is based on an increasingly low-wage economy while the fat cats at the other end of the scale keep getting fatter.

NATO & ALLIES STAGE THOUSANDS-STRONG DRILLS ACROSS EUROPE

Three sets of military exercises kicked off in Europe on Monday, involving thousands of servicemen from a variety of NATO nations and their allies, amid a wave of similar action across the area.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Without American and/or NATO boots on the ground here, actively involved in combat, there is no way the Ukrainian military can take back the breakaway provinces.

One has to wonder if this is just want these exercises are ultimately engineered toward doing just that; and at that point, Putin will have no choice other than reluctantly order military action.

We might well expect to see a "false flag" in Ukraine soon, to be blamed on Russia as the pretext for staging NATO and US military in Ukraine to fight Russia.

Such an attack would be an absolute fool's errand, and in light of the reality that the US doesn't have the money, the manufacturing, or the troop strength to win a conventional war against Russia, the prospects for a military victory are bleak in the extreme, even with NATO's assistance.

I would like to remind our readers that a bill still lingers, in the House Armed Service Committee, two years after its being submitted by Charlie Rangel, to reinstate the draft, and include our young women, as well as our young men.

Techno-Financial Capital and Genocide of the Poorest of the Poor

It is no coincidence that the most violent assaults and invasions by the Euro-American powers have taken place against the poorest countries in each region of the world. The occupation continues. Honduras, the second poorest country in the region, experienced a US-backed coup d’état deposed their recently elected president and imposed a terrorist puppet regime, which regularly assassinates dissidents and landless rural workers. FLASHBACK 2013 - Hungary Sheds Bankers’ Shackles

Hungary is making history of the first order.

Not since the 1930s in Germany has a major European country dared to escape from the clutches of the Rothschild-controlled international banking cartels. This is stupendous news that should encourage nationalist patriots worldwide to increase the fight for freedom from financial tyranny.

Already in 2011, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán promised to serve justice on his socialist predecessors, who sold the nation’s people into unending debt slavery under the lash of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the terrorist state of Israel. Those earlier administrations were riddled with Israelis in high places, to the fury of the masses, who finally elected Orbán’s Fidesz party in response.

Disturbing issues raised as banker is acquitted in Irish student rape trial

The young woman, just 20 at the time and under the legal drinking age, ended up drinking in a Hamptons night club, returning to the nearby home of a stranger, swimming in her underwear in his swimming pool while Lee swam naked and then alleging rape subsequently in his bathroom.

It must have been a soul-destroying exercise to return to the US to testify in the trial and have her evidence of rape found not convincing by the judge who stated emphatically it did not pass the burden of proof.

At the very least, former Goldman Sachs executive Lee was a creep on the night, a married man out hunting for women, leaving his wife behind in Manhattan on his birthday.

He picked up a doubtless naive and likely inebriated young Irish girl and took her back to his $32,000 a month rented mansion. To say this was a matchup of unequals was putting it mildly.
