Huckabee sends letter calling John Kerry 'offensive and hypocritical' on Israel

When Kerry claimed the Senate letter was “unprecedented” and “wrong,” Huckabee turned the tables on him. “The fact is, your willingness to trust Iran and undermine Israel is what is unprecedented and wrong,” Huckabee stated.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay, Mr. Huckabee, if you really feel that way about it... Here's your rifle. Here's your parachute. We ran out of the desert camo but here's a bright da-glo orange jumpsuit from the CIA's torture centers. Watch your head climbing into that transport aircraft, and we will call Tehran and tell them you are on your way to kick their butts all by yourself.

But We The People remember the lies about stolen incubators that tricked us into the first invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember the lies about Saddam's nuclear weapons that tricked us into the second invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember how only a year ago you tried to trick us into war with Syria with more lies about poison gas.

We The People remember how there weren't really torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin or a Spanish mine in Havana Harbor, but how there really WERE weapons on board the Lusitania.

In short, We The People remember all the lies, frauds, and deceptions used to trick us into wars of conquest, to send our young people out to die in wars created out of thin air by and for the money-junkies. I think it is time that we have a new rule in America; that those who want war are the first to the front lines. You are all splendidly brave with the lives of other peoples' children. Let's see the true measure of your courage and commitment to war.

Bibi and 47 Senators Strike Dark Discordant Note

Newly-elected Senator Cotton and neocon leader Bill Kristol are now doing the work of AIPAC, and their pro-Israel, anti-Iran funders are standing with a foreign leader on a foreign policy issue against their own president.

Whatever the final outcome, AIPAC will be standing by, awaiting its marching orders.

Senate Dems Prepared to Defy Obama, Oppose Iran Deal

Outrage over last week’s letter from Senate Republicans to Iran threatening to dishonor any nuclear deal President Obama reached is beginning to subside, and with it, a new round of comments are coming from Democrats indicating their support for, if not the letter, the sentiment behind it.

Several Democrats are now publicly expressing their support for various resolutions that aim to sabotage the talks, either by imposing new sanctions on Iran in violation of the interim deal, or by seeking a “veto” over the deal that would make it impossible for the US to be a part of the process.

“The letter’s incredibly unfortunate and inappropriate,” insisted Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D – ND), “that doesn't diminish my support for the legislation that we introduced.”

Sen. Bob Corker (R – TN), the author of the “veto” bill, claimed to have 12 Democrats firmly committed to his resolution, and suggested momentum is in favor of getting a veto-proof majority on it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable.

It is very obvious these people have been given their "30 pieces of silver" by both AIPAC and Israel, and are taking the money, and running away from a reasonable deal with Iran.

Did these folks get the memo that Russia has just recently signed a military agreement with Iran?!?

I will guarantee you: an attack against Iran will surely draw Russia into the fray militarily.

And the US military, at this time in its history, doesn't have the money, the manufacturing, or the troop strength to guarantee a positive outcome to a war against Russia; and that is what makes the military option so scarily dangerous.

Report: Netanyahu sought to cancel Mossad briefing for U.S. senators on Iran talks

Netanyahu attempted to cancel a January briefing for U.S. senators by Mossad in which the intelligence agency warned U.S. lawmakers that a new Iran sanctions bill in Congress could derail the negotiations over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, Time Magazine reported in Saturday.

According to the report, which was based on unnamed sources "familiar with the events," Netanyahu stripped the Mossad meeting from the itinerary of a delegation of senators led by the head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee by Tennessee, Republican Bob Corker. After a protesting Corker threatened to cut his trip short and asked Israel's Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer to intervene, Netanyahu allowed the meeting with Mossad to go forward as planned, Time reported.

In late January, Bloomberg reported that such a warning was indeed issued to the senators, against Netanyahu's stance on the matter.

Washington Post BEX - War with Iran is probably our best option

The logical flaw in the indictment of a looming “very bad” nuclear deal with Iran that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered before Congress this month was his claim that we could secure a “good deal” by calling Iran’s bluff and imposing tougher sanctions. The Iranian regime that Netanyahu described so vividly — violent, rapacious, devious and redolent with hatred for Israel and the United States — is bound to continue its quest for nuclear weapons by refusing any “good deal” or by cheating.

BEX Alert!!! - "Bolton: Obama deal with Iran ‘fundamentally flawed’"

Former US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton has attacked US President Barack Obama for planning to sign a “flawed” nuclear agreement with Iran.

Speaking at the South Carolina National Security Action Summit in West Columbia, SC, the potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate said the US president is negotiating “an unprecedented act of surrender” with Iran.

“This deal is fundamentally flawed,” he said on Saturday. “There really is no deal I’d trust Iran with.”

Bolton also defended 47 Republican senators, who sent a warning letter to Iran, claiming Obama’s possible nuclear agreement with Iran is a “mere executive agreement” that could be revoked “with the stroke of a pen and future Congresses could modify the terms of the agreement at any time.”

Kerry Argues That There Are Still ‘Significant Gaps’ Before A Nuclear Deal With Iran

Secretary of State John Kerry.
The Secretary of State, John Kerry , acknowledged Saturday the existence of “significant discrepancies” in negotiations with Tehran over Iran’s nuclear program but stressed that there has been “progress”.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the economic conference held in the Egyptian city of Sharm al Sheikh, Kerry said that “the objective of the negotiations is not simply to agree, but getting the right deal”.

He said that Iran may not be ready to accept the conditions, and revealed that if no agreement is reached further action will be taken.

WHAT IRANIAN JEWS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT ALL

If you’re looking for the Jewish community in the Iranian town of Esfahan, you won’t have to search for long.

Israel seeks to destroy neighbours’ histories and identities

This would not be the first time that the Israelis have endeavoured to destroy historical and cultural artifacts in order to bolster their territorial claims and to eradicate inconvenient elements of the past.

In 2003, in an article headed “Pillaging 7000 Years Of Iraq History No Accident” sub-heading “The Sacking Of Iraq’s Museums – US Wages War Against Culture And History”, Patrick Martin wrote in Rense.com that “US claims to have been taken by surprise by the ransacking of cultural facilities in Baghdad, Mosul and other cities are not credible. Such a tragedy was not only predictable, it was specifically warned against. . . . Attacking the cultural resources that connect the Iraqi people to 7,000 years of history is part of the process of systematically destroying their national identity.”

On Iran deal, Republicans cut off their nose to spite their face

The letter signaled not only continued Republican obstructionism toward seemingly anything President Obama does, but also that the United States is potentially no longer a cohesive entity in terms of how it conducts itself in global affairs. In fact, what the Republicans have done with their attempt at scuttling the diplomatic efforts aimed at peacefully resolving the Iranian nuclear dispute, is to make a claim that has very rarely been made in US history: that the US government’s executive branch does not conduct the nation’s foreign policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Under the Constitution, only the White House and the State Department may conduct foreign policy, and those 47 Senators who signed that letter to Iran (and the congressmen who bypassed the White House to invite Netanyahu to speak before Congress) are all in violation of the Logan Act, which carries a three-year prison sentence for the crime of unauthorized negotiations with foreign governments.

The long history of Israel gaming the ‘Iranian threat’

The only power of which the Zionist entity is afraid of, is the Islamic Republic of Iran, which believes that in accordance with human rights and democracy all the people of Palestine, whatever their religious inclination, have the right to carry out a referendum for one single country from the borders of Lebanon in the north to the Sinai in the south, and from the River Jordan in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. Thus, in a bid to deflect attention from its crimes against humanity, Israel has indulged in the absurd propaganda that Islamic Iran is trying to manufacture a nuclear warhead despite the explicitly fatwa of Islamic authorities, including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. But this crying wolf by Zionist premier, Benjamin Netayanho, has been found out by the west and its intelligence agencies to be a sheer lie that was repeated once again last week in Washington when some influential members of the US

John Kerry Says GOP Letter to Iran Was ‘Wrong’

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt—Secretary of State John Kerry, a day ahead of new nuclear negotiations with Iran, stressed to Tehran’s leadership that President Barack Obama has the power to implement any agreement reached with the country, despite intense opposition from Republican lawmakers in Congress.

Iran’s most powerful political figure, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, expressed reservations this week about the White House’s ability to execute a deal after 47 Republican senators wrote in an open letter to Tehran that Congress ultimately will decide the fate of any deal.

US says UN will approve final nuclear deal between Iran, P5+1

US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki has said that the United Nations Security Council would endorse any final nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group.

"We would anticipate that, if we're able to reach a joint comprehensive Plan of Action between the P5+1 and Iran, an endorsement vote would be held by the UN Security Council," Psaki told reporters on Friday.

She added that Washington’s unilateral restrictions imposed against Tehran would be in place, even if the UN Security Council decides to ease its sanctions on the country.

Iran and the P5+1 group -- the US, Britain, France, China, Russia, and Germany -- are currently working to complete the outlines of a nuclear deal by the end of March after they reached an interim agreement in November 2013.

The two sides have by the end of June to clinch a final agreement.

UN Security Council Begins Talks on Lifting Iran Sanctions

Western officials are confirming that there are talks underway among the current members of the UN Security Council about the language of a resolution which would lift economic sanctions against Iran.

There are presently eight UN resolutions against Iran, with four of them imposing economic sanctions, and officials say they intend to move quickly to lift them in an agreement between the P5+1 and Iran is reached.

That’s a surprise, as historically the UN Security Council has been very slow to lift sanctions. Indeed, neighboring Iraq is still under a portion of sanctions imposed on the Saddam Hussein government in the early 1990s, even though that government was ousted in a US military occupation in 2003.

Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday slammed Senate Republicans for their open letter to Iranian leaders, accusing them of seeking out a war with the country.

Neocon meteor Sen. Cotton is funded by Abrams, Adelson and Kristol and loves war a little too much

The liberal Zionist group J Street says that Cotton was scripted by neoconservative Bill Kristol. Street is reveling in the letter because it is sure to drag the neoconservative rightwing Israel lobby down politically, marginalize the greater-Israel lobby in the far right wing of the Republican Party. Just as the Netanyahu speech has hurt Netanyahu and the Likud wing of the lobby, the Cotton letter is turning out to be an own-goal, scored by the neoconservatives.

The neoconservatives reached out and groomed Tom Cotton when they saw him coming down the pike. The Harvard College and Harvard Law grad spent just one term in the Congress before challenging and defeating Mark Pryor last fall. And he got tons of money then from the Israel lobby.

Conspiracy, Anyone?

Iran and Syria are the last two holdouts among the Muslim states still resisting the New World Order. The CIA/Mossad-manufactured terrorist group, ISIS, is providing the West with the beheadings and such. (Even though we now know some of the infamous beheadings are phony and not real. Plus, have you noticed that the U.S. media pays NO ATTENTION to the beheadings being committed by Saudi Arabia or Mexican drug gangs--beheadings that have been going on for much longer and with much greater frequency?) And Bibi is pulling on the heart strings of the American people (Christians in particular) by creating the new monster that must be destroyed, namely Iran (and Syria).

In the aftermath of Bibi’s speech, we now have warmongering GOP senators threatening a declaration of war against Iran, even though Iran has not threatened a country in over 250 years.

Senator who spearheaded letter to Iran got $1 million from Kristol’s ‘Emergency C’tee for Israel’

J Street’s Dylan Williams fingers Bill Kristol for writing the letter:

Who gave @SenTomCotton & others the awful idea for the Iran letter? Seems like Sarah Palin-for-VP-level bad advice doesn’t it @BillKristol ?

There’s a reason for Williams’s suspicion. Kristol’s Emergency Committee for Israel gave Tom Cotton nearly $1 million in his race for the Senate just five months ago, Eli Clifton reported. “Cotton received $960,250 in supportive campaign advertising in the last month.” (Thanks to Kay24 in comments).

Cotton also got $165,000 from Elliott Management Paul Singer’s hedge fund. Singer is the billionaire who is trying to stop Obama’s Iran talks (Clifton’s reporting again). He funds the Israel Project too– Josh Block’s efforts.

GOP Iran Letter Was A Push For A Regime Change War And Defense Industry Profits

While many Americans are still outraged over the 47 Republican senators’ “open letter” to Iran, there are a new batch of idiots asking to join the “propaganda ploy.” Shortly after the “press release” was made public, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and former Texas governor Rick Perry nearly wet themselves asking to join the children posing as U.S. senators. Likely, Sarah Palin, Ted Nugent, and Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson will be begging to sign the letter soon.

Removing Israel from American politics

It is writing such as this, which illustrates and illuminates the extent of Zionist infiltration in the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave," which will drive home to the "American" public what has happened to their "dream, which may eventually stir them to action of some sort to bring it to an end... if anything will!

It is certainly past time to push back against an organization that is brazenly promoting the interests of a foreign government at the expense of the American people.

Shutting Down AIPAC

I would like to concentrate on two issues. First is the nature of the special relationship between Israel and the United States and second is the role of the Israel Lobby and most particularly AIPAC in shaping that relationship.

Iran Foreign Minister: We Believe We Are ‘Very Close’ to Nuke Deal

Iran's FM: I read the American constitution, I believe the– executive has the prerogative over foreign policy and for any foreign government, it has to lead with the executive. That’s the only way you can have international affairs. So I will accept the commitment of the U.S. government, the U.S. administration, about what– going to do. And I will– I mean if they have an agreement, I will hold them accountable.

Nuland’s Mastery of Ukraine Propaganda

So, did Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland mislead Congress or just play a propaganda game, asks Robert Parry.

An early skill learned by Official Washington’s neoconservatives, when they were cutting their teeth inside the U.S. government in the 1980s, was how to frame their arguments in the most propagandistic way, so anyone who dared to disagree with any aspect of the presentation seemed unpatriotic or crazy.

During my years at The Associated Press and Newsweek, I dealt with a number of now prominent neocons who were just starting out and mastering these techniques at the knee of top CIA psychological warfare specialist Walter Raymond Jr., who had been transferred to President Ronald Reagan’s National Security Council staff where Raymond oversaw inter-agency task forces that pushed Reagan’s hard-line agenda in Central America and elsewhere.

Americans seek treason charges against 47 Republican senators

Tens of thousands of Americans have signed a petition to the White House demanding treason charges against 47 Republican senators who attempted to sabotage President Barack Obama's efforts to reach a nuclear accord with Iran.

Over 155,000 people by Wednesday had signed the petition against the senators who they say committed "treasonous" offenses by writing an open to Iran's leaders.

In a bizarre move on Monday, the Republican group ignored protocol and sent a letter to Iran, warning that whatever agreement reached with Obama would be a “mere executive agreement” that could be revoked “with the stroke of a pen and future Congresses could modify the terms of the agreement at any time.”

The White House has announced that it responds to such petitions when they achieve the 100,000-signature target.

Saving World Heritage – the West’s New R2P Pretext

The ideological arsenal of pretexts for US military interventions are depleted, redundant, spent or thoroughly disgraced.

Is the defence of world heritage sites in Iraq the new «responsibility to protect» (R2P) doctrine to justify Western intervention in the geo-strategically important region? The timing coincides with renewed admonitions from the United States and Saudi Arabia for a coalition of ground forces to defeat the Islamic State network in Iraq and Syria – and just when Iraqi and Syrian forces appear to be decisively pushing back the extremists in both countries.

The US and its Western allies have long used the doctrine of «responsibility to protect» or «R2P» as a flimsy pretext for military intervention. They found success with various tropes, including the «War on Terror», the elimination of «weapons of mass destruction», and the Responsibility to Protect» human rights.

In the United States we may be approaching a tipping point in the struggle against Zionist racism and Israeli oppression.

The struggle is against racism, discrimination, oppression, occupation and illegal colonization because they are evils no matter who perpetrates them.

Half of the US Senate Just Committed Felonies, Could Face 3 Years in Prison

Nick Bernabe
Activist Post

Congress has really outdone itself this time. On Monday, neoconservative Republicans in the Senate were apparently so eager to go to war with Iran that they broke a federal law known as the Logan Act in the process. The Logan Act has been around since 1799 and has remained mostly unchanged, created to keep rogue members of Congress from undermining foreign relations.

How did Senate Republicans violate the Logan Act? Well they did that by being war mongers. But more specifically, when 47 members of Congress signed onto a letter that was sent to Iranian officials in an attempt to undermine the peace deal with Iran, they clearly violated the act — and also all committed felonies...

Probe into Iran cyberattack stalls over fears of confirming U.S.-Israel role

An Obama administration inquiry into a leak of information about a covert U.S.-Israeli cyber-sabotage effort against Iran has stalled because of national-security and diplomatic concerns, a media report says.

The Washington Post reported that a former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – Ret. Marine Gen. James E. Cartwright – is suspected of leaking to The New York Times information about a classified plan to impair Iran's ability to enrich uranium.

Neither the U.S. nor Israel has acknowledged such an effort, the paper said.

But the paper said that if prosecutors pressed the case, they would face major obstacles, particularly the potential that Israel might oppose disclosure of the operation's details in court.

But Andrew, what did you say when Prime Minister John Howard followed Blair and Bush into the most egregious war in modern history – all based on fraudulent Intel and motivations. Iran’s Foreign Minister Responds To US Senators’ Letter

Asked about the open letter of 47 US Senators to Iranian leaders, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Dr. Javad Zarif, responded that “in our view, this letter has no legal value and is mostly a propaganda ploy. It is very interesting that while negotiations are still in progress and while no agreement has been reached, some political pressure groups are so afraid even of the prospect of an agreement that they resort to unconventional methods, unprecedented in diplomatic history. This indicates that like Netanyahu, who considers peace as an existential threat, some are opposed to any agreement, regardless of its content.”

There have been times when history has played tricks with man and…has magnified the features of essentially small persons into a parody of greatness--Rabindranath Tagore(on Benito Mussolini)

How is it that the ruler (Benjamin Netanyahu) of a puny country (Israel) of 8.2 million (6.2 million Jews) with the 37th biggest economy (GDP in current prices) in the world dictates war policy and secures the willing submission of the legislature of the largest economy and most powerful military empire in the world?

What significance does Netanyahu’s speech to the US Congress have, beyond the fact that he uses it as a platform to attack the elected President of the US, to denounce US peace negotiations and to demand that Congress adopt policies designed to precipitate a war with Iran?
