EU to blacklist eight Russians over Azov Sea stand-off - sources

The European Union will blacklist eight more Russians over a stand-off with Ukraine in the Azov Sea, diplomatic sources said on Friday.

EU foreign ministers will discuss on Monday further EU support for Ukraine, especially the south-eastern regions most affected by the conflict. Russia annexed the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea from Kiev in 2014 and backed separatist rebels in Donetsk and Luhansk industrial regions.

Last November, the Russian navy captured 24 Ukrainian sailors and their vessels in the Kerch Strait, which links the Black and Azov seas. Moscow has not heeded EU calls to release them.

Trump demands Europe 'take back' and lock up 800 ISIS fighters captured in Syria or he warns the US will be forced to release the terrorists to 'permeate Europe'

President Trump wants America's European allies to put more than 800 ISIS fighters captured in Syria on trial.

'The United States is asking Britain, France, Germany and other European allies to take back over 800 ISIS fighters that we captured in Syria and put them on trial,' the president tweeted late Saturday.

'The Caliphate is ready to fall. The alternative is not a good one in that we will be forced to release them.'

Trump continued: 'The U.S. does not want to watch as these ISIS fighters permeate Europe, which is where they are expected to go.

'We do so much, and spend so much - Time for others to step up and do the job that they are so capable of doing. We are pulling back after 100% Caliphate victory!'

Denmark Rejects US Call to Take Back Daesh Fighters, Germany Notes Legal Issues

A day before US President Donald Trump urged EU allies to take back over 800 Daesh* fighters that had been captured in Syria and put them on trial.

According to the DPA news agency, citing representatives of Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Copenhagen won't take back Daesh fighters to stand trial in the country.

"We are talking about the most dangerous people in the world. We should not take them back", he stressed, adding that Trump's statement was premature, as the situation in Syria is far from stable.

US mobilizes allies to blame Russia for dismantling INF Treaty - Lavrov

Washington takes unscrupulous steps mobilizing its allies to put the blame for dismantling the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) on Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters in Munich on Saturday.

"Back in October, US officials told us that President [Donald] Trump announced a withdrawal from the treaty. It is not an invitation for dialogue but a final decision," Lavrov said.

"Afterwards, it has not been very scrupulous to mobilize allies in order to blame us for dismantling this crucial agreement," he said.

Lavrov said that Moscow has no doubts that Washington warned NATO officials against attending a briefing organized by the Russian Foreign and Defense Ministries on the 9M729 cruise missile.

Spike in Gibraltar Tensions as Spanish Ship Orders Vessels to Leave UK Waters

Royal Navy ships have been deployed in response to the incident, which was described as a "foolish game" by a spokesperson for the government of Gibraltar, a British overseas territory. The incident comes amid UK-Spanish tensions over Gibraltar which have reached a fever-pitch as the 29 March date for Brexit approaches.

When asked about Sunday's incident involving a Spanish warship in Gibraltar waters, British Defence Minister Gavin Williamson pledged on Monday that the UK "will always be there to defend our sovereign interests and defend Britain's national interests".

The crew of a Spanish warship ordered commercial vessels to leave Gibraltar waters, a spokesman for the government of the UK overseas territory said on Sunday, accusing the Spanish ship of trying to take "executive action" against the commercial vessels.

Russia warns NATO against expanding presence in Black Sea

Russia has warned the US-led NATO alliance over a recent decision to beef up military presence in the Black Sea, saying such a move would further increase tensions in the volatile region.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on Friday that the decision by the Western military alliance to strengthen its position in the sea “is not a surprise” for Moscow.

“We are talking about the strengthening of military and maritime forces of NATO member states, first and foremost, Romania and Bulgaria, plus non-coastal states entering the Black Sea more often,” he said.

"It is our understanding that this activity aggravates the situation in the sphere of security,” Grushko added.

Hate Fest In Warsaw

Warsaw, Poland is not a fun place to visit in darkest February, but that is where the US just staged an anti-Iranian jamboree of 60 client states that brought derision and scorn from Europeans and much of the Mideast.

The point of this cynical exercise was to lay the diplomatic groundwork for an anti-Iranian coalition to act as a fig-leaf for an upcoming attack on Iran planned by President Donald Trump and his close ally, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu.

The real question is who is calling the shots in bleak Warsaw, Trump or Bibi Netanyahu? It seems to many that the Israeli tail is again wagging the American dog.

MSC-2019: With Western Elites in Disarray, Russia’s Opinion Gets More Attention

At this year’s Munich Security Conference the US has failed to push its European allies towards further confrontation with Moscow, while Russia has played a constructive role at the event by continuing a dialogue with its partners.

US-backed fighters in Syria are poised to capture ISIS's last, tiny enclave on the Euphrates, bringing its self-declared caliphate to the brink of total defeat.

Now Trump wants European countries to help out in putting them in jail through their respective justice systems.

US VP Pence Demands EU Recognize Guaido as Venezuela President

Venezuelan congressional chief and self-appointed interim president, Juan Guaido, must be acknowledged as such by the European Union, according to the US vice president.

US Vice President Mike Pence, speaking on Saturday at the Munich Security Conference, declared that the EU must recognize Guaido as the official — although temporary — leader of the beleaguered South American nation, until a new official presidential election can be held, according to Reuters.

Hungary Schools Pompeo Over 'Huge Hypocrisy' on Russia: 'We're Sick and Tired

The top Hungarian diplomat's remarks came during his joint press conference with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who, in particular, warned Hungary not to let Russian President Vladimir Putin "drive wedges between friends" in NATO.

Speaking at a joint news conference with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Budapest on Monday, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto specifically pointed out what he described as Western countries' hypocritical stance toward Moscow.

"As for Russia – and I have told the State Secretary about this – there is enormous hypocrisy and political correctness in the European political arena," Szijjarto said.

READ MORE: Hungary Refuses to Dance to US Tune, Step Up Pressure on Russia — Reports

He recalled that neither Hungarian nor central European energy companies are partnering with the Russian corporation Gazprom in the Nord Stream 2 project.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I didn't see any coverage of this story in the US papers, if they were, in fact, reporting on Pompeo's trips to both Budapest and Warsaw, which both appeared to have come off the flipping rails, and combusted, then imploded, then fell into the swamp!

Apparently, his and Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu's anti-Iran twitter rant did not win Pompeo any bouquets in Warsaw;

Ahead of Peace meeting in Warsaw, Netanyahu threatens war with Iran. and him prattling on about Hungary's not being a great "Western NATO Partner" against Russia, did not earn him anything positive in Budapest, either.

In the Biblical book of Isaiah, there is a phrase: Isaiah 1:18 King James Version (KJV) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord".

Right now, to the international community, Mike Pompeo is behaving like some kind of bad-dream, Neocon-leftover clown whose only answer to everything which annoys the US, is, of course, more wars.

His polar opposite, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov is always the responsible, peace-seeking, reason-seeking adult in the room, and conducts himself with intelligence, clarity, and dignity.

Would that the US government had someone like this, carefully negotiating and listening, not blustering, seeking consensus, not further dividing, and asking, politely, for a specific outcome, rather than demanding it.

I am afraid that the only thing which would bring this about, would most probably be, a complete, utter, military loss of this country to several others, who collectively vow that the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika will never be allowed to create a carnage as intense as this war creates.

Hungary tells UK Jewish group to 'mind its own business' over antisemitism

A Hungarian government minister has accused a senior representative of British Jews of politically-motivated lying, telling her to “mind your own business” following a meeting in which she raised concerns about antisemitism.

The secretary of state, Vince Szalay-Bobrovniczky, wrote to Marie van der Zyl, the president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, this week to take issue with the board’s account of a meeting between the pair.

The board said the meeting, which took place on 8 February, was “an important opportunity to raise a number of the [BOD’s] long-standing concerns directly with the Hungarian government, including the use of antisemitic tropes and … moves to downplay the role of historical Hungarian leaders in supporting the Holocaust.”

Other issues raised by the board included the Hungarian government’s attitude to Muslims and migrants, and relations between it and Jewish communities in the country.

Where A No-Deal Brexit Would Hit Hardest

In recent weeks, the chances of a dreaded no-deal Brexit occurring have increased exponentially ahead of the deadline on March 29th.

A new study has looked into that scenario's potential impact on jobs across the world. Statista's Niall McCarthy notes that the analysis was carried out by the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH), focusing on 56 industrial sectors across 43 countries while assuming a 25 percent drop in EU exports to the UK in the event of a hard Brexit.

It found that Germany could lose the most jobs with around 103,000 threatened if the UK crashes out of the EU with no deal.

Sweden’s minister compared Hungary’s new family assistance measures to Nazism

Sweden’s minister for social affairs compared Hungary’s new family assistance measures to Nazism. Foreign Minister Szijjarto hit back by criticising the Scandinavian country’s migration policy.

In a tweet, Annika Strandhall, the Swedish minister for social affairs, said that Hungary’s “alarming” policies were“reeking with the 1930’s”. She suggested the Hungarian prime minister, who seeks to promote the birth of “more true Hungarian” babies was a “right-wing populist trying to obscure the consequences of those policies to the independence women have earned”.

As Hungarian daily Magyar Hirlap reported, Strandhall approvingly shared an article by Aftonbladet. Another Swedish outlet, Sydsvenskan, also published an article with similar opinions. According to journalist Sofia Nerbrand, the pro-family action plan is offensive to women and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban should be ashamed after saying that he wants more Hungarian children instead of immigrants.

German Ex-Air Force General: 'US Betrayed European Security'

A former head of NATO’s Military Committee has slammed the US move against the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) as “extremely dangerous” for Europe. This comes after Washington had suspended its obligations under the agreement that ended the arms race between the East and West back in the 1980s.

Former head of the NATO Military Committee and retired Air Force general Harald Kujat has sharply criticised the US for terminating the INF Treaty calling the move “a betrayal of the security of the European allies" in an interview with the Bavarian broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk.

According to the retired commander, the withdrawal from the treaty that ended the nuclear arms race back in 1987 means that the US is saying goodbye to responsibilities to its European allies. This move could be extremely dangerous for Europe, Kujat stated.

May’s Dutch ‘Ally’: ‘Weak’ UK ‘Too Small’ to Be World Player After Brexit

The Netherlands’ Prime Minister Mark Rutte has said that the UK is “too small” to be a world player after Brexit.

Prime Minister Rutte, often sold as Prime Minister Theresa May’s ‘closest ally’ out of all European leaders, made the comments in an interview with Spanish newspaper El País on Wednesday and claimed the UK was on a “precipice” of a “devastating” no-deal Brexit.

Asked whether he thought the European Union would be “weakened” by the United Kingdom’s exit, Mr Rutte replied, “It is the United Kingdom that will be weakened by Brexit.

“It is already weakening,” the establishment centre-right politician continued, “it is a waning country compared to two or three years ago.

“It is going to become an economy of intermediate size somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. It is neither the U.S. nor the EU.

“It is too small to appear on the world stage on its own.”

PENCE SAYS EU MUST WITHDRAW FROM IRAN DEAL & STOP TRYING TO ‘BREAK UP’ SANCTIONS ON ‘VILE REGIME’

US Vice-President Mike Pence has demanded that Europe withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal and lashed out at the EU’s efforts to evade Washington’s sanctions on Tehran.

Speaking at a security conference in Warsaw, Pence chastised Europe for leading an “effort to create mechanisms to break up our sanctions” against Iran, and complained that European countries had not been “cooperative” since the Trump administration withdrew from the Iran deal last year.

“The time has come for our European partners to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal” and join with the US to give the Iranian people and the world “peace, security and freedom,” he said.

Pence said the EU’s newly created Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), conceived as a way to continue facilitating trade between the EU and Iran, was an “ill-advised step” which would only “strengthen Iran, weaken the EU, and create still more distance between Europe and the United States.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, Vice-President Pence is absolutely tone-deaf to how he is coming across to European heads of state, with such unhinged, and uncharacteristically hubristic threats against US European allies.

The countries in Europe want to make money, and need Iran's oil to do so.

So, what are he and President Trump going to do, if they don't get their way?!? Bomb Europe?!? Bomb Iran?!?

This meeting in Poland, was doomed to be an epic fail even before it began; Iran's president, Hassan Rouhani, was absolutely correct in his prediction of this happening precisely the way he said it would.

And President Trump, it is very unfortunate ... that your only understanding of both Iran's history, and future trajectory, comes exclusively from the Butcher of Gaza, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu.

And I have a video you should absolutely see, before you decide on how hard you are going to militarily shatter this country, because your economic sanctions are going utterly nowhere, as evidenced by the Polish meeting in Warsaw: Don't Tell Mother I'm In Iran

This little trip, done by a very charming Jewish videographer, was to see just how the Jewish community was faring in Iran, and the good news is that the resounding answer was, "Quite Well!" He was shown a beautiful synagogue, and the Majlis Building (their Parliament), where minority religions are guaranteed a seat at the national table, which includes Christians, Jews, and the Bahai.

Mr. President, Netanyahu could fly to Tehran, and make peace within a day's worth of work; but he absolutely will not, as his "vision" of Iran is just as flawed as is humanly possible. It's about controlling the oil and regime change here, to create something more to Israel's and the US's liking.

But Mr. President, there is a reality that you and Netanyahu are going to have to face; this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution. People are living better than they ever did under the Shah, and feel they have a future, both as individuals, and as a nation.

You were utterly mistaken that Europe would just collectively" drop dead", in its dealings with Iran, and this "conference" was proof positive that they wouldn't.

I think it is high time for you and Prime Minister Netanyahu to collectively dust off that word neither of you like to hear or use frequently, and that word is...(drum roll, please....) NEGOTIATIONS. Because if the threats and sanctions are not working, because they are totally unrealistic for our European allies, what else do you have to fall back on; an invasion, which will almost surely bring Russia to Iran's defense?!?

EU Ignoring Mideast Summit Shows Brussels Anger Over US Stance on Iran – Report

The two-day gathering, which kicked off in Warsaw on Wednesday, was announced last month by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who described it as a platform for focusing on the "important element of making sure that Iran is not a destabilising influence".

The anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union in light of the situation in the Kerch Strait are being taken under Washington’s powerful pressure, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday, commenting on reports of possible new sanctions of the EU and the US against Russia.

Why Europe can’t cope

The European Union is ill-equipped to deal with big political questions. Its default modus operandi pushes back against serious problems by rigidly asserting its own internal doctrines and hierarchies, and by expressing its commitment to a rules-based international order. This approach is peculiarly unsuited to the troubles at hand.

Right now, the EU confronts an awkward trilemma. It must decide whether to risk the economic shock of Brexit without a transition, and it must do so while the spectre of recession hangs over the Eurozone’s three largest economies, and as the French and German governments seek to maintain a united front with Britain to combat US sanctions on Iran.

The 2019 Franco-Italian war

France withdrew its ambassador to Rome last week and, pointedly, reminded the world that this was the first time this had happened since Benito Mussolini declared war on France in 1940. It was also the first time since the creation of the EEC/EU in 1958 that one member state had withdrawn its ambassador to another.

There have been a series of jibes, insults and accusations hurled across the Alps in recent months. Most have come from the populist coalition government in Italy and its Number Two – really its de facto number one – Matteo Salvini, leader of the hard-Right Liga party. He accused the French, inter alia, of exploiting their ex-colonies in Africa and stealing their gold or dollar reserves to finance France’s debt. This is the kind of lie-by-exaggeration that Donald Trump might be proud of.

On Tuesday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the bloc was getting prepared for a potential cessation of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, but it didn't want a new arms race and did not plan to deploy new ground-based missiles in Europe.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is speaking at a press conference in Brussels during the first day of the meeting between the defence ministers of the NATO member states.

The event comes after earlier in February, the United States said it was suspending its obligations under the INF Treaty starting from 2 February and would begin the withdrawal process, which would be completed within six months unless Moscow remedied its alleged violations of the bilateral arms control deal.

Russian President Vladimir Putin later announced that Moscow was also suspending its obligations under the treaty in response to the US move.

US Wants Poland to Loosen Ties With China, Iran in Exchange for Bases - Reports

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Budapest on Monday, kicking off a multi-leg tour of Central Europe in a bid to cement US partnerships in the region against other major powers, including Russia and China.

Washington is preparing to offer Warsaw an increased US military presence in Poland in exchange for a Polish refusal to engage in closer cooperation with China and Iran, Rzeczpospolita reported, citing diplomatic sources.

"The situation is very dynamic. At the moment, the Americans are improving their offer qualitatively. Its essence is that no one in the world should have any doubts about America's unconditional involvement in the defence of Poland," one high-ranking diplomatic source told the newspaper.

George Soros Panics: Right-Wing Parties Rising All Over Europe Will Lead to 'Oblivion'

Billionaire globalist George Soros, who helped fund the migrant invasion of Europe to the tune of some $500 million, is now panicking over the rise of right-wing parties throughout the EU.

Rather than take responsibility for his actions, apologize to the people of Europe and start a fund to deport all the migrants he paid to bring in, he has instead chosen to fearmonger that the end is nigh if Europeans actually start voting in their own self-interest.

Stop ACTA 2: Protests, Internet Blackouts and Hacktivist Actions To Lead Up To Final Vote On Dystopian Articles 11 and 13 In EU

By Aaron Kesel

After a short delay, European Union lawmakers are continuing their journey to censor the Internet and have agreed on changes to the text of Articles 11,12 and 13, The Independent reported. Meanwhile, Anonymous and Pirates are planning on-the-ground and online actions against the proposed Copyright Directives.

Germany and France agreed on a horrendous “compromise” version of Article 13 following heated debated, which claims to protect small businesses. However, in the fine print of the law, it almost protects no website as Julia Reda points out...

US, EU To Slap New Sanctions On Russia

It's been at least a few months since the US or western nations unveiled some new, broad sanctions targeting Russia, and with the Mueller "collusion" report due any minute, it's time for Trump to once again remind the audience of the biggest ever soap opera, that he is not a BFF with Vladimir Putin. As such, the FT reports that the US and EU are close to agreeing a raft of new sanctions against Russia, this time in a co-ordinated push aimed at punishing Moscow for its "aggression" towards Ukraine in the Kerch strait.

Suddenly Europe Is An Open Question - "A Nazi EU?"

An establishment pillar of the European ‘order’ – the Frankfurter Allgemeiner newspaper – explicitly touches the ‘live rail’, which is to say, it ran an op-ed last month titled ‘A Nazi EU?’, speculating on whether or not the present EU, dominated by Germany, should be understood as a lineal extension of German National Socialism.

Pompeo Says U.S. To Be More Engaged In East Europe, Warns Russia Trying To Divide West

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the United States must be more engaged in Central and Eastern Europe as Russia tries to divide the West.

On the first day of a five-country European tour that will focus on opposition to the growing influence of Russia and China in Central Europe, Pompeo met with Hungary's right-wing populist prime minister, Viktor Orban, on February 11 to stress the importance of promoting democracy and the rule of law.

Washington sees those issues as key to countering Russian and Chinese moves to sow discord in the European Union and NATO.

"We must not let Putin drive wedges between friends in NATO," Pompeo told a joint news conference in Budapest with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

Have 4 Babies, Pay No Income Tax FOR LIFE! - Hungarian PM Viktor Orban

“It is about our future. It means if we will last as Hungarians, as Hungary or cease to exist. Many Western states, choose [migration] as a solution, in Hungary, we think that that should not be a solution for the demographic challenges." - Katalina Novak, Hungary’s state secretary for families

Hungary Shows the West the Path to Survival

A specter is haunting the European Union—the specter of Eastern Europe. Hungary is a country slightly more populous than Virginia, and its population diminishes slightly every year. It receives substantial subsidies from richer EU countries, produces nice wines, but has little industry not tied to German auto plants. Its military has roughly zero external intervention capability.

And yet in Europe, Hungary is always in the headlines. The glossy French center-right weekly Le Point warns with alarm that Hungary’s president Viktor Orbán “outlines the shape of another Europe.” A few months ago, the European Parliament subjected Orbán’s government to a sort of trial under “Article 7,” a process that could lead to Hungary being denied its parliamentary voting rights. Le Point (again) speaks ominously of a menacing “axis” between Poland, Hungary, and the new populist government of Italy.

‘Furious’ Apple quits Stockholm after city rejects ambitious flagship store

Tech giant Apple is severing its ties with the Swedish capital, after reportedly flying into a rage over the Stockholm City Council vetoing its plan to build a store at a popular historic park.

The new center-right coalition in city council decided to scrap initial plans to build a giant glass and stone store at Kungsträdgården park. The building currently occupied by a restaurant was purchased by Apple a few years ago for 129mn Swedish kronor (US$13.9mn) after the previous city government approved the project.

Apple was reportedly infuriated by the decision, as the company had already made several revisions to the project to better fit the historic location.

Delingpole: PM May and Her ‘Snake-Like Civil Servants’ Deliberately Sabotaged Free Trade Brexit

Theresa May and her Remainer civil servants secretly sabotaged an offer made by the EU Council President Donald Tusk of a free trade deal exit from the EU because all they ever really wanted was Brexit In Name Only.

Of the many things I’ve heard about the Establishment’s outrageous scheming to scupper Brexit this is by far the most damning – and it deserves much wider coverage.

It was Martin Durkin (director of Brexit: the Movie) who drew my attention to it.

Euroskeptics aim to paralyze EU and they love Russia! – Think tank creates alarm ahead of EU polls

With the approach of the May elections to the EU Parliament, a pro-EU think tank has sounded an alarm over the burgeoning Euroskeptics, expected to take some 30 percent of seats. Naturally, Russia "highly likely" has a hand in it.

The alarmist report is published by The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) – a pro-EU non-profit think tank. The ECFR was established in 2007 and relies primarily on "donations" from various organizations – including such purveyors of a globalist agenda as George Soros' Open Society Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

'Enormous hypocrisy': Hungary blasts US' warnings on the dangers of dealing with Russia or China

US State Secretary Mike Pompeo's quest to scare Hungary away from dealing with Russia and China appears to have turned sour, as Budapest said it's fed up with lectures about its foreign policy.

Pompeo is on a five-day massive charm offensive in Eastern Europe seeking to "make up" for the time the US "shunned" the nations of the region "in a way that drove them to fill a vacuum with folks who didn't share our values," as he himself put it.

PC BS (British Style) : Woman Arrested for Calling A Trans Woman A Man

A British woman was arrested in front of her children and held in police custody for 7 hours after calling a transgender woman a man online. -- Kate Scottow was detained following an argument on Twitter with a transgendered woman. She was charged with “harassment and malicious communications.” -- Presently, this could never happen in the US, although I'm sure that trans activists would love to lock up those who don't agree with them. Given the attitudes toward the First Amendment by many millenials, it's probably only a matter of time before the activists get their wish.

Salvini Calls For Elimination Of Italy's Central Bank, "Prison Time For Fraudsters"

On Friday, in a moment of predictive insight, Bank of America correctly warned that the greatest threat to EPS - i.e., markets - in the next 3 years "is an acceleration of global populism via taxation, regulation & government intervention." Just one day later, this warning to the financial establishment was starkly manifest in that ground zero for Europe's populist revolt, Italy, where the country's coalition government hinted at where the global populist wave is headed next when he slammed the country’s central bank leadership and stock market regulator, escalating its attacks on establishment figures ahead of the European parliamentary vote in May.

EXCLUSIVE – Hungary Blames Brussels for Brexit, Will Do ‘Huge Harm’ to EU

Hungarian foreign minister Péter Szijjártó has revealed that his government blames the European Union for the British people’s vote for Brexit in 2016, and admitted it will inflict a huge blow to the bloc in economic and security terms, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News.
“We regret it a lot, the decision of the British people [to vote for Brexit],” the Hungarian statesman told Breitbart’s Deputy Political Editor Amanda House.

“We never judged it, we never criticised; we respected it — because it’s only the British people who are having the right to make a decision about the future of their own country — but we regret it because, with the UK leaving, Europe will be faced with additional economic and political challenges which are totally, let’s say unnecessary,” Szijjártó added.

Orbán announces major family protection package for Hungary

Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced a seven-point family protection action plan in his state-of-the nation address in Budapest.

“This is Hungary’s answer to challenges, rather than immigration”, the prime minister said.

Orban called Brussels “the citadel of new internationalism” and immigration as “the instrument of this internationalism”. He said there are once again forces that want to see open societies and a world without nations, “fabricate” a supranational global government and are still controlled from abroad.
