Special Counsel, John Durham's inquiry into the origins of the Russian investigation, moved closer to the White House on Tuesday with a report that National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan was the "foreign policy adviser" mentioned in the indictment of former Hillary Clinton presidential campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann.

Sussmann was charged in September with supposedly lying to the FBI and has pleaded not guilty.

The 27-page indictment says Sussmann told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker that he was not working for a client when he requested a meeting. At this meeting, he submitted evidence of what he insisted was a secret communication channel between Donald Trump and a Russian bank.

The disgraced ex-governor’s amnesiac moments struck throughout his 11-hour interview on July 17 with outside lawyers tapped by state Attorney Letitia James to probe the allegations.

“I don’t have any recollection purposefully touching a woman on the butt,” Cuomo said at one point, according to a 515-page transcript released by James on Wednesday.

Government Increasingly Is Asking Citizens to Turn Each Other In. Here’s Why That’s So Dangerous.

By Hannah Cox

In the dystopian novel 1984, the government relied on the use of telescreens and informants to enforce its massive, repressive regime. And while that was fiction, events in our modern society are eerily similar to it.

There’s a troubling trend emerging: Americans are being encouraged and even incentivized to turn their fellow citizens in to the government for a myriad of reasons.

For one example, federal officials this week announced they plan to rely on informants in order to determine which companies are enforcing their new (unconstitutional) vaccine mandate. The Biden Administration has used the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as a means of implementing the rule without Congressional approval. Essentially the order says that companies will be heavily fined by the agency should they not demand their employees be vaccinated. But even the administration recognizes there are limits to their ability to enforce such a rule...

Biden now wants to HIRE Democrat Terry McAuliffe after he lost to Glenn Youngkin in Virginia governor race, report claims

Virginia voters chose not to rehire Terry McAuliffe, but the former governor could find a spot in the Biden administration.

The Biden White House is considering bringing on the well-connected McAuliffe, who talked up the Biden agenda in his ultimately unsuccessful run against Republican Glenn Youngkin.

McAuliffe has spent decades at top levels of Democratic politics, only to be turned out by voters in a state Biden won by 10 percentage points in 2020.

But he has skills and connections, plus experience as a purple state governor, that make him attractive to the Biden team.

How to Massively Skew Reporting of COVID Deaths and Vaccine Reactions

economics is based on a simple premise: people respond to incentives in predictable ways.

people mistakenly presume this applies only to money, investment, production, etc. this is not so. it applies to every kind of tradeoff that humans make as they engage in the decisions that determine the course of their lives. all of them.

it’s easy to get people to do more of something if you pay them to do it. that’s simple and straightforward.

hospitals got paid massive sums for finding covid cases. there was a huge pool of federal money that went to them and vastly boosted revenues. states got aid based on covid counts and covid deaths, so they found ways to get more covid on more death certificates. it’s just simple math. you do what pays.

even family members were recruited into the act and medical fees were paid for by the government if it was covid (but not, for example, if it was pneumonia).

even funerals got into the act.

Must See: Tulsi Gabbard Defies Her Party's Racism

Former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard called politicians to reject the "racialization" of politics in recent days.

On "Tucker Carlson Tonight," host Tucker Carlson said Gabbard is one of a handful of rising Democratic voices that are pushing back on their party's divisive and increasingly extreme rhetoric and policies. Carlson asked Gabbard about that remark and whether it represents an emerging trend within the Democratic Party sans the far-Left.

"I think that really is the critical thing here, is that when we have Democrats and Republicans in positions of leadership, of course, there are going to be disagreements on different issues or how we approach solving the problems of the American people,"

“No individual in the United States may, on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity that is funded in whole or in part with funds made available to carry out this title,” the infrastructure bill reads.

Americans Missing Trump So Much, Liberals Telling Biden Don't Bother Running

When the Boston Herald's columnist start telling democrats not to bother running for office, it must be bad. That is exactly what has been happening in newspapers all across America, respected leftist journalists telling the leader of the Free world to not even bother running for office. Perhaps, it is Biden's lagging polls as it seems, no one in America wants a Joe 2.0.

With precisely one year until the midterm elections, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats in Congress face dismal ratings that show they could be in for a rout in 2022, according to a new USA Today/Suffolk University survey.

The poll, which was conducted after the Tuesday elections before House Democrats passed the popular infrastructure bill on Friday, reveals Biden with almost rock-bottom approval ratings, Harris with even worse numbers, and Democrats trailing by a broad margin on the generic congressional ballot.

U.S. President Joe Biden raised $61.8 million for his inauguration events, receiving large contributions from corporations, labor unions and wealthy individuals, according to a financial disclosure.

The Democratic president's inaugural committee took in $1 million in contributions each from about 10 big companies, including Pfizer Inc (PFE.N), the maker of one of the COVID-19 vaccines being deployed in the United States, as well as from AT&T Services Inc (T.N), Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) and Boeing Co (BA.N).

Corporations making $1 million donations also included Uber Technologies Inc (UBER.N), Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT.N) and Qualcomm Inc (QCOM.O), according to the filing submitted on Tuesday with the Federal Election Commission.

The committee also received $1 million from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a major labor union.

About a dozen individuals donated $500,000 each, according to the filing.

Gun Control Dooms Dems In Securing Rural Votes

I don't know about you, but though I'm a conservative (or at least conservatarian), I'd love to actually have an election where it was difficult to choose between the two major parties. Since the Second Amendment is by far the most important factor in my vote, however, it's been really easy to decide where my vote is gonna go. But based on the absolute ass-kicking delivered to the Democrats last Tuesday in my home state of Virginia, you'd think they'd get the message that maybe it's time to move on from their goals of disarming American citizens. Based on the reaction so far, though the Democrats are in deep denial or simply unwilling to waiver on their commitment to denying Americans their Second Amendment rights, and disparaging those who exercise them.

Build Back Better Legislation Would Hamper Worker-Deprived Sawmill Industry

A few in the industry made up the Today’s Sawmill Challenges at the Railway Tie Association’s annual meeting in St. Louis last week.

With the housing market boom and COVID-19 pandemic, railroad wood crossties have taken a back seat to other products in the nation’s sawmills. Supply chain issues are constant, and with the older workers opting out the problem does not seem to have a solution in the near future.

“There are not enough people on the ground in the lumber industry,” Frank Wilson of Wilson Brothers Lumber said.

Paul Gaines from Madison County Wood Products echoed Wilson’s concern, and said wages in the sawmill industry are up 20%.

Itamar Ben-Gvir: With rise of a Jewish supremacist, Israel's Likud is pulled far-right

For many years, Itamar Ben-Gvir was a political outcast in Israel. He was educated in Rabbi Meir Kahana’s Kach party with its official platform advocating the nullification of Israeli citizenship for the state’s Palestinian citizens.

Kach was such a racist party that members of Likud, then the leading right-wing party, would walk out of the Knesset plenum whenever Kahana spoke from the podium.

After Kach - the only Jewish political entity in Israel ever defined as a terrorist organisation - was outlawed, Ben-Gvir continued his violent activism against Palestinians and was charged eight times for it, including for incitement to racism and support for a terrorist organisation.

Judge dismisses portion of inauguration lawsuit against Trump Organization

The Trump Organization secured a partial victory on Monday as a Washington, D.C., superior court judge dismissed a portion of a lawsuit brought by the D.C. attorney general over actions by former President Donald Trump's 2017 Presidential Inaugural Committee.

The judge dismissed a claim by D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine that Trump's inaugural committee "wasted" $1 million in rented ballrooms at Trump's Washington, D.C., hotel, writing that they have not met the standard of proof that would allow that part of the lawsuit to proceed.

"In short, there is no genuine dispute that the value paid for the space at the Trump Hotel reaches the extreme burden that Plaintiff need to carry a waste claim to its fruition," Judge José López wrote.

Court reverses $465mn judgment against Johnson & Johnson over opioid case

A $465 million judgment against pharma giant Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiaries for allegedly violating a public nuisance law over its sale of huge quantities of opioids has been thrown out by Oklahoma’s Supreme Court.

The five-to-one judgment found that J&J had no liability for the opioid crisis that has devastated Oklahoma’s population, arguing instead that “the district court’s expansion of public nuisance law went too far.”

“Oklahoma public nuisance law does not extend to the manufacturing, marketing, and selling of prescription opioids.”

The Demonization of Core Americans

A seldom-explained problem slowing the Democrats’ march to a permanent one-party state is that while their electoral grand strategy is impressively opportunistic, sleazy, and dangerous to the country, Democrats don’t like to think of themselves as the cunning bad guys.

Therefore, they blow elections, such as last week’s governor’s race in Virginia, by taking their own rationalizations for their schemes at face value. Ironically, the Democrats’ success at generating talking points for the press makes it hard for them to remember that their gambits are ruses rather than ethical imperatives. So they wind up taking their stances too far for their own electoral good.
