US training Syria militants for false flag chemical attack as basis for airstrikes – Russian MoD

Russia’s Defense Ministry says “US instructors” are training militants to stage false flag chemical attacks in south Syria. The incidents are said to be a pretext for airstrikes on Syrian government troops and infrastructure.

“We have reliable information at our disposal that US instructors have trained a number of militant groups in the vicinity of the town of At-Tanf, to stage provocations involving chemical warfare agents in southern Syria,” Russian General Staff spokesman General Sergey Rudskoy said at a news briefing on Saturday.

Syrian War For Dummies - Three Versions

As the Ghouta campaign continues to unfold, we should expect that both politicians and mainstream media will give us - in the words of philosopher and theologian Reinhold Niebuhr - "necessary illusion and emotionally potent oversimplifications" intended to shape our perceptions of events.

This worldview is what BBC filmmaker Adam Curtis accurately characterized as a 'goodies and baddies' dualistic vision of global events which keeps the Western public under the illusion that its own political leaders are perpetually driven by concern over human rights, defending the weak and oppressed, and spreading democracy over and against the unenlightened megalomaniac dictators of the world who are simply bent on brutalizing their own people.

Russia Claims US Deploys Warships For Imminent Attack On Syria, Trains Militants For False Flag Attack

Well, it appears that Assad is a relentless glutton for punishment, because not even a year later, the WaPo reported two weeks ago that the US is considering a new military action against Syria for - what else - retaliation against Assad's latest chemical attack, which took place several weeks earlier.

How do we know Assad (and apparently, Russia) was behind the attack? We don't: in fact, former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, in a moment of bizarre honesty, admitted that he really doesn't know much at all about "whoever conducted the attacks." But hey: just like it is "highly likely" that Russia poisoned the former Russian double agent in the UK - with no proof yet - so it is "highly likely" that a clearly irrational Assad was once again behind an attack which he knew would provoke violent and aggressive retaliation by the US, and once again destabilize his regime.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF in fact what General Rudskoy is stating is true, we are seriously looking at war with Russia over Syria.

The "President Whisperers" around President Trump have gently fed him the koolaid over time, probably on an industrial-strength IV drip, that the US could actually triumph over Russia in this circumcumstance, which is not at all certain, given the Russian military's understanding of terrain, and superior weapons systems, which have been tested, successfully, in Syria.

I am completely disgusted at a US government and American Deep State, which still believes they can lie to the American public with impunity, and get away with it; NOT THIS TIME!!

Because the logical question to ask is, why would Al Assad order a chemical attack against his own people, when his, and the Russian militaries, are winning the fight against the jihadists?!?!

The logical answer is, he would not, and has not.

EMOTIONAL VIDEO: Syrian Soldier Liberates His Own Mother From East Ghouta Terrorists

Syrian state media SANA has released an emotional video that shows a Syrian soldier being reunited with his own mother.

The video was taken shortly after the soldiers mother safely evacuated from the Hamouriyah humanitarian corridor.

It is revealed in the video, that is not yet translated into English, that the soldier had not seen his own mother in eight years, effectively since the war began in March 2011.

McMaster: US Troops Will Stay Until Syria Is Stabilized

Despite conceding that the US and others had effectively liberated “100%” of ISIS-held territory in Syria, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster dismissed the idea that US forces might withdraw from the country any time soon.

“We have more work to do,” McMaster insisted, saying the US will stay “until ISIS is fully defeated, population centers are stabilized, and refugees can safely return home.” This vision of stability also appears to depend heavily on imposing a regime change in Syria.

Underscoring the focus on regime change, McMaster demanded that “all civilized nations” come together to punish both Russia and Iran for backing the Syrian government. He warned Assad would not have impunity, and neither would Russia or Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation of McMasterese: the US is going to "neutralize" Syria before it tackles regime change in Tehran, even if that potentially means war with Russia.

Syrian army captures key rebel stronghold in Eastern Ghouta as 12,500 civilians evacuate

The Syrian army captured the Hamouriyeh district in the capital Damascus' Eastern Ghouta countryside after the withdrawal of the Failaq al-Rahman rebel group as 12,500 people evacuated that area on Thursday, a monitor group reported.

The Syrian government forces have started deploying in Hamouriyeh and set up their positions in that area amid an ongoing evacuation process of civilians from that area, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

This comes amid heavy shelling from the government side on the remaining posts of Failaq al-Rahman in the towns of Jisreen, Zamalka, Kafar Batna and Saqba, said the London-based watchdog group.

The observatory added that 12,500 civilians have left the areas of Failaq al-Rahman rebels through Hamouriyeh on Thursday, marking the largest wave of evacuation from civilians since the Russian-backed humanitarian pause for the civilian evacuation started two weeks ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Syria, with Russia's help, is winning this on the ground, and the Western/US jihadis are being expunged.

This is why you can most probably expect to see yet another chemical attack against civilians, to be blamed on the Syrians and Russia, as the US pretext for going in, full bore, and invading the country.

This means that we will most likely wind up in a shooting war with Russia in Syria, and it may well be a war that the US military cannot win; they don't have the weaponry; the troop strength; the manufacturing, or the money to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia in Syria.

MSM, Brookings Reveals Plan To "Bleed" Syria In Absence Of Defeat On The Battlefield

By Brandon Turbeville

A recent opinion piece written by Tim Lister for CNN entitled “Assad May Win Syria’s War, But He Will Preside Over A Broken Country,” has unintentionally revealed part of the plan for Syria maintained by the United States, Israel, GCC, and NATO. In lieu of the complete destruction of the Syrian government, the “coalition” of invaders seems to be focusing on their Plan B goal of “federalization” and fracturing of Syria using Kurds, Islamic terrorists, and other religious/ethnic groups to create a collection of religious/ethno states incapable of resisting the will of world powers and one very specific regional power...

Thousands evacuated as families, injured leave E. Ghouta during ceasefire

Thousands of Eastern Ghouta residents – the biggest number leaving the area so far – have embarked on a journey to escape the shattered suburb during a humanitarian pause.

Almost 11,000 civilians have been safely evacuated, the Russian military said.

Some 800 civilians were leaving the area every hour through a humanitarian corridor established by the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria and the governmental forces, the footage taken on the ground was showing crowds of civilians moving through the corridor. While some of them go by car, most still travel over this long distance on foot. Entire families are seen leaving the area, with the people often carrying their children. Some are also seen carrying stretchers with injured or sick relatives.

PHOTOS: Turkey Continues Brutality Against Kurds In Afrin, 20+ Civilians Killed

Graphic images have emerged from the northwest Syrian city of Afrin after the Turkish air force just conducted an air raid that has killed at least 20 civilians and injured many more.

This comes as the Olive Branch forces, a coalition of the Turkish military and their Syrian puppets, prepare to storm the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) held city.

Turkey recognizes the YPG as a terrorist organization as it is the Syrian branch of the Turkey-based Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) that is internationally recognized as a terrorist group, including by Washington.

The liberation of Hamuriyah allowed the SAA to open a new humanitarian corridor there. Over 12,500 civilians were evacuated from Hamuriyah and nearby areas.

Additionally, the SAA once again re-established control over the village of al-Rayhanah east of the town of Douma controlled by Jaish al-Islam.

On March 16, the SAA advanced on the village of Saqba and launched another attempt to establish control over the village of Jisreen.

Washington ready to strike Syrian army, fires threats at UN

Mar 15 09:42

On March 14, ten so-called “moderate opposition” groups launched a large-scale attack on positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in northern Hama and captured the villages of al-Hamamiyat and Karnaz.

According to a released statement, the attack was dubbed “Wrath of Ghouta” and aimed at assisting militants suffering setbacks in battle against the SAA in the Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta. Later, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham also announced via its Iba’a news agency that its members had supported the groups involved in the advance.

However, by the evening, Wrath of Ghouta had turned to be a failure for the so-called moderate opposition. The SAA retook Karnaz and al-Hamamiyat, captured a battle tank and, according to pro-government sources, killed up to 50 militants.

World War III Is Approaching

Of course, there has not been any chlorine gas use unless by the Washington-supplied mercenaries. But facts are not important to Washington. What is important to Washington is Israel’s demand that Washington destroy Syria and Iran in order to get rid of Hezbollah’s supporters so that Israel can seize southern Lebanon.

No doubt that other interests are in on the plot. Oil companies that want to control the location of oil and gas pipelines, the crazed neocons married to their ideology of American World Hegemony, the military/security complex that needs enemies and conflicts to justify its massive budget. But it is Israel’s determination to expand its boundaries and water resources that set all of the Middle East conflict in motion.

I also fear that the outcome of such a conflict may not go well for this country.

UN: US Attack On Syrian Civilians Violated International Law

Last week, war crimes investigators at the United Nations charged a U.S.-led coalition with violating international humanitarian law last year when it launched airstrikes on a school in Syria that killed at least 150 civilians.

The war crimes investigators reported that internally displaced families had been sheltering in the school since 2012. The investigators said that U.S.-led coalition forces failed to take proper precautions to avoid the loss of civilian life during the attack, which took place in al-Mansoura, near Raqqa.

The investigators disputed the claims of high-level U.S. military officials that 30 Islamic State (ISIS or IS) fighters had been targeted and killed in the attack.

Russia says U.S. plans to strike Damascus, pledges military response

Russia said on Tuesday it had information that the United States planned to bomb the government quarter in Damascus on an invented pretext, and said it would respond militarily if it felt Russian lives were threatened by such an attack.

Valery Gerasimov, head of Russia’s General Staff, said Moscow had information that rebels in the enclave of eastern Ghouta were planning to fake a chemical weapons attack against civilians and blame it on the Syrian army.

He said the United States intended to use the fake attack as a pretext to bomb the government quarter in nearby Damascus where he said Russian military advisers, Russian military police and Russian ceasefire monitors were based.

“In the event of a threat to the lives of our servicemen, Russia’s armed forces will take retaliatory measures against the missiles and launchers used,” Gerasimov said in a statement.

Mar 14 09:02

On March 13, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) entered the area of al-Qadam in southern Damascus after local militants had been evacuated from it. Militants had been forced to sign an evacuation agreement with Damascus after ISIS units operating in the Yarmouk Camp had mostly overrun their defenses.

ISIS launched an attack on al-Qadam seeking to capture the area before it could be fully secured by the SAA. Clashes continued on March 14.
On March 13, Head of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov commented on the US threat to strike Syrian government forces if the military operation in Eastern Ghouta continues.

“There are many Russian advisers, representatives of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and servicemen in Damascus and at Syrian defense facilities,” he said adding that Russian forces will take retaliatory actions against any “missiles” or “launchers” posing a threat to Russian service members.

Putin’s Missiles: Deterring an American Attack?

Putin’s March 1st presentation of new Russian weapons has been greatly misunderstood as a declaration of strategic parity or triumphalism. There was a much more urgent need, namely, to prevent an imminent strike. This danger is not over yet, for a week later, on March, 7, President Putin emphasised his readiness to employ the nuclear weapons for retaliation purposes, even if it would end the world.

The sharply raised stakes were a game-changer. Who knows what will be the Russian response on this or other action of the Western allies? The warlike neocons say Russia is all talk, all bluff. Realists say that the US may suffer the humiliating and painful loss of its CSGs with thousands of lives at sea. The US President had enjoyed the previous strike of Syria with dozens of Tomahawks before returning to his beautiful chocolate cake. If the strike were revisited upon the striking SCGs – this is totally different matter.

Syrian army finds militants’ chemical weapons workshop in Eastern Ghouta

The commander further revealed that the lab contained vials for mixing chemicals as well as vats and mixing and heating equipment, in addition to a variety of materials used to make lethal chemicals and explosives, including substances containing chlorine, as well as Saudi manuals and booklets with the logo of the Takfiri outfit.

According to the commander, the workshop had housed high-tech equipment and installations, indicating “the involvement” of European and Saudi Arabia’s experts and chemists.

The Syrian government has time and again stated that it had completely destroyed its chemical weapons stockpiles, confirmed by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and that the chemical attacks are carried out by different foreign-backed militants in the Arab country.

“This has been confirmed by the discovery of a laboratory for the production of chemical weapons in the village of Aftris, which was liberated from terrorists," Gerasimov said.

US Commander: ‘US Troops Prepared to Die for Israel’ in War Against Syria, Hezbollah

Such a war is likely to be ignited by the unrest destined to follow the U.S.’ imminent move of its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The move, set to take place in May, led Hamas to call for a third intifada, or uprising, in response to the U.S.’ unilateral decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in defiance of the international consensus.

Beyond the fact that Israel is preparing to go to war with several countries simultaneously is the fact that U.S. ground troops are now “prepared to die for the Jewish state,” according to U.S. Third Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Richard Clark.

“We are ready to commit to the defense of Israel and anytime we get involved in a kinetic fight there is always the risk that there will be casualties. But we accept that, as in every conflict we train for and enter, there is always that possibility,” Clark told the Post.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would seriously doubt that.

US slams Russia at the UN and warns it will strike Syria again if airstrikes against civilians continue

UN Ambassador Nikki Haley slammed Russia for its support of Syria's Assad government, which she accuses of gaming the UN system to continue to kill civilians, possibly with chemical weapons.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday that France would launch attacks on any Syrian facilities used to launch chemical weapons attacks.
Haley ended her statement by saying that if the UN couldn't stop violence in Syria, then the US would act on its own.

The US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, slammed Russia and laid down a heavy warning for the UN Security Council on Monday, saying that if the international community can't come together to stop the bloodshed in Syria, the US will.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Madam Ambassador, I would like to politely suggest to you that some Americans can still read; and worse for you, still have the capacity for critical thinking.

The world knows you are lying, to support and forward the agenda of US troops going into Syria, in order to partition it, and create regime change in Damascus.

This will put us head to head with Russia in Syria, and this is not a place thinking Americans want us to be.

Russia Successfully Launches New Kinzhal Hypersonic Missile

Do we seriously want to be messing with a country with these capabilities, when the US military and defense complex have found themselves behind the proverbial 8-ball of not having these capabilities?

I think that the short, logical answer is, HELL, no!!

But just because something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government could possibly do is, unfortunately, no guarantee that the US won't do it.

I would like to remind you of how "well" our military interventions are continuing to go in Libya, Niger, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and other areas of the world where the US military is assisting in the expropriation of resources to which this country - and its corporate minions, have no moral right.

On March 12, US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley actually threatened that the US will strike Syrian government forces if they don’t halt their operation against terrorists in Eastern Ghouta.

“We also warn any nation that is determined to impose its will through chemical attacks and inhuman suffering, most especially the outlaw Syrian regime, the United States remains prepared to act if we must,” Haley said.

The US diplomat proposed a new UN ceasefire resolution that “will take effect immediately upon adoption by this Council. It contains no counterterrorism loopholes for Assad, Iran and the Russians to hide behind”.

According to Haley, the previous resolution “failed” because it had allowed the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies to conduct operation in Eastern Ghouta against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and other militant groups.

United Nations Censors Dissent, Censors Syria, Censors Facts

Ever since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in 2011, the Western corporate media has been alight with insidious and downright absurd propaganda regarding the nature of the Syrian government, military, society, and, of course, its president. In Europe and Australia the propaganda has been heavily pushed as well. However, while the independent and alternative media have thoroughly debunked much of the propaganda coming primarily from the United States, UK, Germany, and Australia, little has been said of the propaganda coming from the United Nations.

Unfortunately, the U.N. has a reputation among many people of being a voice and a vehicle for peace. However, the United Nations is anything but, and instead has played an active role in the destabilization, breaking, and destruction of states in the aim of the same agenda that has taken full hold of governments in the West...

Syrian Army Seizes Terrorists' Chemical Weapons Workshop in Eastern Ghouta

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik quoted Syrian Army Colonel Feras Ibrahim as saying that the army men seized a workshop that was used by the terrorists to build chemical weapons near the small town of Aftaris.

He further told Sputnik that the seized chemicals would likely be used to launch a false-flag chemical attack in Eastern Ghouta to later accuse the army of the attack.

Earlier reports said that the army troops continued their attacks on terrorists' positions after hours of a daily ceasefire ended in Eastern Ghouta on Sunday afternoon and laid siege on the town of Douma, the most important bastion of the terrorists in region.

The army men started attacking terrorists' defense liens from the newly-feed Modira region and advanced in Harasta.

"It is simple, straightforward and binding. It will take effect immediately upon adoption by this Council. It contains no counterterrorism loopholes for Assad, Iran and the Russians to hide behind," she stressed when presenting the resolution, saying that the previous one had "failed."

Islamists in E. Ghouta plan to stage false flag chemical attack – Damascus

Syria’s deputy foreign minister says militants plan a chemical attack in Eastern Ghouta on Sunday, will highlight the female victims and then pin the blame on Damascus. He accused the West of “only wanting to believe terrorists.”
“We have received information that militants plan to stage an attack between the districts of Mesraba and Beit Sawa. Tahrir al-Sham terrorists plan to sacrifice several women for this purpose and launch a disinformation campaign. The performance is thought to be scheduled for March 11,” Deputy Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad, told journalists in Damascus.

Earlier this week, the White Helmets, a self-proclaimed civil defense group, accused the Syrian government of staging a chlorine attack that affected 30 residents of Eastern Ghouta, a militant-held suburb of Damascus wrecked by intense fighting in the past month. The government, which regards the White Helmets as a foreign-funded terrorist propaganda organization, has rejected these claims.

24 tonnes of toxic substances found in areas in control of militants

Syrian chemical weapons specialists have recovered 24 tonnes of toxic substances in the areas previously controlled by militants, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad told reporters on Saturday.

"Western countries wanted to prove that the Syrian government forces were the ones who had used chemical weapons. However, we have found substantial amounts of chemicals production. We have numerously declared the fact, but the West wants to heed only the terrorists," he said.

"The OPCW experts are appointed by the West. They do not want to know the truth. When we are saying that those experts do not tell the truth, the United States claims that they are experts who cannot tell lies," the deputy foreign minister added.

First group of militants surrender arms & leave East Ghouta after Russia-brokered talks

The first group of militants have surrendered their arms and left East Ghouta as an increasing number of rebel fighters in Syria seek to disassociate themselves from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, the Russian military has announced.

“Certain representatives of illegal armed groups have intensified attempts to get in touch with the Syrian government forces and the Russian Center for Reconciliation with the aim of discussing their separation from the banned terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra,” Major General Yury Yevtushenko, the head of the Reconciliation Center in Syria, said in a statement on Friday.

Efforts to separate the so-called moderate opposition fighters from jihadists continue in the Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta. The Syrian government established a humanitarian corridor which remains open to both civilians and militants who are willing to lay down their arms.

Iran FM vows 'utmost efforts' to help people of Syria, Yemen

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has pledged the Islamic Republic's "utmost efforts" to help people in the two war-ravaged countries of Syria and Yemen.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran will make its utmost efforts to alleviate the pain and suffering of the war-stricken people of Syria and Yemen and dispatch humanitarian aid to the two countries' people," Zarif said in a meeting with the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Peter Maurer, in Tehran on Sunday.

Saudi Arabia and its allies launched the war on Yemen in March 2015. The military campaign, which is accompanied by a land, aerial and naval blockade of Yemen, has so far killed more than 13,600 people and led to a humanitarian crisis.

Syrian Military Uncovers Terrorist “Chemical Weapons Workshop” In East Ghouta

Mar 12 07:13

Last weekend a defense of militant groups operating in Eastern Ghouta collapsed under pressure of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies and the militant-held pocket was cut off into two separate parts.

Government forces liberated the town of Madiera, almost isolated the neighborhood of Harasta, captured farms near Jisrin and attacked Atfris.

The area of Douma is controlled by Jaish al-Islam with help of some units of Ahrar al-Sham, while the southern pocket is jointly controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda), Faylaq al-Rahman and Ahrar al-Sham.

On the same day, some pro-militant sources and mainstream media outlets released reports about a new chemical attack allegedly conducted by the Syrian government. The chlorine gas attack allegedly hit people in the neighborhood of Irbin. No evidence confirming these claims were provided.

‘Turkey not a NATO country?’ Erdogan slams allies’ refusal to support his offensive in Syria’s Afrin

Turkey’s leader has scorched NATO allies over their failure to support his “counter-terrorist” operation in the Kurdish-held Syrian region of Afrin, but expressed gratitude that they at least had no guts to openly oppose Ankara.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered the inflammatory comments while speaking before a gathering of his ruling AK Party in the Turkish city of Mersin on Saturday.

“Hey NATO where are you? We’re fighting so much. NATO, Turkey is not a NATO country? Where are you? You’ve invited NATO-member states to Afghanistan,” Erdogan said.

US Strategy To ‘Dethrone’ Putin For Oil Pipelines Might Provoke WW3

A study by the US Army’s Command and General Staff College Press of the Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth reveals that US strategy toward Russia has been heavily motivated by the goal of dominating Central Asian oil and gas resources, and associated pipeline routes.

The remarkable document, prepared by the US Army’s Culture, Regional Expertise and Language Management Office (CRELMO), concedes that expansionist NATO policies played a key role in provoking Russian militarism. It also contemplates how current US and Russian antagonisms could spark a global nuclear conflict between the two superpowers.

The document remains staunchly critical of Russia and Putin>>>

The Coming Backlash Against the Pentagon’s Hybrid War in Syria

U.S. and Turkish officials are due to meet in Washington today to begin thrashing out the range of issues now threatening to tear the already fragile relationship between the two NATO allies apart.

The Turkish-American discord goes back to the Obama administration when Washington persuaded Ankara to spearhead the regime-change project in Syria circa 2011, only to see the U.S. retract later, leaving Turkey holding a can of worms.

Since then the relationship has become mired in several disputes, with the overarching geopolitical result that Turkey has steadily drifted away from its Western allies towards a détente with Russia. This has taken the form of a quasi-alliance with Moscow over the Syrian conflict—a partnership that appears to be flourishing as a “win-win” economic relationship and has resulted in the Turkish decision to purchase an S-400 air defense system from Russia.

ISIS, or ISIL, or Islamic State, has been almost completely defeated in Syria, but the U.S. Department of Defense is requesting an increase instead of a decrease in funding to support “Vetted Syrian Opposition,” or fighters in Syria against Syria’s Government, and it refers to these fighters as being part of America’s “strategy to defeat ISIS,” instead of as being what they now obviously are: fighters for regime-change, or to overthrow Syria’s Government (which is headed by its President Bashar al-Assad, who received 89% of the votes cast throughout Syria in the internationally monitored 2014 Presidential election).

A pro-government media activist, Penelope Stafyla, has released a series of photos reportedly showing a media studio of the White Helmets, which produces “evidence of Assad regime war crimes” in the Eastern Ghouta region, near the Syrian capital of Damascus.

These photos are especially interesting amid circulating reports about a new “chemical attack” by the “Assad regime” in Eastern Ghouta. The new “chemical attack” narrative came amid large gains by government forces against militants groups in the area and allegedly injured over 30 people.

East Ghouta Terrorists Attack Civilians Attempting To Leave Area, MSM Silent As Usual

By Brandon Turbeville

For all the weeping and wailing of the mainstream media regarding East Ghouta and the hysteria over civilians in the terrorist-held areas being killed as a result of the operations to liberate the area, there is scarcely even scant mention of the civilians undeniably being targeted in Damascus by East Ghouta-based terrorists. While Russia and Syria have never been shown to have intentionally targeted civilians during the entire course of the war, America’s “rebels” have often solely targeted civilians throughout the conflict and are continuing to do so today...

On March 8, the Syrian Arab Army, the Tiger Forces and the Republican Guard liberated the villages of Hawsh Ashari and Hawsh Qubaybat, the Jisrin farms and the Air Defense Battalion base in the Eastern Ghouta region, near Damascus from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra), Faylaq al-Rahman and Jaish al-Islam.

The Air Defense Battalion base had been one of the main maintenance facilities for the Syrian Air Defense Forces’ S-200 long range air defense systems before it was captured by Jaish al-Islam in 2012.

Hamza Bayrakdar, a spokesman for Jaysh al-Islam, claimed that the militant group had launched an attack on government positions in the Douma countryside and had killed twenty SAA soldiers as well as destroyed a vehicle armed with a 14.5mm gun and damaged a T-72 battle tank.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the Tiger Forces and their allies liberated the town of Bayt Siwa, the Tank Base around Hawsh al-Ash’ari and imposed fire control over the town of Misraba in the Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta on March 7. Next day, the SAA advanced further on militant positions in Misraba where clashes erupted.

If Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and its allies lose this town, the city of Douma and the militant-held part of the Harasta district will be isolated from the rest of the militant-held area.

Fierce clashes were also reported in the area between Bayt Siwa and the Armoured Vehicles Base, about 1km-long militant area left between two these government-held areas.

Pro-government rallies were reported in the villages of Hammuuriyah and Kafr Batna. Locals are especially upset with a decision by militant groups to reject a Russian evacuation proposal for Eastern Ghouta.

US Planning to Disintegrate Syria, Not Fighting ISIS: Russian FM Lavrov

United States troops are continuing their presence in Syria even after its promise to end the mission after their alleged anti-ISIS mission, and this is a pointer to the ultimate intention of the US, which is to disintegrate, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

“It’s very likely that the Americans have taken a course of dividing the country. They just gave up their assurances, given to us, that the only goal of their presence in Syria – without an invitation of the legitimate government – was to defeat ISIS and the terrorists,” Lavrov said.

Regarding pledges to keep a limited military contingent in the war-town state, Lavrov says the US is not being open about their true objectives.

Over 5,000 civilian deaths unaccounted for in US-led strikes in Iraq, Syria: monitor

More than seven times as many civilians have been killed by the US-led coalition in Iraq and Syria than official numbers suggest, according to recent data from a leading monitor.

From the start of the intervention in August 2014 until mid-February this year, the coalition has killed between at least 6,137 and 9,444 civilians, according to Airwars, a UK-based monitoring group of experienced investigative journalists and researchers.

Hundreds of those were children, its figures show.

The numbers are in stark contrast to Operation Inherent Resolve’s own data, with its latest report, released on Friday, confirming at least 841 “unintentional” civilian deaths over the course of the campaign.

US Threatens Russia With Guerilla War in Syria – Analyst

The Trump administration is seeking to continue arming and training Syrian opposition forces through 2019, although Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) has been nearly entirely defeated in Syria. According to Russian analysts, the US-backed proxies could be used by the US against Damascus and Moscow.

The US is ready to provide military aid to any force fighting the legitimate Syrian government, Ivan Konovalov, director of the Moscow-based Center for Strategic Studies, says, commenting on the Trump administration's proposal to allocate $300 million "to train, equip, sustain, and enable elements of the Vetted Syrian Opposition (VSO) eligible for support under current law " in Syria in FY2019.

On February 25, activists and media linked to militant groups operating in Eastern Ghouta claimed that Damascus had used chlorine gas in the militant-held area. These reports allegedly triggered the White House to consider new military action in Syria. Nonetheless, it should be noted that the Pentagon denied that such a meeting had taken place.

On March 6, the White Helments, a notorious organization operating in areas controlled by al-Qaeda-linked militants, reported that government forces had conducted a new chlorine gas attack in Eastern Ghouta allegedly injuring 30 people.

It’s interesting to note that reports about alleged chemical attacks started appearing during a rapid advance by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda), Ahrar al-Sham, Jaish al-Islam and Faylaq al-Rahman.

A potential decision by Washington to take new military actions against Damascus would mark the second US strike on Syria in less than a year.

"As you saw the president's response to the attack last year, this is something that is under serious discussion as we speak, but again, something that needs to be discussed in a classified session," Daniel Coats told a Senate committee, referring to the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles towards a military base in Syria’s Shairat.

Israel Now Arming 7 Terrorist Groups In Syria, Report

By Brandon Turbeville

Israel has long been known to provide support to terrorists operating in Syria ever since the crisis began in 2011. From providing medical support to terrorist fighters as well as training and intelligence and even some amount of weaponry and logistics, the Israelis have openly supported the so-called rebels in their efforts to overthrow the secular government of Bashar al-Assad. Indeed, Israeli airstrikes on Syrian military and/or allied military positions in support of terrorist factions are the most obvious means of support with Israel having struck Syria around one hundred times since the beginning of the war.

However, while all this information is well known, more evidence has emerged that Israel is now providing terrorists with even more direct support and weaponry that it had done previously...

In Syria, the Real Siege Is by Terrorists Supported by Western Powers

In more than seven years of war in Syria, we have seen many times how Western governments and news media shamelessly invert reality.

The same was seen this week over the grim fighting around Eastern Ghouta, the suburb near the capital, Damascus, where 400,000 people are said to be trapped.

But who is trapping who?

US and European media breathlessly claim that Eastern Ghouta is under siege from Syrian “regime forces” allied with Russia. This description is posing things upside down.

The district was taken over nearly six years ago by foreign-backed extremists, like Jaysh al Islam, Ahrar al Sham, and Al Nusra Front. The latter is an internationally outlawed terror group, but they all share the same murderous ideology, as well as the same Western covert sponsors in the American CIA, British MI6, French DGSE, and lavish Gulf Arab funding. It is these illegally armed insurgents who are holding the civilian population under siege in a reign of terror.

Webmaster's Commentary:

More insanity, courtesy of the Western elements which want regime change in Damascus, and their pet presstitutes and whorespondents.

In a mid-term election year, President Trump appears to be betting on being able to lie the American people into war yet one more time in Syria; in the most peaceful, and Constitutional way possible, this cannot, and should not, be allowed to happen. Mr. President, ordering more military action in Syria would be taking this country down a very dark, and dangerous, path.

Our Constitution applies to all who serve in National government, even the President; and the Constitution clearly states that it is only Congress which can declare war, President Trump; not the President.

This will most likely, ultimately, mean war with Russia, and this may well be a catastrophe for the US military; they don't have the troop strength; the money; the weaponry; or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a conventional conflict with Russia in Syria.

And to the DNC, if you collectively happen to have two brain cells to rub together, for the 2020 Presidential election, you should be looking at grooming Tulsi Gabbard, the House Representative from Hawaii.

She is a multiple threat; a very bright minority (Samoan American); a Veteran; and an advocate of peace. She is also not Clinton-tainted, which will be an exceptionally valuable asset for any candidate you choose to run.

I would almost be willing to bet that in 2020, the American people will be willing to support a pro-peace candidate, seeing how all the wars this country has been fighting over nearly two decades, have devastated it, in so many ways.

White House Considers Military Action Against Syria

The White House is said to be considering a new round of military action against the Syrian government sometime soon, with recent media reports of chlorine gas exposure in Eastern Ghouta serving as a pretext for the attacks.

President Trump has requested the Pentagon to provide him various options for such a military attack, nominally to “punish the Assad government” over the unproven allegations of chlorine gas attacks.

That would be the second time in less than a year this has happened, as in April, 2017 the US fired a flurry of 59 Tomahawk missiles at Syria’s Shayrat air base, which at the time they said was over claims of chlorine gas attacks as well.

There was never any concrete proof of the allegations which served as a basis for the April attacks, which means that while there’s no solid evidence for these new allegations, that is unlikely to be an obstacle to a new US attack.

Webmaster's Commentary:

None of these alleged attacks have been proven to be caused by the Syrian military.

So let's ask a logical question, shall we; why would Bashar Al Assad order the gassing and killing his own people, when his military, with Russian assistance, nearly gotten rid of all the jihadists?!?

The short answer is, he wouldn't.

The Russian government, for several weeks, has made statements to the effect that it is the rebels using deadly gas, then doing videos of the results, so of course, the US is blaming Russia for these attacks happening, particularly the attack Eastern Ghouta last month:

US blames Russia for Syria chemical weapons attacks

But the question has to be asked also; how long is Russia going to put up with more American intervention in Syria before Putin believes he has to retaliate to stop it?!?

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet a against US/Russian confrontation in Syria, and unfortunately, President Trump will be precisely setting the stage for such a confrontation to happen, if he orders military action against Syria.

The timing is anyone's guess, but my sense is, relatively soon; perhaps within the next month.

And to the President and his Minions; the American people have had enough of being lied into war, thank you very much, and will not take kindly to it being tried again to enhance the US military presence in Syria.

Erdogan calls for mobilization of army reserves in Syria

In his recent speeches at Justice and Development Party (AKP) meetings, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan appears to be more chauvinistic than ever with frequent impassioned references to war sagas. With the battles at Afrin, the dose of his nationalistic and martyrdom utterances has increased, so much so that on Feb. 24 at a party meeting in Kahramanmaras he called on Turkish men who have already served in the army to be ready to go to Syria.

Addressing his supporters who were chanting, “Our leader, take us to Afrin,” Erdogan said, “Don’t worry. Once we decide to go we will not leave you behind, but take you with us. Now we are dispatching our trained cadres. Those who received mobilization orders should get ready. But at this moment we don’t need them. The minute we decide we will hit the road.”

Turkish males are subject to conscription when they reach the age of 20, and they are required to mobilize until the age of 41.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IT looks as though the Turkish government is preparing for more than just a little "cross-border" jousting with the jihadists; if Edrogan has called up Turkish reserves, he is planning on something far more ambitious than originally thought.

Syria War: What the mainstream media isn’t telling you about Eastern Ghouta

As Syrian government forces battle Jaysh al-Islam to retake Eastern Ghouta, Western media outlets have totally ignored the atrocities of the insurgents, preferring to blame all the violence on the "regime."

They're at it again, howling about a town in Syria that’s being retaken by the government. This time it’s Eastern Ghouta, a suburb of Damascus and one of the last remaining strongholds of the Islamist insurgency that has torn the country apart over the last seven years.

Before Eastern Ghouta it was Aleppo and before Aleppo it was Madaya and before Madaya it was Homs, and so on. All of these places were framed as though there were no armed insurgents present, and the Syrian authorities were just mercilessly massacring civilians out of cartoonishly villainous bloodlust. If the insurgents were mentioned, they were usually (and still are) presented by the western press as moderate rebels and freedom fighters.

US fails to stop Ghouta-based militants from raiding Syrian army, civilians: Russia

The Russian military says Washington is flouting a UN resolution on Syria by failing to prevent the militants it controls from launching daily raids on the Syrian army troops in Eastern Ghouta and shelling the capital Damascus.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation remarks on Monday came apparently in response to a US allegation made a day earlier that Russian warplanes purportedly had flown bombing missions over the militant-held enclave in defiance of a UN ceasefire.

“Washington does nothing to tame militants under its control in Eastern Ghouta,” the ministry further said in a statement, adding that Washington’s incompetence in controlling the Ghouta-based militants has led to the killing of civilians in the flashpoint region.

US-Backed Kurds Halt Anti-ISIS Operations to Fight Turks

While it doesn’t appear likely to change anything about the US plan to keep troops within Syria, the Pentagon announced Monday that there is an “operational pause” in the war against ISIS in Syria, because the Kurds are busy fighting the Turks.

The US strategy for fighting against ISIS within Syria has been to provide air support and artillery to target the area of the operation and throw Kurdish YPG fighters into the situation until they take over the territory.

In January, however, Turkey invaded northern Syria, attacking the YPG’s Afrin District, and vowing to hit the rest of the YPG’s territory, starting with Manbij and advancing eastward. Kurdish YPG forces, and their allies, have made defending their territory the entire focus of their operations.

U.S. Once Again Discussing “Military Action” Against Syria Over Alleged Chemical Weapons

By Brandon Turbeville

As the Syrian government rapidly gains ground against the terrorists in East Ghouta, the United States is once again considering military action against Syria under the guise of a “response” to alleged but disproven claims that the Syrian military is using chemical weapons...

The Syrian Arab Army, the Tiger Forces and their allies have advanced on positions of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and other militant groups in the areas of Harasta, Hawsh Ashari, Bayt Siwwa in the Eastern Ghouta region. Government forces have also entered the area of Rayhan, but have not been able to secure it yet.

Meanwhile, the US-led block, the mainstream media and pro-militant sources are developing their propaganda campaign in an attempt to save militants operating in Eastern Ghouta from defeat accusing government forces of civilian casualties and chemical attacks.

On March 5, the Pentagon announced that Turkey’s Operation Olive Branch against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the area of Afrin had led to an “operational pause” in US-led efforts against ISIS in eastern Syria.

Inside the Small But Important City of Manbij in Syria

Manbij is a good place to understand the jigsaw puzzle of competing fiefdoms into which Syria is now divided and the reasons why the multiple wars that have torn the country apart will go on for several more years. A largely Arab city with a population of 300,000, it is situated east of Aleppo and west of the Euphrates river, but has been effectively controlled by the Kurds since they captured it from Isis after a long siege in 2016.

Turkey has been repeatedly threatening to attack Manbij to end the Kurdish presence, though the Kurds, for their part, say they are no longer in control but have handed over power to a local body called the Manbij Military Council. The Turks claim that this just means that the Kurds have changed their uniforms, but the council, which has about 5,000 fighters, acts in concert with US troops, so, if Turkish troops and the local militias they work with do advance, it will be at the risk of a shooting war with the US.

Eastern Damascus: Terrorists Fleeing Battlefields Amid Rapid Advances of Syrian Army

The sources said that the terrorists in Eastern Ghouta are escaping the battlefields in groups after the army men freed the small town of Otaya and its nearby regions.

Fierce clashed are underway between the terrorists and the army soldiers in al-Shifouniyeh, adding that over 63 terrorists have thus far been killed and several vehicles and a large volume of military equipment have been destroyed in the army advances.

The sources further said that tens of terrorists' tunnels and trenches have been captured by the army and a number of militants have been captured.

In a relevant development on Saturday the Syrian military helicopters threw thousands of leaflets over the villages and towns in Eastern Ghouta to inform civilians willing to leave the area about the safe corridor designated for evacuating civilians through al-Wafideen Camp.
