The storm, categorized as a nor'easter for the northeasterly winds blasting along the coast, was forecast to complete a counterclockwise loop Wednesday night, extending adverse conditions in New England and Long Island, New York, AccuWeather predicted.

Forecasters said the storm had undergone a period of rapid intensification known as bombogenesis – when the central pressure of a storm drops by 0.71 of an inch of mercury or more over a 24-hour period to become a "bomb cyclone."

Exclusive: Apple, Amazon and Marvel: How TikTok monetizes teens cutting themselves

In August, Apple, the world's largest company by market capitalization, announced it would begin scanning uploaded photos for child pornography. The company also said it would warn teens who send nude photographs about the dangers of sharing sexually explicit images.

"At Apple, our goal is to create technology that empowers people and enriches their lives — while helping them stay safe," Apple said in a release. "We want to help protect children from predators who use communication tools to recruit and exploit them."

And yet, weeks after a major report revealed that social media app TikTok recommends bondage videos to minors, including clips about role-playing where people pretended to be in relationships with caregivers, Apple continues to buy ads targeting young teens. The ads appeared just prior to Raw Story's Wednesday report that found TikTok serves teens videos about suicide and self-harm.

Healthy Mother Left In WHEELCHAIR With Blood Clots After Getting COVID Vaccine

Kerry Hurt is a 43-year-old mother from the United Kingdom who was left in a wheelchair after trying to do “‘the right thing” by getting the COVID-19 vaccine. She now sees this as a huge mistake, as she was left with blood clots and a stroke, which have put her in a wheelchair.

Kerry told the Manchester Evening News that she was forced to get life-saving treatment because a blood clot formed on her brain a week after having her AstraZeneca vaccine in April. The operation involved having part of her skull removed, and she then suffered a “massive stroke,” which resulted in the left side of her body being paralyzed.

These areas of intersectional focus include economic security, gender-based violence, health, education, justice and immigration, human rights and equality under the law, security and humanitarian relief, climate change, science and technology and democracy, participation and leadership.

Biden’s strategy is both domestic and global, and it outlines priorities to support women’s rights. It also takes a cue from the national policies on gender equity of Scandinavian countries, as well as Canada’s national gender strategy.

The IRS Is Terrified Of Biden's Plans

On Monday, a group of 99 banks and industry groups addressed a letter to President Biden prompting him to drop his proposal to hand over transaction data to the IRS, noting they were not satisfied with simply raising the threshold from $600 to $10,000.

The organizations that represented business and financial interests, called for the White House to withdraw support for the measure and find 'more targeted measures' to reduce the tax gap.

The proposal to hand over data on all aggregate inflows and outflows of accounts with more than $600 in total transactions, drew sharp outcry from Republicans and banks alike, provoking Democrats to raise the amount to $10,000. However, the letter asserted that raising that cap amounted only to 'cosmetic' changes.

Opinion: FDA panel admits vax is one big experiment, but it still rubber stamps approval of jabbing kids

“We’re never going to learn about how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it. That’s just the way it goes,” said Dr. Eric Rubin.

Rubin is one of the voting members of an advisory committee to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that voted 17-0, with one member abstaining, on Tuesday to allow the Pfizer jab to be given to kids 5 to 11 under an emergency use authorization (EUA).

Zero Hedge reports that now the FDA must grant final approval, which could come within days, and then the Centers for Disease Control will offer an opinion on who should take the shot.

With comments like Rubin’s, its clear that this is nothing but a rubber stamp, and that comment is an admission that this is one big experiment that they want to subject American kids to.

Emergency rooms across America getting FLOODED with patients suffering acute organ failure and debilitating symptoms… media claims it has nothing to do with covid vaccines

National Public Radio (NPR) is flabbergasted by a major uptick in emergency room admissions across the United States.

Even though it is painfully obvious that “fully vaccinated” Americans are getting sick in droves NPR is chalking it all up to mystery – or perhaps something spooky since Halloween is just days away.

In Lansing, Mich., for instance, Sparrow Hospital is seeing a massive swarm of very ill patients having to be lined up on stretchers in the facility’s hallways due to a shortage of available beds.

“It’s hard to watch,” said Tiffani Dusang, the emergency room’s nursing director.

Unvaccinated People To Be Banned From Berlin Christmas Markets

Unvaccinated people will be banned from visiting Berlin’s famous Christmas markets, with even the option of providing a negative COVID test likely to be removed.

“Under a strict ‘2G’ model, those over the age of 12 must be double vaccinated or recovered from the virus and would be denied entry even if they have a negative Covid-19 test,” reports the Daily Mail.

Visitors to the markets must also wear face masks and observe social distancing despite the event being held in the open air.

Both the WeihnachtsZauber market at Gendarmenmarkt and the Weinachtsmarkt at Roten Rathaus have announced they will enforce the strictest policy, despite being given an option to be more lenient and allow attendees to provide a negative COVID test result.

The Orange County School Board is one of a handful of Florida’s 67 county boards that have flouted the governor’s order, even as the courts have sided with the DeSantis administration pending current litigation of the matter.

However, shortly before the meeting, this journalist was approached by two concerned parents about a sexually explicit book, which has garnered national attention, that their child found featured prominently in the library of Boone High School on a bookstand promoting the LGBT community during Pride Month.

“I spoke with two recovering meth addicts who said they had to relearn how to speak. ‘It took me a year and a half to recover from the brain damage it had done to me,’ one of them said. ‘I couldn’t hardly form sentences. I couldn’t laugh, smile. I couldn’t think.'” …

We are facing an unprecedented global energy crunch. Demand for energy is continually rising, and the production of energy is not keeping pace. One of the biggest reasons for this is that large financial institutions have become extremely hesitant to fund any new energy projects that will add more carbon emissions to the environment. Instead, they want to fund projects that will help us transition to the new “green economy”, but meanwhile we are getting to a point where we will soon see widespread shortages of traditional forms of energy. So now we all get to suffer. A lack of oil is pushing the price of gasoline to alarming heights, shortages of natural gas are already causing tremendous disruptions in Asia and Europe, we are being told that we are facing a propane “armageddon” this winter, and supplies of coal have dropped to dangerously low levels around the world.

In other words, we are potentially heading into the most painful global energy crisis in modern history.

‘An Act of Cowardice’: 21 Israel-Based Groups Condemn Terror Label for Palestine NGOs

Twenty-one Israel-based civil society groups on Sunday joined Palestine defenders around the world in condemning the Israeli government’s labeling of six Palestinian advocacy groups as terrorist organizations, calling the move “an act of cowardice.”

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s “designation of prominent Palestinian civil society organizations, among them our colleagues in the Palestinian human rights community, as terrorist organizations is a draconian measure that criminalizes critical human rights work,” the groups said in a statement.

“Documentation, advocacy, and legal aid are fundamental activities for the protection of human rights worldwide,” the statement continued. “Criminalizing such work is an act of cowardice, characteristic of repressive authoritarian regimes.”

Weapons execs lament losses from Afghanistan exit, tout DOD budget increase

Speaking to investors on Tuesday, two of the biggest U.S. weapons manufacturers provided estimates on how the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, a war that cost U.S. taxpayers over $2 trillion and took over 243,000 lives, impacted their bottom lines. Both companies also expressed enthusiasm about a bipartisan push to increase the 2022 defense budget by $29.3 billion, a five percent increase over the 2021 budget and more than $10 billion more than President Biden requested.

Approximately half of the defense budget goes to contractors like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, both of whom explained to investors how the end of a 20 year war will impact their profits while still painting a rosy picture of ballooning defense spending driving corporate revenue and padding the bottomline for shareholders.

Raytheon CEO Gregory Hayes, who took home nearly $21 million in compensation last year, acknowledged that the end of a war was bad for the bottomline, telling investors:

Taiwan’s President Confirms US Troops are on the Island

In an interview with CNN that aired Wednesday, Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen confirmed reports that said US troops are in Taiwan training the island’s military. The confirmation is the first time since Washington severed diplomatic relations with Taipei in 1979 that a Taiwanese leader acknowledged the presence of US troops on the island.

Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal reported a US special operations unit and a contingent of Marines have been operating in Taiwan to train Taipei’s military for at least a year. Tsai would not say how many US troops were deployed to Taiwan but said it is “not as many as people thought.”

The US has been deploying troops to Taiwan for training purposes for decades, but the unofficial presence is rarely acknowledged. Although twice in 2020, both Washington and Taipei made it known there were US forces on the island.

Pentagon Generals, News Writers Abuse Chinese Test Flight To Argue For More Weapons

The generals in the Pentagon want to get rich. Most strive to take this or that board position at one of the large weapon manufacturers after they retire. But to get there requires that the generals, while still in the military, promote more weapons sales.

Big newspapers are another party with interests in promoting weapon manufacturers and wars. They pay for quite a lot of advertisement. News of weapons and wars also nice clickbait which brings more paying subscribers and again additional advertisement.

These two forces collaborate in their weapon and war promoting efforts which in the best case result in the plundering of the common people. In the worst case the end result is the slaughter of many innocent humans for no sensible cause or reason.

Yemen’s Houthis Seize Two New Districts in Maarib

Another day in Yemen’s contested Maarib has the Saudis reporting another 105 Houthis killed in airstrikes. The big news may be the Houthis gaining yet more territory.

The Houthis confirmed having captured the Jubah and Jabal Murad Districts, two more districts on the fringe of Maarib City. Between those, and the ones taken earlier this week, the Houthis have the city almost entirely surrounded, and have taken parts of the city itself.

It’s hard to see how the casualties are so disproportionate when the signs on the ground are that the Houthis are effectively winning, and are on the verge of taking the city, the last part of northern Yemen they don’t control.

Khalilzad urges US engage with Taliban to avert Afghan collapse

The former United States special envoy for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad said the Biden administration should engage with the Taliban to help ease the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the country now.

Khalilzad, who negotiated the US withdrawal with the Taliban ending a 20-year military presence, on Wednesday defended the agreement and Taliban leadership while blaming former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani for the failure of peace talks and the fall of Kabul.

Turkish Parliament Extends Syria, Iraq Missions by Two Years

On Tuesday, Turkey’s parliament voted to extend their military mandate for cross-border operations in Iraq and Syria. This authorized two more years of operations.

Turkey has been operating in Iraq for decades, and in Syria throughout the Syrian War. In both cases, the operations center almost exclusively on attacking Kurdish groups, who they label “terrorists.”

Syria’s YPG has been expecting another Turkish incursion on them in the lead-up to this vote. Turkey’s President Erdogan is again talking up these operations, saying there is “no patience left” for the YPG, who he labeled “a source of terror attacks.”

Appeal Hearing: Prosecutor Attacks Judge's Decision, Which Blocked US From Extraditing Assange

The Crown Prosecution Service, which represents the United States government, went before the British High Court of Justice and bashed the work of the district judge, who blocked the extradition of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in January.

James Lewis QC argued Judge Vanessa Baraitser approached the extradition law incorrectly when she focused on predicting "future uncertain events," which might result in a deterioration of his mental health. Baraitser wrongly assessed Assange's risk of suicide, and "she should have weighed crucial factors in the psychiatric evidence significantly differently."

He said the High Court should accept the appeal on the basis that the U.S. government offered "assurances" that Assange won’t be subjected to Special Administrative Measures (SAMs) or incarcerated in ADX Florence, a super-maximum prison in Colorado. Plus, key medical testimony offered by defense experts and accepted by the district judge should in fact have been rejected.

Guantanamo: Lawyer says case should be put on hold at Supreme Court

A lawyer for one of Guantanamo Bay's "forever prisoners" says the Supreme Court should wait to decide on a case involving his client until it's clear what the Biden administration will let him say about his torture at the hands of the CIA.

In a letter to the court sent on Monday, the lawyer for Abu Zubaydah said that while the US government has agreed to let him testify about his treatment, any testimony he gives would be subject to review by the government, making it unclear what information the Guantanamo detainee would be able to provide.

The US government "makes no commitments about how much, if any, of Abu Zubaydah’s declaration will be shared with the Polish prosecutor, and does not say whether Abu Zubaydah will be allowed to specify when he was tortured, an issue that was central at oral argument," David Klein, Abu Zubaydah's lawyer, said in his letter.

Israeli forces attack protesters against plans to turn Palestinian graveyard into biblical theme park

Palestinian protesters were attacked on Tuesday by Israeli forces as they demonstrated against the bulldozing of a cemetery in Jerusalem to make way for a theme park, according to local media.

Israeli forces attacked protesters who gathered and held prayers at Al-Yousufiyah Cemetery, where graves have been dug up and the site desecrated.

One of the protesters was detained by Israeli police.

Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, said the planned theme park is an assault on the dead.

"The graves of human beings cannot be violated no matter the gender, nationality or religion," he said.
