Incoherent Thoughts from the Yankee Capital: Papua New Guinea Looks Better and Better II

Having just returned from two weeks in the curious environs of Washington, DC, I offer a few observations on the national lunacy deposit:

The de-Christianization of the country, or at least this part of it, is almost complete. I can think of hearing the word “Christmas” only twice in two weeks of trough-inciting retail advertising.

Culture shock: We stayed with friends who for various reasons, such as being in the business, always had a television on. At home in Mexico we got rid of the lobotomy box some fifteen years ago, seeing little advantage in paying seventy dollars a month for 250 channels, none worth watching, adorned with twenty minutes an hour of stupid commercials. Coming back to this was like jumping into raw sewage. Perhaps the worst of it was the contempt for the public manifested in running the same ad twice in one commercial break, and in the loving close-ups of pizzas with dripping cheese. Buy, buy, buy.

Christmas: The Greatest Gift for All

In our culture the individual counts. This permits an individual person to put his or her foot down, to take a stand on principle, to become a reformer and to take on injustice.

This empowerment of the individual is unique to Western civilization. It has made the individual a citizen equal in rights to all other citizens, protected from tyrannical government by the rule of law and free speech. These achievements are the products of centuries of struggle, but they all flow from the teaching that God so values the individual’s soul that he sent his son to die so we might live. By so elevating the individual, Christianity gave him a voice.

Formerly only those with power had a voice. But in Western civilization people with integrity have a voice. So do people with a sense of justice, of honor, of duty, of fair play. Reformers can reform, investors can invest, and entrepreneurs can create commercial enterprises, new products and new occupations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Paul, I am going to gently call you out on this. And in the most enlightened instances of Christianity, what you have said here, has generally been true.

However, that being said, have been times when the Christian church did not curb power, or protect the weak. In fact, for centuries, the Catholic church has covered up abuses against children, and not protected them at all, but did a marvelous job in "blaming the victim".

Head of 'God's Church' Announces Date for Jesus Christ's Second Coming

Church leader Ronald Weinland has announced that Jesus Christ will come back to establish a 1,000-year kingdom on Earth, and that this will happen sooner than one may expect.

"God has revealed that this final end-time count to Christ's return must fully align with the timing of certain annual Holy Days and that within that alignment there must be the fulfilment of very specific segments of time", reads a statement on his webpage.

He believes that the second coming should coincide with the holiday of Pentecost, which falls on the 7th Sunday after Easter. He earlier predicted that Jesus Christ would return either on 27 May, 2012 or 19 May, 2013. However, there were no news reports of the second coming on either of those dates.

Charlie Hebdo Journalist: ‘Islam Must Submit to Criticism’

Charlie Hebdo journalist Zineb El Rhazoui has received rape and death threats for saying “Islam must submit to criticism”.

The journalist, who has lived under police protection since a number of her colleagues at the satirical magazine were murdered by radical Islamic terrorist for satirising the Prophet Mohammed, said she has received “Insults, racist insults, [and] threats of death or rape” since she insisted: “Islam must submit to criticism, submit to humor, submit to the laws of the Republic, submit to French law.”

“I have not changed my mind since,” she added defiantly in an interview with the Europe 1 radio station.

Biblical City Of Bethlehem Boasts Largest Christmas In Years

Pilgrims from around the world flocked to Bethlehem on Monday for what was believed to be the biblical West Bank city's largest Christmas celebrations in years.

Hundreds of locals and foreign visitors milled in Manger Square as bagpipe-playing Palestinian Scouts paraded past a giant Christmas tree. Crowds flooded the Church of the Nativity, venerated as the traditional site of Jesus's birth, and waited to descend into the ancient grotto.

Palestinian Tourism Minister Rula Maaya said all Bethlehem hotels were fully booked, and the city was preparing to host an "astounding" 10,000 tourists overnight.

UK Taxpayers Funded Pakistani Death Courts As They Handed Down "Blasphemy Law" Sentences

New details from a secretive UK aid program reveal controversial Pakistani death sentence courts have been funded by the UK government for the past few years, even while Christians languished on death row as a result of the country's notorious "blasphemy laws". And while the program began as a "counter terrorism" initiative with a British ally, it's come under increased scrutiny after a Pakistani Christian woman was recently acquitted following 8 years on death row for "blasphemy charges". The Guardian reports:

British taxpayers are funding prosecutions in Pakistan that have led to dozens of death sentences, according to newly disclosed details of a secretive UK aid programme.

The documents reveal that the Foreign Office is supporting specialist civilian courts that prosecute terrorist suspects in what the UK government’s global security strategy calls a “rule of law” programme in Pakistan.

Pondering the Fate of Syria and the Will of God

All people, religious or not, who care about humanity will take strength from the resilience of the Syrian people in the face of overwhelming odds.

"In my lifetime, there has never been a greater force of evil than the terror rained down on Syria by foreign nations. Its cruelty and savagery have had no bounds. Nonetheless, Syria has defended itself against the economic might of 2/3 of the world’s great powers and has beaten them all. As a career military officer and student of military affairs, I cannot explain how Syria could accomplish this if it were not the will of God.”

These were words spoken by U.S. Virginia state Senator Richard Black during a recent visit to Syria. Here is a link to more of what he said.

Biohacker INJECTS himself with Bible & Koran DNA in bizarre experiment, his leg swells up

To err is human, to inject oneself with DIY DNA is divine… apparently? At least, that may have been the thinking behind one of 2018’s most sensational science experiments.

Teenager Adrien Locatelli from the French city of Grenoble translated the names of Jewish characters from the book of Genesis in the Bible and the entire 13th chapter of the Koran, the Surah Ar-Ra'd, into DNA code, all the while asking himself: “Is it even possible to do this?”

Locatelli switched every Hebrew character in the Book of Genesis with DNA code, made up of the letters “ACGT.” He did, however, exclude the certain passages he considered “controversial.”

Using an online tool, the teenage biohacker was able to translate the nucleotide (building blocks of DNA and RNA) information into protein sequences which he then injected into each of his thighs.

SADIQ SPEAKS AT EVENT HOSTED BY ANTI-GAY CHURCH EMBROILED IN PAEDOPHILE CONTROVERSY

Guido can reveal that London Mayor Sadiq Khan spoke on Sunday at a Christmas event hosted by a highly controversial church which discriminates against gay people and is embroiled in a paedophilia cover-up. The deeply evangelical Hillsong Church, founded in Australia, has a policy of actively excluding gay people from roles within the church, with founder Brian Houston explaining:

“Hillsong Church welcomes ALL people but does not affirm all lifestyles. Put clearly, we do not affirm a gay lifestyle and because of this we do not knowingly have actively gay people in positions of leadership, either paid or unpaid.”

It gets worse. Brian Houston is also facing an investigation in Australia over his alleged role in covering-up child sexual abuse by his father, Frank Houston, also an evangelical preacher who was accused of molesting nine children.

Toblerone is halal and the far right is furious

In April, the Bern, Switzerland factory that makes Toblerone—the triangular-shaped chocolate bars wildly popular in airport duty-free shops—received a halal certification. A halal designation means that a product’s ingredients and manufacturing process conform to dietary laws followed by some Muslims, such as no pork products or alcohol. Toblerone’s 110-year-old recipe already met all of those requirements.

Illinois Finds Catholic Church Hid Abuse Accusations Against 500 More Priests

Preliminary findings from the Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, in an investigation into abuse at Catholic churches in the state, were released on Wednesday.

The attorney general's findings revealed that the state's six Roman Catholic dioceses have withheld the names of 500 clergymen accused of misconduct, local media reports. The report is said to be highly critical of the state's six Roman Catholic dioceses, ripping into them for failing to properly investigate sexual abuse allegations against the clergymen and in some cases not investigating the claims at all.

"In the four months since the Office opened this investigation, the Illinois Dioceses have acknowledged that they are aware of an additional forty-five previously undisclosed clergy who they deemed to be 'credibly' accused of sexually abusing minors," the report says.

Pakistan Sentences Two Christians to Death for Blasphemy

A Pakistani court has sentenced two Christians in Punjab to death for the crime of blasphemy, following their arrest in 2015.

Qaisar testified that he had shut down the offending website in 2009 but that a Muslim acquaintance of his had resurrected the site keeping the copyright in Qaisar’s name.

On December 13, Judge Javed Iqbal Bosal heard the case in the Jhelum prison for security reason, and there declared the brothers guilty and sentenced them to death. The men are both married and Qaisar is the father of three children.

LA bishop accused of misconduct with a minor resigns as Vatican releases statement saying Pope Francis will allow Monsignor Alexander Salazar to step down

Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Los Angeles auxiliary bishop Monsignor Alexander Salazar, following historic allegations of misconduct with a minor.

The Vatican announced the resignation in a one-line statement, giving no details of the alleged incident.

The current archbishop of Los Angeles, Most Rev. Jose Gomez, said the archdiocese was made aware of the claim in 2005, which dates back to the 1990s.

Gomez said prosecutors declined to bring charges, but that the archdiocese forwarded the complaint to the Vatican office that handles sex abuse cases.

Gomez said that office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, imposed precautionary measures against Salazar and that a further investigation by the archdiocese's independent review board found the allegation to be credible.

Does Archbishop Welby's pride matter more than an elderly lady's pain?

This Christmas I would like you to think of the plight of a 94-year-old woman, who has been atrociously mistreated by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Her name is Mrs Barbara Whitley. More than three years ago, the Church of England publicly accused her beloved long-dead uncle of the filthy crime of child sex abuse.

The charge was based on the word of a single accuser, more than half a century after the supposed offence. The Church had presumed his guilt and made no serious effort to discover the truth. Key living witnesses were neither sought, found nor interviewed. A senior bishop admitted soon afterwards that they were actually not convinced the claim was true.

Yet by some mysterious process, a number of newspapers and BBC stations, all on the same day, felt safe in confidently pronouncing that Barbara’s uncle had been a disgusting paedophile. No ifs or buts. Who told them?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pope Francis, you and I have never met; but unless you want the Catholic Church to ultimately get sued out of existence, from the huge numbers of cases like this ready to break, you have got to acknowledge that there is an institutional cultural illness in the Church, which has to be rooted out like a cancer.

Priests should NEVER believe that their positions in the hierarchy EVER give them the right to abuse children, period, end of discussion.

Now, if you know your church's history, you know that there was a time when priests could marry, as stated in the following: The Church was a thousand years old before it definitively took a stand in favor of celibacy in the twelfth century at the Second Lateran Council held in 1139, when a rule was approved forbidding priests to marry. In 1563, the Council of Trent reaffirmed the tradition of celibacy.

Your Holiness, I would like to politely point out that since that time, this policy has not worked out very well, either for the priests who were doing the abusing, or the children abused; in fact, one could, reasonably, characterise this policy as a multi-generational epic fail.

The big difference, in the 21st century, is that those children who were abused now have a voice against those they accuse of doing this foul deed, in a court of law.

But if we are going to stop this practice, for future generations, I would suggest that the Church only recruit future priests from men who are married, and have happy, thriving, emotionally healthy wives and kids. Start elevating women in your communities, and give them voices which they still do not have, even in this part of the 21st century.

You are welcome, Pope Francis!!

Australian Court Finds Cardinal Pell Guilty of Sexual Abuse

A Melbourne court has reportedly convicted the Vatican’s finance chief, Cardinal George Pell, of sexually abusing two choir boys in the 1990s when he was archbishop of Melbourne.

Last year, Cardinal Pell requested a dispensation from his duties in Rome to travel to Melbourne to defend himself against the charges against him, which he has always denied. The Holy See has not yet commented on the reports.

The trial has been kept under strict secrecy, after a judge placed a gag order on all press coverage of the trial in Australia. Now, however, several Australian media outlets have reported that Pell has been found guilty of all charges.

Even when I believed, mistakenly, that the "Jewish people" was exiled by the Romans in 70 C.E. or 132 C.E., I didn't think that this conferred on the Jews some sort of imagined "historic right" to the Holy Land. If we seek to organize the world as it was 2,000 years ago, we will turn it into one big madhouse. Why not bring Native Americans back to Manhattan, for example? ... As I pursued my research, my realization that the Exodus from Egypt never happened and that the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Judah were not exiled by the Romans, left me nonplussed. There is not one study by a historian who specializes in antiquity that recounts that "exile" or any serious historiographic study that reconstructs a mass migration from the place. Holocaust: Dutch rail firm NS to pay families compensation

The Netherlands' state-run rail company NS has agreed to set up a commission to compensate Holocaust survivors and their relatives for transporting Jews to a Nazi transit camp. Its decision to "learn, honour and remember in an enduring way" followed a campaign by Salo Muller, whose parents were murdered at Auschwitz. Some 107,000 Jews were taken to Westerbork and deported, mainly to deaths camps at Auschwitz and Sobibor. Only 5,000 survived. NS said it had decided to avoid a legal battle, years after French rail company SNCF was ordered to pay compensation for its role in deporting 76,000 French Jews during World War Two. SNCF eventually apologised for its role in 2010, and later agreed a compensation fund after US lawmakers threatened to bar the state-run company from rail contracts.

Ukraine police raid three Russia-linked Orthodox churches

The Ukrainian police have raided three Orthodox churches aligned to Russia amid mounting political and religious tensions between the two countries.

Police and security services also searched the homes of priests who had declared their allegiance to the Russian branch of the Orthodox Church, regional police spokeswoman Alla Vashchenko told AFP on Monday.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church was recently granted independence from Moscow in a controversial ruling that prompted cheers from Kiev but anger in Moscow.

The raids on churches in northern Ukraine were part of a probe into the possible violation of a law on equality of religious belief, the spokeswoman said without providing details of the investigation.

"Nobody has been arrested," Vashchenko added.

But Archbishop Kliment Vecherya, a spokesman for the Russian-aligned Ukrainian church, compared the raids to the crackdown on religious freedoms during the early Soviet period.

US State Dept Paid $25 Mil Bribe to Patriarch of Constantinople to Foment Religious Chaos in Ukraine

Bartholomew has a shady past - he is also implicated in embezzling $10 million from a project to rebuild an Orthodox church near ground zero in Manhattan, destroyed on 9/11... Bartholomew is close to the Clintons... Was $25 million in American tax dollars allocated for a payoff to stir up religious turmoil and violence in Ukraine? Did Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko (unsuccessfully) attempt to divert most of it into his own pocket? Last month the worldwide Orthodox Christian communion was plunged into crisis by the decision of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I in Constantinople to recognize as legitimate schismatic pseudo-bishops anathematized by the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which is an autonomous part of the Russian Orthodox Church. In so doing not only has Patriarch Bartholomew besmirched the global witness of Orthodoxy’s two-millennia old Apostolic faith, he has set the stage for religious strife in Ukraine and fratricidal violence – which has already begun...

Lest we forget: Bygone lights shining on our dark present

"Nostalgia, a hybrid of nostos, the Greek words for "return", and algos, which means "suffering”, is often based on myths and false memories and, as such, is rarely a helpful illuminator on the present or guide to the future.

"But occasionally one stumbles on hard evidence of days long forgotten in the Arab world, or blurred and distorted by dysfunctional, primitive traditions and/or the venomous ideas of malicious forces among us, which shine a light on the darkness in which we currently live.

"The photographs below are snippets of the Arab world as it was once upon a time.

‘Wrong on so many levels’: Priest paraded through town in Porsche pulled by children (VIDEO)

A newly appointed parish priest is being accused of using his stature to put on a “ostentatious” public display, during which children were seen pulling a Porsche through the streets of a Maltese town with the clergyman inside.

Fr John Sultana, who this week was named the new parish priest for Gozitan community, Malta, was honored with a traditional parade by local followers. However, the pastor’s use of a rather luxurious vehicle and manner in which he was heralded into his new role has drawn widespread criticism.

Unusual Statues Of Jesus Christ (10 Pics)

The statue used to be white but was repainted black during the Detroit race riots of 1967.It was no surprise that the statue was repainted black. Atheist United Church minister keeps her job; 'heresy trial' called off

A United Church minister who had faced an unprecedented ecclesiastical court hearing over her professed atheism is no longer in danger of a defrocking after the two sides reached an agreement in the long-running case.

In an unexpected development this week, Rev. Gretta Vosper and the church settled ahead of what some had dubbed a "heresy trial," leaving her free to minister to her east-end Toronto congregation.

"It's going to be wonderful," Vosper said in an interview Friday. "We'll be out from underneath that heavy cloud. Now we'll be able to really fly."

The settlement, the terms of which are confidential, came during what was supposed to be a week of routine preliminary motions ahead of the full hearing later in the month.

Survivors call Vatican telling US bishops to wait on abuse ‘totally unacceptable’

Following Monday’s shock announcement that the Vatican has requested the U.S. Catholic Bishops to delay voting on new standards for bishop accountability, survivors of sexual abuse and bishop accountability activists decried the move as “totally unacceptable.”

Terence McKiernan, co-director of BishopAccountability.org, called the move a “preemptive strike” by the Vatican against U.S. bishops as they seek to respond to the current crisis of sexual abuse and its cover-up “in a modest way.”

Peter Isley, a survivor of clerical sexual abuse who now works with the organization Ending Clergy Abuse, said the decision from the Vatican effectively means, “We care more about our organization and our princely titles and positions” than enacting measures of accountability.

Vatican orders US bishops to delay taking action on sexual abuse crisis

The Vatican has told the US Conference of Catholic Bishops to delay voting on measures to hold bishops accountable for failing to protect children from sexual abuse, the president of the conference said in a surprise announcement Monday morning.

In his announcement, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo said he was “disappointed” by the Vatican’s decision, which he said he learned of on Sunday afternoon. Pope Francis met with his ambassador to the United States, Archbishop Christophe Pierre, on Saturday, according to the pope’s public schedule.

Pierre is in Baltimore and addressed the body of bishops on Monday morning, though he did not mention the Vatican’s insistence that the US bishops delay their vote. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops gathers about 200 bishops from around the country twice a year to debate and adopt new policies.

Muslims Shouting About Killing Jews Interrupt London Event

As about 20 Muslims interrupted a vigil, some brought up an event from early Islamic history, when Muhammed’s followers killed, injured, and displaced crowds of Jews from the town of Khaybar.

A vigil organized by pro-Israel activists in London’s Hyde Park, famous for being a free speech area, appeared to be severely interrupted and then dispersed altogether by men shouting anti-Jewish chants in Arabic, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

A few dozen people waving Israeli flags with candles in their hands gathered there ahead of the so-called Kristallnacht remembrance day, commemorating victims of the Nazi pogrom of 1938, as well as Jews killed and wounded across the Arab world.

Joseph Cohen, an Israel advocacy Movement campaigner, was filming the event when 20 men chimed in shouting:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am very grateful to be living in a "rainbow state", where people do not judge others by their faith, but what they do with their lives.

And to the guys who thought disrupting this event was a "great idea", actually, no, it sure as heck was not.

Blaming, accusing, and disrupting an event is easy; working with each other, in a dignified and respectful way that leads to moral, responsible conflict resolution, is the hardest thing in the world to do.

And yet, that is what we must commit ourselves to doing at this part of the 21st century, if we want there to be a future for humankind.

The Fraud of 'Antisemitism' and 'Hate Speech' | exposed by Righteous Jews [Dave Rubin & Milo]

"Anti-Semitism is the same kind of bogus thing as crying racism and crying sexism... We do run everything. Facts can't be racist. Jews are vastly overrepresented in the media; vastly overrepresented in banking... My mother is Jewish so according to Jewish law I'm Jewish... They know the jig is up... These people know; it's starting to dawn on them. They are starting to get the message that saying 'racist' is not going to shut people up anymore. It doesn't shut me up. Now you've got to come with facts."

Federal Land Transfer: Privatization of America's Wealth

Wherever you see a politician or lobbyist who is in favor of transferring public lands out of the federal domain, you will likely see a certain map created and is distributed by the American Lands Council, a Utah-based group that is dead-set against the federal land estate.

The map shows much of the West in blood red ink, according to ALC illustrating the vast reach of the federal government. But that map also fails to tell the truth. For one thing, it’s bright red color is no accident. Red is what psychologists call a “trigger” color. Red is equated with danger, risk and warnings.

Washington state lawmaker Matt Shea defends advocacy for ‘Holy Army’ as Spokane sheriff refers his writings to FBI

Washington state Rep. Matt Shea acknowledged Wednesday he had distributed a four-page manifesto titled “Biblical Basis for War,” which describes the Christian God as a “warrior,” details the composition and strategies of a “Holy Army” and condemns abortion and same-sex marriage.

The document is organized in 14 sections with multiple tiers of bullet points and a smattering of biblical citations. Under one heading, “Rules of War,” it makes a chilling prescription for enemies who flout “biblical law.”

After the document was leaked online Tuesday, the Spokane Valley Republican insisted he was not promoting violence and that the message had been taken out of context.

Breaking with tradition

Did the events depicted in the Bible really take place, and did the people mentioned really exist? In their popular book The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Texts, archeologists Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman refuted the biblical portrayal of the exodus from Egypt. In their new [2007] book David and Solomon: In Search of the Bible's Sacred Kings and the Roots of the Western Tradition, they have some surprising things to say about two key biblical figures, David and Solomon ... In their book, Finkelstein and Silberman claim that the kingdoms of David and Solomon did not exist as they were described in the Bible.

The Rock of our Existence

With the coming of the Zionists to Palestine, a frantic archeological search started. The country was combed for real, scientific proof that the Biblical story was not just a bunch of myths, but real honest-to-God history ... From the beginning of the effort to this very day, not a single piece of evidence of the ancient history was found. Not a single indication that the exodus from Egypt, the basis of Jewish history, ever happened ... Even if one would like to believe that the Bible only exaggerates real events, the fact is that not even a tiny mention of the exodus, the conquest of Canaan or King David has been found. They just did not happen.
Note: 75% of the founders of Israel had never set foot in Palestine nor had any of their ancestors. Fact.

Bishop: ‘Europe Is Being Islamized’ Because the Church Is Asleep

An African bishop in Rome for the synod of bishops has decried the lethargy of European Christianity, saying that it opens the door to an “Islamic invasion.”
In an interview Tuesday with the U.S.-based National Catholic Register, Andrew Nkea Fuanya, the bishop of Mamfe, Cameroon, said that the synod has been ignoring Europe’s low birth rates to its own peril.

The synod fathers have not discussed Europe’s demographic implosion, which is “a very big thing” for youth, Fuanya said.

“And I will dare to say that, especially with the backdrop of the Islamic invasion, if you look through history, where the Church slept, got diverted away from the Gospel, Islam took the advantage and came in,” he said.

As in the case of many African bishops, Fuanya has seen what radical Islam looks like up close. Cameroon borders with Nigeria and Chad in the north, forming a triangle that has been the epicenter of much Islamic terror at the hands of Boko Haram, an affiliate of the Islamic State.

George Soros and his 'rented evangelicals' outed by Christian leaders

Wall of Holocaust Denial Begins to Topple: Aboriginal Museum is Forced to Display Evidence of the Canadian Genocide

For the first time in Canadian history, a public museum will exhibit evidence which makes reference to overtly genocidal policies by both the churches and government of Canada towards indigenous people, including in the deadly Indian residential schools.

Relying primarily on the research gathered by Rev. Kevin Annett in his book Hidden No Longer: Genocide in Canada, Past and Present (2010, www.hiddennolonger.com), the aboriginal advisory committee of the new Peel Region Heritage Museum in Brampton, Ontario convinced the Museum designers, Vilnis Cultural Design Works, to establish a display that shows that genocide, according to the United Nations’ definition of the crime, did occur in the Indian residential school system.

The schools were established and run jointly by the Vatican and the Crown of England in 1834, and continued until 1996. According to government statistics, nearly half of the 150,000 children in these schools died because of treatment and conditions there.

Jean-Marie Le Pen praises French Holocaust denier following his death in Vichy aged 89

Robert Faurisson, the first Frenchman to be convicted of Holocaust denial, has died at the age of 89. Over several decades he became his country's most notorious revisionist, having contested Anne Frank's Diary's authenticity and defended French wartime leader Philippe Petain for collaborating with Nazi Germany ... Faurisson was convicted numerous times from 1981 to 2016 repeating his revisionist comments and writings ... Jean-Marie Le Pen, who founded the far-right National Front party, said he had fought for free expression. "Faurisson is a symbol of the way free speech has been criminalised in this county," Mr Le Pen said in a statement after his death was announced. "The State went through great lengths to silence Faurisson for decades." France passed memorial laws which outlaw Holocaust denial in 1990.

The Detail

On the subject of the Nazi gas chambers, Jean-Marie Le Pen recently stated: "If you take a thousand-page book on the Second World War, the concentration camps occupy two pages and the gas chambers ten or fifteen lines, and that's called a detail." He might have brought up some even harder hitting and more precise arguments, and referred to Eisenhower, Churchill, de Gaulle, Elie Wiesel, René Rémond, Daniel Goldhagen, and even the text of the Nuremberg Tribunal judgment. ... In this mass of writing, which altogether totals 7,061 pages (not including the introductory parts), published from 1948 to 1959, one will find no mention either of Nazi "gas chambers," a "genocide" of the Jews, or of "six million" Jewish victims of the war.

French Courts Punish Holocaust Apostasy: Le Pen, Faurisson, Garaudy Fined for 'Holocaust Denial'

Those who challenge the Western world's most important social-political taboo -- on the Second World War treatment of the Jews -- are routinely punished for their apostasy. France's Fabius-Gayssot law of July 13, 1990, makes it a crime to "contest" the "crimes against humanity" as defined by the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal of 1945-46 ... Faurisson and Le Pen are hardly the only ones whom Jewish groups and French officials have targeted for expressing skepticism of the officially sanctioned version of 20th century history. Other victims include Philippe Costa, Alain Guionnet and Fabrice Robert. Between July 1990 and January 1993 alone, the Fabius-Gayssot law had already been applied 27 times.

Religious Vegan Parents Convicted in Starvation Death of Son

Nearly five years after religious parents starved their toddler to death, a jury found Jennifer and Jeromie Clark guilty of criminal negligence causing death. The jury in Calgary, Canada also convicted the parents with failing to provide the necessities of life-related to the child’s death. At the time of death, the child suffered from a rash, gangrene, hypothermia, and a staph infection. Jennifer and Jeromie Clark, Seventh Day Adventists, had never taken the child to see a doctor. They only brought 14-month-old John to the hospital the day before he died. The parents starved the child to death with a strict vegan diet.

According to multiple reports, in November 2013, Jennifer and Jeromie Clark brought their son, John, to a local hospital. Doctors that treated John testified he had blisters on 70% of his body, gangrene on four toes, hypothermia, and a staph infection.
