Tel Aviv Jane Steps in her Own Fewmets.

Jane Harman, the Zio-con Congresswoman who covers the ground from Santa Monica to San Pedro has been caught offering to subvert the course of justice or, as they call it in Congress, performing ‘business as usual’. The delicious irony is that Jane was a serious player in all of the illegal shit that the Bushitas got up to and she got nailed by a legal version of all the illegal operations she was such a cheerleader for. You won’t find any mention of her being Jewish anywhere in the MSM because that would connect certain dots in the mind of the public that have been connected so many times before by so many dual national traitors in the last several decades that well… I don’t really know what to say here. I really don’t.

The Tax Implications of Genetic Information

Advances in genetic research promise to loosen the tradeoff between progressivity and efficiency by allowing tax liability (or transfer eligibility) to be based in part on immutable characteristics of individuals (“tags”) that are correlated with their expected lot in life. Use of genetic tags would reduce reliance on tax bases (such as income) that are subject to individual choices and, therefore, subject to inefficient distortion to those choices. If genetic information can be used by private employers and insurers, the case for basing tax in part on it becomes more compelling, as genetic inequalities would be exacerbated by market forces.

Pelosi Said She Knew Harman Was Wiretapped

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that she was first informed in a confidential briefing a few years ago that Rep. Jane Harman had been recorded by spy agencies, but that she couldn't tell Harman or anyone else about it.

Pelosi said the briefing from intelligence agencies was usual practice in the Capitol, where top congressional leaders are always told when a member of Congress pops up during the course of secret investigations.

Pelosi wouldn't comment on the substance of the briefing about Harman.

"I was not in a position to raise it with Jane Harman. All they said was that she was wiretapped," said Pelosi, who said she couldn't remember if the secret briefing took place in 2005 or 2006.

US Cities Increasing Use of Armed Mercenaries to Replace Police

The United States is in the midst of the most radical privatization agenda in its history. We see this in schools, health care, prisons, and certainly with the US military/national security/intelligence apparatus. There are almost 200,000 "private contractors" in Iraq (more than US soldiers) and Obama is continuing to use mercenaries there and in Afghanistan and Israel/Palestine. At present, 70 percent of the US intelligence budget is going to private companies.

Crisis as a Means to Building a Global Totalitarian State

As the world financial and economic crisis comes into its own, the Western political leaders and elites are seeking to impress on mankind the idea that this upheaval will end up ‘turning the world into something different’.

Even though the picture of the 'new world order’ remains vague and fuzzy, the main idea is quite clear: A single global government, goes the argument, has to be established if we don’t want general chaos to prevail.

U.S. Initial Jobless Claims Rose 27,000 to 640,000 Last Week

Bloomberg.com -Bob Willis - The number of Americans filing first- time applications for unemployment insurance rose last week to 640,000 as forecast, while total benefit rolls reached a new record, a sign companies remain in job-cutting mode.

Initial jobless claims increased by 27,000 in the week that ended April 18, from a revised 613,000 the prior week, the Labor Department said today in Washington. The number of people staying on jobless benefit rose by 93,000 to 6.14 million, the 12th straight week the figure has set a record.

New interview with FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds

Sibel Edmonds is the most gagged person in US history. The government has repeatedly invoked the State Secrets Privilege in her case - not for reasons of 'national security' but to hide ongoing criminal activity. Please call Waxman and Conyers' offices and demand public open hearings into Edmonds' case and the State Secrets Privilege. Links to their contact pages on the right of the blog.

From the interview:
GK: When was the last time that you had any contact with Waxman's office?

SE: That would be, having real conversation/contact was before the election in 2006, but in March 2007, I spoke with one of his staff people... and he said the congressman was very serious about having these hearings. But just as he was planning on scheduling a hearing for my case - this is the State Secrets Privilege and the whole FBI case - he was called into a hearing with Nancy Pelosi, they went into a meeting for about 30 minutes, Chairman Waxman came out and told his staff that they were not going to have these hearings, including my case.

FLASHBACK - STIMULUS PLAN A SCAM TO BENEFIT THE RICH Higher loan limits will lead to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac bailout

Contrary to popular myth, Fannie holds a lot of subprime debt, option ARM debt and other dodgy securities. Fannie and Freddie owned or guaranteed almost 45 percent of all mortgages in America last year. BusinessWeek noted in 2007 that Fannie and Freddie have "moved more prominently into low-documentation loans, which require little or no proof of the borrower's income." Expansion of Fannie and Freddie's reckless lending is exactly what Congress wants because it's plausibly deniable. Teary-eyed lawmakers can take to the airwaves a year from now and declare: "We had no idea Fannie could go under, but we can't cut and run now. We have to bail out Fannie and Freddie for the good of America! It's going to be a tough slog, but you're getting used to those, no?"

Before its portfolio of bad loans helped trigger the current housing crisis, mortgage giant Freddie Mac was the focus of a major accounting scandal that led to a management shake-up, huge fines and scalding condemnation of passive directors by a top federal regulator.

One of those allegedly asleep-at-the-switch board members was Chicago's Rahm Emanuel—now chief of staff to President Barack Obama—who made at least $320,000 for a 14-month stint at Freddie Mac that required little effort.

Police and PM in dock over arrest of terrorist suspects

The case against 12 Muslim men involved in what Gordon Brown described as a "major terrorist plot" amounted to one email and a handful of ambiguous telephone conversations, it emerged last night after all the men were released without charge.

Eleven Pakistani students and one British man were freed after extensive searches of 14 addresses in North-west England failed to locate evidence of terrorist activity, according to security sources. Police did not find any explosives, firearms, target lists, documents or any material which could have been used to carry out an attack.

Last night Lord Carlile, the reviewer of terror laws, said he would be heading an immediate "snapshot" investigation into the arrests.

Norton Anti-Virus Fails The Test - Beat by Free Software!

What’s wrong with this picture? When a consumer purchases top of the line Anti-virus software, they expect to solve their virus problems. Norton’s excuse that the viruses prevented their program from operating properly doesn’t hold water when downloading a free program solves all of the issues. Is Norton admitting they can’t even compete with a free program and their software is so fragile that run of the mill Trojan horses render it ineffective when free programs operate seamlessly? In short, Norton wouldn’t do the job unless we paid them more money - and in my opinion, that’s gouging, especially when said issues are cured by free software.

Texas Researchers Plan Lawsuit of Biodefense Lab

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A group of Texas research facilities plans to sue the Department of Homeland Security over its selection of a Kansas site for a new biodefense lab. The researchers contend DHS violated federal law and arbitrarily chose Manhattan, Kansas, over San Antonio.

Wednesday's filing was the notice required before the group can sue in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington.

In January, DHS selected Manhattan for a new $450 million lab to study animal diseases and other potential bioterrorism threats. But the Texas researchers claim DHS ignored the likelihood of tornados in the region.

Just because diaspora Jews that have not lived here for thousands of years have that right, what makes Palestinians think they deserve the same?

Isn’t it ‘ TIME FOR A CHANGE’?

This was only a matter of time. Everyone from inside and outside GM assumed that the company would default on its debt and likely go bankrupt barring some miracle.

But now it's official. The company's CFO says the firm will not make its June 1, $1 billion debt payment reports WSJ.

The announcement comes as smaller rival Chrysler appears headed for liquidiation.

Cheney pushed torture techniques to find Iraq, Qaeda tie: report

At the urging of Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, the Bush administration used torture techniques against suspected terrorists in part of an effort to establish a tie between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda, according to a report Wednesday.

"The Bush administration put relentless pressure on interrogators to use harsh methods on detainees in part to find evidence of cooperation between al Qaida and the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's regime, according to a former senior U.S. intelligence official and a former Army psychiatrist," McClatchy Newspaper's Jonathan Landay writes.

Netanyahu's new-old methods of stalling peace talks

In the prime minister's bureau, too, time is of the essence. His predecessors at the helm of Likud, Yitzhak Shamir and Ariel Sharon, taught Benjamin Netanyahu how to buy time from the Americans - months, and even years - at a bargain price. First, the settlement enterprise must be covered with the tried and true fig leaf known as the Labor Party. Give its leader the defense portfolio and he will impose order on the Palestinian side and ensure the guys on the outposts lack for nothing. Then you say that a new government needs a few weeks, perhaps months, to study the situation and to formulate its own peace policy. After all, the conflict with the Arabs is something completely new.

Harmanic Convergence

the story of how this leading "national security Democrat" sold out her nation’s security on behalf of a foreign power underscores the all-pervasive and corrupting influence of Israel’s lobby in the U.S. Harman was caught on tape with a "suspected Israeli agent," according to Congressional Quarterly, agreeing to intervene with the U.S. Justice Department and the White House to get the espionage charges against two AIPAC employees reduced. In return, the Israeli agent promised AIPAC would put pressure on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to get Harman appointed head of the House intelligence committee.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All politicians who fail to stand up and denounce Harman and Israel may be assumed compromised and complicit.

The Mighty Debt-Purge of 2009

The Fed's $12.8 trillion of monetary stimulus has triggered a six week-long surge in the stock market. Think of it as Bernanke's Bear Market Rally, a torrent of capital gushing from every rusty pipe in the financial system. The Fed's so-called "lending facilities" have gone far beyond their original purpose which was to backstop a broken system. Now they're leaking liquidity into the equities markets and sending stocks soaring while the "real" economy sinks to the bottom of the fish tank. That's how the Fed does business these days; plenty of tasty crepes for the Wall Street kingpins and table-scraps for the lumpen masses.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Imagine a guy who has a ton of credit cards, and his doctor tells him he has only 6 weeks to live. Assuming that the credit card companies don't find out and cancel his cards immediately (fat chance these days) the guy goes on a wild spree for the remaining weeks of his life, spending money like there is no tomorrow (which is the truth).

That is kind of what Wall Street looks like; a terminelaly ill patient with only weeks to live, maxing out the credit cards on one wild last party.

Guess who gets the bill after this particular patient falls over dead.

Israel and Obama, Sitting in a Tree, *-U-C-K-I-N-G

With America groaning its last gasp, due to all of that money looted out of Wall Street that made "aliyah" to Israel, looks like Israel is making soft cooing sounds to their next host, Russia.

Dozens of Prisoners Held by CIA Still Missing, Fates Unknown

Last week, we pointed out that one of the newly released Bush-era memos inadvertently confirmed that the CIA held an al-Qaeda suspect named Hassan Ghul in a secret prison and subjected him to what Bush administration lawyers called "enhanced interrogation techniques." The CIA has never acknowledged holding Ghul, and his whereabouts today are secret.

But Ghul is not the only such prisoner who remains missing. At least three dozen others who were held in the CIA's secret prisons overseas appear to be missing as well. Efforts by human rights organizations to track their whereabouts have been unsuccessful, and no foreign governments have acknowledged holding them.

The parasite Trypanosoma brucei, which causes African sleeping sickness, is like a thief donning a disguise. Now two laboratories at Rockefeller University have joined forces to reveal how the parasite initiates its getaway, by cleaving both strands of its DNA.
