US ready to take risk of war with Iran for Israeli regime's sake: Biden

As the White House tries to mend fences with the Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who is upset about nuclear talks with Iran, Vice President Joe Biden says the US is ready to risk a military confrontation in support of the Israeli regime.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay, Joe, if you really feel that way about it... Here's your rifle. Here's your parachute. We ran out of the desert camo but here's a bright da-glo orange jumpsuit from the CIA's torture centers. Watch your head climbing into that transport aircraft, and we will call Tehran and tell them you are on your way to kick their butts all by yourself.

But We The People remember the lies about stolen incubators that tricked us into the first invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember the lies about Saddam's nuclear weapons that tricked us into the second invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember how only a year ago you tried to trick us into war with Syria with more lies about poison gas.

We The People remember how there weren't really torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin or a Spanish mine in Havana Harbor, but how there really WERE weapons on board the Lusitania.

In short, We The People remember all the lies, frauds, and deceptions used to trick us into wars of conquest, to send our young people out to die in wars created out of thin air by and for the money-junkies. I think it is time that we have a new rule in America; that those who want war are the first to the front lines. You are all splendidly brave with the lives of other peoples' children. Let's see the true measure of your courage and commitment to war.

You first!

And just to keep you honest, please recall that Iran has not initiated a war of conquest against another nation in over 200 years; a sharp contrast to the US and Israel, which these days cannot seem to go two months without invading, drone-striking, or overthrowing someone else's nation!

U.S. Navy escorting American ships in Strait of Hormuz amid Iran tension

A Senior Defense Department official confirms to CBS News that U.S. Naval forces have begun accompanying American-flagged maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

The move is in response to what Washington views as provocative Iranian behavior in the Persian Gulf. Earlier this week Iranian naval vessels reportedly fired warning shots near Maersk Tigris, a Marshall Islands-flagged cargo ship, and detained it and its crew. Iranian officials say the Maersk shipping line owes it money.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So all Israel needs to do is sneak one of their submarines into Iranian waters and fire a shot at one of the US ships (the way Israel attacked USS Liberty) and blame Iran for it (the way Israel initially blamed Egypt for the USS Liberty attack).

Inching Toward Conflict: US Navy To Escort Cargo Ships In Persian Gulf; Iran Refuses To Back Down

Moments ago there was yet another step up in the Persian Gulf naval escalation when CNN reported that the U.S. Navy will escort U.S.-flagged cargo ships through Strait of Hormuz in wake of Iran seizure this week, a US official says. Specifically, the Navy will henceforth accompany ships on concern that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard may seize them, CNN’s Jim Sciutto says in Twitter post, citing CNN’s Barbara Starr. It is unclear what happens if either the accompanied cargo ship, or the US Navy warship leaves international waters, and enters Iran territory, which as the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is virtually assured: a strait which as the following US Naval update map has become as busy for US traffic as the 405 Freeway during rush hour.

Poison pill: Rubio floats amendment to Corker’s Iran bill requiring Iran to recognize Israel’s right to exist

Is there any strategy behind this apart from generating a nice pro-Israel credential for Rubio’s resume that he can show off to GOP primary voters this summer? What I mean is, is there any chance that this somehow improves — or kills — the final deal between the U.S. and Iran or at least puts Obama and the Democrats in a verrrry tough spot in defending it?

Russia impinges on Israel's right to bomb Iran

American neocons are in a lather over Russia’s decision to go ahead with the sale of anti-aircraft missiles to Iran. The apparent outrage is that Iran thinks it has a right to protect its citizens from Israel’s right to launch airstrikes into Iran’s territory, as ex-CIA analyst Ray McGovern explains.

Rubio Amendment Set to Kill Iran Nuclear Deal

While the Senate’s upcoming Iran bill, aiming to give Congress veto power over any pact negotiated by the P5+1, already put the deal in serious jeopardy, a new amendment to it proposed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R – FL) seems to be the silver bullet that will kill any chance of the deal.

The Rubio Amendment would require that any nuclear deal with Iran include an explicit public endorsement from Iran of Israel’s status as a “Jewish state.”

Saudi-led coalition bombs Yemen airport to prevent Iranian plane from landing

Jets of a Saudi Arabian-led coalition bombed Sanaa airport on Tuesday to prevent an Iranian plane from landing in the war-torn country, Yemeni officials and Iranian state media reported.

A runway, a civilian aircraft and part of a terminal building at Sanaa international airport were destroyed after being struck by missiles.

The attack forced two Iranian planes that had flown into Yemen over neighboring Oman to turn back, according to a Yemeni official.

"The planes were carrying medical aid and entered Yemeni airspace this morning," the official told Middle East Eye via Skype.

Splitting Iraq: US Military Bill Would Redefine Kurds, Sunni Militias as Separate Country

In an attempt to limit the prospects for overseas meddling, US law requires foreign military aid to be delivered direct to host countries, as opposed to just any old armed faction the US wants to throw weapons at.

That might seem like a straightforward rule, but House Republicans are seeing a pretty straightforward way to circumvent it, announcing their intention to declare Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as some Iraqi Sunni Arab militias, as “countries” of their own for the sake of aid shipments.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This makes those smaller countries easier to "manage" which has been on both the US agenda for Iraq and Iran all along.

Saudis have been helped by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who has relied on the powerful Israel Lobby and his own rhetoric to divert the U.S. Congress from a focus on Al-Qaeda and its hyper-brutal spinoff, the Islamic State, to Iran, which both Saudi Arabia and Israel have designated their primary regional enemy.

Fearful of further offending the powerful Saudi-Israeli alliance, President Obama is deploying the U.S. Navy to seal off poverty-stricken Yemen so the Saudi air force has free rein to pummel its regional rivals from the air while the population faces a humanitarian crisis on the ground, reports Robert Parry.

Iran seizes commercial ship, U.S. forces respond

The ship, a Marshall Islands flagged vessel, was transiting the Strait into the Persian Gulf on an internationally recognized maritime route when the the Iranian military contacted the vessel and directed the ship master to "divert further into Iranian Waters," according to Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This stinks of a deliberate provocation to derail the P5+1.

The above is the tracking map for the vessel, M/V Maersk Tigris. The little squiggle is where it was intercepted by the Iranian patrol boat.

Click for larger image

This is the same tracking map, but with the shipping channels and Iranian territorial waters overlaid. From this it is obvious that the M/V Maersk Tigris was following the normal shipping route, but then did indeed alter course to starboard and into Iranian territorial waters. The only question is why? The tracking system indicates accurate GPS data was being received by the ship, so spoofing is out. There are no geographic features justifying a turn to starboard. Was the Captain of the M/V Maersk Tigris "persuaded" by the US Government to trigger a confrontation?

Reports claim Iran 'seized' US cargo ship, Pentagon says it's Marshall Islands-flagged

The Iranian Navy has reportedly seized a US ship with 34 crew members on board, for violating Iran's waters in the Persian Gulf. The Pentagon denies the vessel belongs to the US, claiming it is registered in the Marshall Islands.

A Pentagon spokesman has confirmed that Iranian forces boarded the Marshall Island-flagged Maersk Tigris vessel after patrol boats fired warning shots across its bow and ordered it deeper into Iranian waters, Reuters reports.

The vessel initially ignored the warning but complied after the shots were fired, U.S. Army Colonel Steve Warren said.

Operation Opera II - Israeli Attack on Iran

The worse kept secret is the joint plans of Israel and their American stooges for a sneak attack on Iran. Succumbing to the militaristic legacy of imperial Japan, the joint chiefs of staff are ready to facilitate or even lead a stealth charge against purported WMD targets. So what is their rationale? Since the deadly weapon facilities could not be found in Iraq, maybe they will be found in Iran? If Iran was ready to develop nuclear weapons, how is that any different from Israel already deploying 200 plus warheads? Another Idiotic Plan to Hurt Russia

So, is this the plan, to provide “energy security” to Europe by replacing Russian gas with Iranian gas?

It sure looks like it. But that suggests that the sanctions really had nothing to do with Iran’s fictitious nuclear weapons program but were merely used to humiliate Iran while keeping as much of its oil and gas offline until western-backed multinationals could get their greasy mitts on it.

Indeed, that’s exactly how the sanctions were used even though the nuclear issue was a transparent fake from the get go. Get a load of this from the New York Times:

“Recent assessments by American spy agencies are broadly consistent with a 2007 intelligence finding that concluded that Iran had abandoned its nuclear weapons program years earlier, according to current and former American officials. The officials said that assessment was largely reaffirmed in a 2010 National Intelligence Estimate, and that it remains the consensus view of America’s 16 intelligence agencies.” (U.S. Agencies See No Move by Iran to Build a Bomb, James Risen, New York Times, February 24, 2012)

Mexicans well remember the mass killing of 43 Ayotzinapa students of last September, unarmed students of a college that caters to the rural poor, who were protesting the government’s education reform which would make school unaffordable for the poor. UK election: What the parties say about Palestine

“Law” and “justice” are words that seldom if ever pass the lips of our politicians when discussing the ‘Palestine Question’ — or shouldn’t that be properly called the ‘Israel Question’? In the UK there is still no rush, it seems, to deliver law or justice to the situation after 100 years of betrayal.

Britain’s ferocious warmongering in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, and efforts to destabilize Syria, caused havoc in those countries and earned us a reputation for human misery making. This week our misbegotten chickens came home to roost in an unbearably distressing way as desperate refugee-migrants drowned at sea hundreds at a time.

Galeano Died — Revolution Goes On!

In Latin America, Eduardo Galeano was revered as a giant of letters, as a symbol of rebellion, of revolution, and of the fight for justice.

“Utopia is on the horizon,” Galeano once wrote. “I move two steps closer; it moves two steps further away. I walk another ten steps and the horizon runs ten steps further away. As much as I may walk, I’ll never reach it. So what’s the point of utopia? The point is this: to keep walking.”

Galeano told me that he was in love with two ladies, both splendid, both fragile, both tremendously desirable. One was called Utopia, the other, Reality.

Both are dangerous to the masters of the world, to Empire, because one gathers dreams, including dreams for a better world, while the other one bravely tells the truth.

Will Washington Kill Us All? — Paul Craig Roberts

The demonization of Russia and its leader by the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, Fox News, and the rest of the American Propaganda Ministry, by almost the entirety of the House and Senate, and by the White House makes reducing the threat of nuclear war impossible.

How much confidence do you have in Washington? How many times has Washington–especially the crazed neocons–been wrong?

Did you know that Washington keeps 450 nuclear ICBMs on “hair-trigger alert”? Washington thinks that this makes us “safe.” The reasoning, if it can be called reason, is that by being able to launch in a few minutes, no one will try to attack the US with nuclear weapons. US missiles are able to get on their way before the enemy’s missiles can reach the US to destroy ours.

If this makes you feel safe, you need to read Eric Schlosser’s book, Command and Control.

Israeli Air Force Chief Confident He Can ‘Get Job Done’ Attacking Iran

Last week’s announcement by the Russian government that they are cancelling a ban on selling S-300 defensive missiles to Iran seems to be sparking a flurry of comments from US and Israeli officials insisting they can attack Iran whenever they want, with or without the S-300.

Yesterday it was President Obama, but today was Israeli Air Force commander Major General Amir Eshel’s turn, insisting he is confident he can “get the job done” if ordered to attack Iran.

Eshel confirmed the S-300 is a “very sophisticated system,” but said he had no doubts that Israel, which had invested “immense resources” in preparing to attack Iran, could get around it in a strike.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is extremely regrettable that Israel has invested "...immense resources into preparing to attack Iran...", rather than investing those resources in figuring out how to live with an Iran using nuclear energy for power.

I would like to politely suggest to Major General Eshel that an attack against Iran would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly wrong move the Israeli government and military could make right now, just as the technical framework for a nuclear deal has been established, and the P5+1 is working to agree on the technical ramifications of how this agreement is going to work.

I would like to suggest that the US government may well decide NOT to participate against such a strike, as Obama has committed himself to the potential success of such a deal, but Russia may very well, ultimately, join the fray on the side of Iran.

Hezbollah could attack Israel from the North, and the potential for Israeli casualties is far greater than the MOD will ever state.

Oh, and one last thing, Major General Eshel; by bombing Iran, you will also be bombing one of the oldest, continually practicing Jewish communities in the world, which have chosen to stay in their homeland, Iran, rather than immigrate to Israel.

How you, and the other war-hawks in Israel consider your Jewish brothers and sisters here as merely "collateral damage" in such a potential strike, just confounds me to the depth of my soul.

US INTELLIGENCE: HOUTHIS ARE NOT IRAN PROXY

“It remains our assessment that Iran does not exert command and control over the Houthis in Yemen,” Bernadette Meehan, a spokeswoman for the National Security Council, told The Huffington Post.

Instead of rescuing US citizens trapped in Yemen, the US has been rescuing Saudi bombers, refueling Saudi bombers, directing Saudi bomb-attacks from within and outside of Saudi Arabia, and re-arming Saudi Arabia with bombs and ammunition – all openly announced by US officials in public statements. Such behavior is standard operating procedure and unsurprising to people who seriously follow US actions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if the Americans have been left stranded to provide more bloody shirts to wave in an attempt to get the American people on board with a US ground invasion of Yemen (as though that has not already most probably begun).

Iranian Warships Arrive Near Yemen

A fleet of Iranian warships arrived near the southern coast of Yemen on Wednesday in a move likely to add greater tension in a developing U.S.-Iranian standoff in the region, according Iranian military leaders.

Just days after the United States announced it would send its own warships to Yemen in order to prevent Iran from smuggling weapons to terror forces fighting there, a flotilla of Iranian destroyers docked in the same area.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yes, I can see the warships featured in the image on the left hand side of the article, and the date of the photo is 7 April.

But are these the same ships which have actually arrived near Yemen, or are they actually cargo ships, bringing humanitarian aid which we are NOT seeing in this image, and were these warships actually going to somewhere else rather than to Yemen?!?

The Iranian military and civilian leadership may be many things, but stupid is definitely not one of them.

I seriously doubt that they are out for a confrontation of either American or Saudi forces; that does not mean, however, that the US and Saudi governments are not salivating at the possibility of ginning up a false flag to be blamed on Iran, and throw the region, and the world, into further turmoil.

However, according to the minister, neither Moscow, nor Tehran need a Russian-Iranian military alliance.
"We have received no [such] proposals from the Iranian side. This is unrealistic and unnecessary," Lavrov said.
According to him, Russia, Iran, as well as India and China are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). "SCO members and observers actively interact within the framework of this antiterrorist structure, at regular military exercises, which are primarily of antiterrorist nature or are aimed at emergency response preparation," said the Russian foreign minister. "This is quite enough for promoting these ideas," Lavrov said. "As for the attitude towards Russia in Iran, I think the people fairly assess our interaction."

In the meeting held on the sidelines of the 60th Asia-Africa Summit Meeting in Indonesia the two sides in addition to reviewing bilateral relations exchanged views on most important regional and international issues.

President Rouhani and Prime Minister Abe both agreed that further expansion of Tehran-Tokyo comprehensive relations and cooperation under the current conditions was a must.

Iranian airline buys Boeing 757

In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he said this is the first Boeing 757 aircraft which joins the commercial fleet of the country and the second Boeing will be added to the Taban Air fleet by next month.

SAUDIS DECLARE END OF ONE YEMEN OPERATION, THEN ANNOUNCE A SECOND

Iranian officials began Tuesday hopeful a ceasefire would bring an end to the relentless air campaign Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies have conducted in Yemen for nearly a month now. In the following hours Saudi Arabia announced on television that Operation Decisive Storm was over, that “all the goals had been met” and declared the beginning of a new operation: “Restoring Hope.” In its statement, the kingdom said the new operation would have more of a political focus, would spend time dealing with helping civilians and counter terrorism.

Nuke Deal Fallout: Iran Becomes Major Battleground for Arms Deals

With the framework for an agreement to lift international sanctions against Iran finally in place, Tehran is poised to become a battleground for international arms sales, which has neighboring Arab countries watching closely.

Iranian support for Yemen's Houthis goes back years

If the U.S. ships intercept the Iranian convoy, they may find it is carrying humanitarian supplies to Yemen to relieve a populace facing massive shortages, Schenker said. Iran for years has provided humanitarian and military assistance to Shiite militias in Iraq and Lebanon, and in the past it has provided similar assistance to Sunni militias fighting Israel in the Gaza Strip.

"There is the possibility of a humanitarian crisis of immense proportions," he said. "Nobody wants to go into Yemen to do this kind of work. But one thing we've learned over the past few years is that the Iranians always stand by their friends."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I did a Google search for the Iranian "warships" on their way to Yemen and all Google showed were photos of the US warships heading for a confrontation. From this I conclude that the Iranian ships are not warships but cargo ships full of humanitarian aid, but Google doesn't think you need to know that.

US Navy Confirms Aircraft Carrier, Warships To Intercept Iranian Weapons Shipments In Yemeni Waters

The 'proxy' war is escalating very rapidly. As AP reports, Navy officials confirm that the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt is headed to Yemeni waters to intercept an Iranian weapons shipments. Just as we warned 10 days ago, the probability of a major escalation over the latest proxy Middle Eastern civil war escalated substantially when Iran parked two warships off the Yemeni coast.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is only an assumption that the Iranian ships contain weapons. Given that Iran made no effort to conceal the sailing, I would not be surprised to find out it is actually humanitarian aid as 50% of the people of Yemen are now starving due to the US/Saudi war to re-impose US puppet rule. If the US sinks the Iranian ships and nothing but food parcels are seen floating in the wreckage, it will be as huge an embarrassment to the US as when the USS Vincennes shot down the Iranian Airbus.

American MSM Faking Stories Again?

In an article published on Wednesday, Engel said the kidnappers had “put on an elaborate ruse to convince us they were Shiite shabiha militiamen.” According to the Times investigation, NBC knew more than it let on about the kidnappers.

IDF Censor Seeks Possible Phantom Leaker

Haaretz’s managing editor, Aluf Benn, published a series of articles (this is the main one) about an ill-fated Israel-Iran oil venture, the Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline Company (EAPC), that began in 1968 and ended in 1979, just after the Iranian Revolution. The most criticial part of the project was a pipeline running from Eilat to the major Israeli port of Ashdod. The Shah agreed to ship his oil via the pipeline, thus avoiding the Suez Canal, and then transport it, via tankers jointly owned by the venture, to Europe. Israel received approximately $200-million in oil from Iran before the Shah’s regime collapsed and Iran withdrew from the venture.

Kristol frets that he walked into Obama’s ‘trap,’ and Rubio says he’ll demand Iran recognize ‘Israel’s right to exist’

President Obama appears to have won another round in the high-stakes domestic battle that is the Iran deal. The Bob Corker-Ben Cardin bill that passed Senate Foreign Relations the other day giving Congress the ability to review the deal once it’s cut seemed like a victory for opponents of the deal; but by the end of the weeks neoconservatives were scrambling, because they sensed the legislation doesn’t give opponents much power to stop a deal.

Iran urges India, China & Russia to counter NATO missile system

Iran has announced its readiness to cooperate with Russia, China and India on the issue of NATO’s missile shield and related threats from the military bloc, the head of its defense ministry said in Moscow.

“I’d like to support the idea of developing multifaceted defense cooperation between China, Iran, India and Russia to counter NATO eastwards expansion and installing a missile shield in Europe,” Hossein Dehghan said on Thursday, at an international security conference in Moscow.

Hours later Dehghan was cited by RIA Novosti as saying that Russia, China and Iran may hold tri-party defense talks.

“We discussed certain aspects of regional security. It was proposed to hold a trilateral meeting of Russia, Iran and China,” Dehghan said after meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

Conference on the Israel Lobby—Press Blackout at the Press Club

So, where were the reporters of the mainstream media? Where was C-SPAN during a week when Congress was on a holiday and their cameras were not preoccupied by Capitol Hill activities—its foremost priority? Apparently, the American people were only to see and hear the extreme views of AIPAC that do not even command the support of a majority of American Jews who do favor a two-state solution, along with a majority of Arab-Americans.

Organized by the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, which was launched about thirty years ago by a British Army Officer who served in World War II and two retired U.S. Ambassadors to countries in the Middle East (wrmea.org), the day-long program at the prestigious National Press Club should have been intriguing to reporters. After all, are they not interested in important, taboo-challenging presentations on a critical dimension of U.S. foreign and military policy?

Russia’s Missile Wall in Iran

The popular narrative surrounding the conflict between the West and Iran has always been one of a dangerous rogue state bent on obtaining nuclear weapons before triggering a nuclear-fueled Armageddon aimed at Israel. Underneath this elementary propaganda, lies a more complex truth underpinning a proxy conflict between East and West.

WHAT WAS FORGOTTEN ON HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY?

What, exactly, was remembered during Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day this week?

Not the victims of Israel’s latest slaughter in Gaza, where more than 2,200 civilians were killed less than a year ago. In the propagandistic world of “Holocaust memory” only Jews can be victims, so mainstream media marginalize the hundreds of Jewish Holocaust survivors and their descendants who publicly condemned “the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza” (their words). Instead, a leading Israeli newspaper informed us this week that “adult children of Holocaust survivors in Israel tend to be more anxious than their peers … about the Iranian nuclear threat” — even though Iran has no nuclear weapons and has never attacked Israel.

Iranian ship convoy moves toward Yemen, alarming US officials

U.S. military officials are concerned that Iran's support for Houthi rebels in Yemen could spark a confrontation with Saudi Arabia and plunge the region into sectarian war.
Iran is sending an armada of seven to nine ships — some with weapons — toward Yemen in a potential attempt to resupply the Shia Houthi rebels, according to two U.S. defense officials.

What's unusual about the new deployment, which set out this week, is that the Iranians are not trying to conceal it, officials said. Instead, they appear to be trying to "communicate it" to the U.S. and its allies in the Gulf.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Which suggests to me that the convoy is actually food and humanitarian aid.

Did the Senate just blow up the Iran nuclear deal?

Too many cooks spoil the broth, and that appears to be precisely what the Senate had in mind. Not just Israel’s friends in Congress, but the preponderance of the liberal foreign policy establishment worries that Obama has sacrificed urgent national security concerns out of personal ambition or sentiment. Steadfast Obama supporters like the Times’ Thomas Friedman expressed grave reservations, and the elders of the Republican establishment, Henry Kissinger and George Shultz, authored an extraordinary joint statement published April 7 in the Wall Street Journal. 39 Senators and 447 Congressmen signed a letter to the Islamic Republic of Iran warning that a future administration might void the present deal.

Iran has the right to protect itself

On April 13, 2015 Vladimir Putin lifted Russia’s ban on shipping S-300 antiaircraft defensive missile systems to Iran, self-imposed in 2010. Moscow and Tehran originally signed a contract to supply these systems back in 2007. At the time, the idea was to sell a number of Russia-manufactured S-300 divisions to Iran.

Ehud Barak to US: Tell Iran to abandon nuclear aspirations 'or else'

Former Prime Minister Ehud Barak Wednesday urged the United States to present Iranian leaders with a clear choice: abandon your nuclear aspirations "or else."

Tehran suggests new international defensive alliance to counter NATO

The Gazeta.ru online newspaper reports that Iran has proposed forming a defensive alliance with Russia. The initiative was announced during the International Security Conference in Moscow, which was attended by representatives from 70 countries.
Gazeta.ru says that not a single representative from the US or NATO came to Moscow, which obviously had an impact on the event's rhetoric: The participants spoke about the necessity of a joint battle against international terrorism, but also constantly "attacked" Washington.
Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan dedicated his speech to the battle against the Islamic State terrorist group. Touching upon the sensitive issue for Russia of NATO expansion, he suggested creating a "defensive alliance," which, besides Russia and Iran, would also include India and China.

Al Saud regime on verge of collapse: Iran cleric

A senior Iranian cleric says the rule of Al Saud dynasty is on the brink of collapse as the Riyadh regime continues its brutal military aggression against Yemen.

The logic of Saudi attack on Yemen is not clear. Saudis are doing a “very heinous deed” in the impoverished country, said Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhedi Kermani in a sermon to worshippers at weekly Friday Prayers in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

“You [Saudis] have triggered a bloodbath in Yemen and have killed more than 2,500 innocent people in the country,” he added.

Israel’s Nuclear Weapons Program; The Former Soviet Union As America’s New Frontier

Since Hillary Clinton announced without any surprise that she was running for president, it is worth taking a look at her record. As U.S. Secretary of State during the conflict between Russia and Georgia, Clinton claimed that the U.S. was committed to “Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and that the “United States does not recognize spheres of influence.”

In the meantime she was pushing for the military integration of countries from the former Soviet Union with NATO. Rick Rozoff commented at the time: “Despite Clinton’s claim to the contrary, the United States most decidedly recognizes spheres of influence. In its own hemisphere – the entirety of it – in the South Caucasus and everywhere else on the planet.”

Also in the double standard category, Washington is applying sanctions on Iran for its non existent nuclear weapons, even though the Pentagon has “officially” recognized that Israel is a nuclear power.
