Outside In: The Trump administration’s plan to remake the Middle East

The only promise that is new about the promised peace plan is the way it will be forced on the Palestinians: no one has promised that the plan itself will be new. With Saudi Arabia and Egypt—the outside—brought onside with the promise of continued military aid despite their crimes against humanity and violations of international law and the Palestinians weakened by being silenced, economically crushed and stripped of any friends to help them, the United States and Israel are now free to attempt to impose a peace plan on the Palestinians.

L.A. takes first step in silencing the 1st Ammendment - Tucker Carlson 10/11/18

Anyone who thinks that Los Angeles just wants to know who gives money to the NRA is fooling themselves. They just want you to "disclose" so they can find other reasons not to hire those who have ANY relationship with the gun rights group. While I am normally against government intervention, the federal government needs to step in to save the rights of those who will be banned from ever getting a contract as long as they also care about their 2nd Ammendment.

Jamie Lee Curtis wields firearms in new ‘Halloween’ movie despite advocating for gun control

Jamie Lee Curtis’ on-screen actions stand in contrast to her real-life persona as an advocate for gun control.

Jamie’s got a gun in the latest “Halloween” reboot.

In the 11th installment of the horror film series, Jamie Lee Curtis’s character, Laurie Strode, is seen wielding firearms in her quest to kill the film’s legendary villain, Michael Myers.

At one point, she shoots him as he’s standing in front of a window.

Whoops! We couldn’t access this Tweet.
But Curtis’s on-screen actions stand in contrast to her real-life persona as an advocate for gun control — one of several Hollywood actors who use firearms in their films while preaching against them away from the set.

Judicial Watch Sues ATF for Records About Obama Administration Attempt to Restrict AR-15 Ammunition

Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), a component of the Department of Justice, for 1,900 pages of records about a proposed reclassification that would effectively ban certain types of AR-15 ammunition as armor-piercing (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-02218)).

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit after the agency failed to respond to a May 14, 2018, FOIA request for the 1,900 documents about the Obama administration’s AR-15 ammo ban efforts. The documents include ATF talking points about the “Armor Piercing Ammunition Notice of Proposed Rulemaking” and other records discussing ammunition classification.

The lawsuit is the latest development in Judicial Watch’s more than three-year effort to obtain documents from the ATF. Judicial Watch discovered the document cache in separate litigation on the ammo ban issue.

Violent Crime Down in 2017, Gun Carry Up

Of course, the key takeaways are that violent crime, murder, and property crime are all down. More good news is likely on the way. A preliminary analysis of 2018 crime data from police departments in the 30 largest U.S. cities by the Brennan Center released last week projected the 2018 murder rate to be 7.6% lower than the 2017 rate. Keep in mind, the decrease in crime is occurring as a record number of Americans are obtaining permits to carry concealed firearms.

5 Glaring Reasons Why the Rite Aid Mass Shooting Disappeared from Headlines So Quickly

Last Thursday morning, a deranged individual wishing to cause harm to innocent people walked up to her job at a Rite Aid warehouse and began shooting people. Breaking news alerts filled the internet as #Aberdeen trended on Twitter and the internet buzzed with people trying to find out who would do such a thing. However, shortly after the shooter was identified, the news — unlike most mass shootings — quickly faded from headlines and fell out of the news cycle.

Snochia Moseley, 26, was the deranged individual who began shooting innocent people at 9:09 am last Thursday. Four people died, including Moseley, according to Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler, after she turned the gun on herself.

As is the case after nearly every single shooting in the country — besides this one — mainstream media and anti-gun activists alike, parrot themselves into a fury of gun control rhetoric. But that did not happen this time. Why is that?

A Brief History Of Repressive Regimes And Their Gun Laws

To maintain its iron grip, the Soviet Union had to turn to the most proven form of suppression — gun confiscation. On December 10, 1918, the Council of People’s Commissar mandated that Soviet citizens turn in their firearms. Failure to do so, led to criminal prosecution.

Soviet gun control laws remained tight in the following decades, although the government did go out of its way to give Communist Party affiliates privileged access to firearms.

Once World War II came to an end, Eastern European countries took after their Soviet overlords and started implementing gun confiscation, as detailed in Firearms Possession by 'Non-State Actors': The Question of Sovereignty. Several countries stood out during this time period:

Bulgaria: Once Communists took power in 1944, they confiscated privately owned firearms.

Iran WARNING: US tells airlines not to fly through airspace as WW3 fears rise

Tensions between Tehran and Washington are running high following Donald Trump’s controversial decision to pull out of the landmark Iran nuclear deal re-introduce economic sanctions last month.

Dianne Feinstein Wants Brett Kavanaugh to 'Reconcile' His Second Amendment Reasoning With 'Hundreds of School Shootings' That Never Happened

Yesterday Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who wrote the federal "assault weapon" ban that expired in 2004 and in recent years has been pushing a new, broader version of that law, asked Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh to explain why he concluded that such legislation is unconstitutional. After Kavanaugh recapped his reasoning (more on that in a minute), Feinstein replied, "How do you reconcile what you've just said with the hundreds of school shootings using assault weapons that have taken place in recent history?"

Feinstein's response was striking for two reasons. First, there have been nothing like "hundreds of school shootings using assault weapons," whether you look at "recent history" or go back half a century. Second, the shootings are irrelevant to the question of whether banning so-called assault weapons is consistent with the Second Amendment.

Walmart Denied an 18-Year-Old a Gun. Oregon Says They Broke the Law.

A Walmart in St. Helens, Oregon could be facing a stiff financial penalty thanks to its new age-restrictions on gun sales. After the national chain implemented a new policy in the wake of the Parkland, FL school shooting restricting the sale of guns to those over the age of 21, an Oregon resident named Hannah Brumbles went to her local store in search of a rifle. The 18-year-old college student was denied her purchase, however, thanks to the new rules. She and her father, gun rights activist Chris Brumbles, filed an age-discrimination complaint with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries in April, claiming the store violated state law.

In a decision this week, the Oregon BOLI agreed with the Brumbles’ complaint.

Giffords’ Gun Control Activists Plot Rollout of Next Generation Firearm Restrictions

Gun control advocates, however, have also adopted this technique to ensure that today’s “solution” to firearm-related violence inevitably tees up tomorrow’s even stricter measure to close the former law’s “loopholes.” As an article this week in USA TODAY demonstrated, even as gun control advocates are pressing for laws to give judges the discretion to order the seizure of guns that people already own, they are already preparing to argue that this is not enough. The next step requires giving bureaucrats the discretion to determine who should own guns in the first place.

As Land Confiscations Loom, South Africa Rules 300,000 Gun-Owners Turn Over Their Weapons

The Constitutional Court of South Africa recently ruled that 300,000 gun owners must turn in their firearms.

This judgement came in response to the North Gauteng High Court’s ruling in 2017 which said Section 24 and Section 28 of the Firearm’s Control Act were unconstitutional.

A report from The Citizen explains what Section 24 and Section 28 entail:

“Section 24 of the Act requires that any person who seeks to renew a licence must do so 90 days before its expiry date Section 28 stipulates that if a firearm licence has been cancelled‚ the firearm must be disposed of or forfeited to the state. A 60-day time frame was placed on its disposal, which was to be done through a dealer.”

Now that the High Court’s initial ruling has been overturned, gun owners who failed to renew their firearms licenses must hand in their firearms to the nearest police station, where authorities will then proceed to destroy them.

Game tournament mass shooter was prescribed anti-psychotic and antidepressant medications

The mall where the tournament took place was another “gun-free zone” that failed to stop a murderer from opening fire, astonishingly. The world has yet to figure out why “gun-free zone” signs don’t stop people from using guns. Meanwhile, gun control advocates call for expanding gun-free zones to encompass the entire nation, figuring that the only reason they don’t work is because they aren’t large enough.

Importantly, Katz acquired his firearms legally, purchasing them in Baltimore, Maryland where gun purchases are more restricted than almost anywhere else in the nation. He reportedly purchased the firearms in the last month and followed all gun purchase background checks, proving yet again that expanding gun background checks would not have stopped this mass shooting.

Why We Can’t Ignore the “Militia” Clause of the Second Amendment

Fearful that a large federal military could be used to destroy the freedoms of the states themselves, Anti-Federalists and other Americans fearful of centralized power in the US government designed the Second Amendment accordingly. It was designed to guarantee that the states would be free to raise and train their own militias as a defense against federal power, and as a means of keeping a defensive military force available to Americans while remaining outside the direct control of the federal government.

Louisiana AG Blocks Banks From Closing $600 Million Deal Due To Their Gun Control Views

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry has taken steps to block Bank of America and Citibank from underwriting a $600 million state deal, because of their public views on the Second Amendment.

Bank of America has pledged to end loans to gun manufacturers, who produce military style firearms for civilian use and Citi put restrictions on the sale of firearms by its business customers, according to The New York Times.

“We don’t want them to represent the state of Louisiana when they’re gonna decide to become the social police and infect Louisiana with these types of policies, under which they’re gonna restrict our citizens’ ability to legally purchase firearms,” Landry, a Republican, said on “Fox & Friends” Sunday. “And so it was a great day in Louisiana this week, our state treasurer, John Schroeder and many conservatives stood up and said, ‘No. We don’t want these types of corporations representing the state of Louisiana.’”

Judge Sides with NRA, 2nd Amendment Foundation, Disqualifies Washington Gun Control Initiative

A Thurston County Superior Court judge sided with the NRA and Second Amendment Foundation against a gun-control ballot initiative in the state of Washington.
On July 3, Breitbart News reported that the initiative, I-1639, was being presented as a simple attempt to raise the legal age for long gun purchases from 18 to 21. Although an attempt to disqualify 18- to 20-year-olds from exercising their Second Amendments is troubling enough, the reality of the matter is that I-1639 would have put in place a new system of background checks and myriad other guns controls as well.

The NRA-ILA listed a few of the controls I-1639 would have put in place:

[Created] a gun registry for any transfers of commonly owned semi-automatic rifles;
[Introduced] a 10-business day waiting period on the purchase of semi-automatic rifles;
[Imposed] criminal liability on otherwise law-abiding gun owners who fail to store their firearms to state standards;

Gun Owners Should Fear the Deep State

Some gun owners believe the deep state poses no peril to them because they are entitled to due process, a presumption of innocence and other constitutional rights. But such assurances can quickly become mirages when many politicians portray every privately owned firearm as a massacre in waiting. Many liberals will champion any “show us the gun and we’ll find a crime” crackdown. “Those who have nothing to hide, have nothing to fear” is an old saying designed to breed docility. But gun owners can afford to accept this adage less now than ever before. The deep state stands ready to exploit the rising tide of laws that turn gun owners into criminals who can be destroyed for political and bureaucratic profit.

Gun control efforts are already proven ineffective, and with 3D printing, soon to be rendered impossible. 3D printing will bring with it greater individual wealth and influence, but with it, society will have to learn to live with the greater individual responsibility that comes with it.

Gandhi advocated the right to bear arms; use of 'violence' to defend innocents against bullying, oppression

Gandhi is known around the world as the master of "nonviolence." And yet, in the face of being threatened with bullying attacks, even Gandhi directly advocated the use of violence in the defense of the innocent. Had Gandhi been alive today and witnessed the senseless loss of life at Sandy Hook Elementary school, he would have advocated arming the principal and giving her a chance to protect innocent lives through the use of defensive violent action.

Don't believe me? Read his own words...

CA Bullet-Microstamping Law Upheld By 9th Circuit, Even Though Technology Doesn't Exist

A California "microstamping" law that requires new semi-automatic handguns automatically imprint bullet casings with identifying information has been upheld by the 9th circuit court of appeals in a 2:1 split decision - despite the fact that the technology doesn't exist, reports ABC News.

The microstamping law - the first of its kind in the nation signed in 2007 by then-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, took effect in 2013. It requires that brand new handguns sold in California imprint the gun's make, model and serial number in "two or more places" on each bullet casing from a spent round.

The result of the new law was Smith & Wesson, Ruger and other manufacturers opting to pull out of California.

Gun rights advocates have slammed the law, as the technology doesn't exist to stamp bullet casings in two places as the law is written, and even if it did, criminals could replace or file down the firing pin and any other mechanism to "microstamp."

3D-Printed Guns Are a Great Example of Technophobia in Media, Politics

The hysteria over guns created by 3D-printing technology is a classic example of media and political panic driven by fear of new technology rather than any sort of measurable threat. This is "Craigslist Killer" territory, where a relatively new technology is presumed to somehow unleash all new sorts of problems.

The federal government wisely chose to settle a sure-lose lawsuit with Defense Distributed, a "capitulation" to reality that immediately set off alarm bells among law enforcement and state-level governments.

Paul Penzone, sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, claimed in the pages of The Washington Post that "anyone with an Internet connection and a 3D printer—readily available in stores and online—will be able to make an untraceable handgun, rifle or assault weapon with just a few clicks."
