Life in the Confederate Army: Not Fighting for Slavery

Lee replied in a letter dated December 15, 1866, and stated, in part, what the result would be:

” . . . [T]he consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of the ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded it.”

Cop Granted Immunity Despite Video of Him Shooting Little Girl, While Trying to Kill Small Dog

Wichita, KS — Last year, a cop was fired after he shot a little girl inside her own home while trying to kill her dog. Showing that they are willing to hold their own accountable, the officer was charged with felony aggravated battery the following March. However, this month, TFTP has learned that a Wichita judge ruled the cop is immune from criminal prosecution and can’t be sued.

Judge Kevin O’Connor issued his ruling last month on the case of officer Dexter Betts. However, it was not made public until this month. After the ruling, according to the Wichita Eagle, the Sedgwick County district attorney’s office filed a notice of appeal.

Lock, Stock, & Barrel: Why are Americans Hoarding Guns & Ammo Amid COVID-19 Pandemic?

The coronavirus outbreak has not only led to empty shelves in US grocery stores but has also boosted gun and ammo sales across the country. American observers have given explanations about the possible roots of the trend and its potential consequences.

On 17 March, an online ammunition store Ammo.com reported an unprecedented increase in bullet sales starting in February 2020 saying that it "directly correlates" with the rise of COVID-19 and its spread across the country.

Ammo is not the only store spotting a massive spike in firearms demand: Adventure Outdoors has signalled that its sales are up 400% so far this year with shotguns, AR-15 semi-automatic rifles, and 9mm handguns being hot sellers. Tactical gear retailer Bulletproof Zone has said its sales had leaped 100%, while an arms shop owner in Petaluma, California, revealed in an interview with KTVU FOX 2 that many buyers are acquiring guns for the first time.

Disabled Woman Shoots, Kills Alleged Home Invader

A disabled woman in Houston, Texas, shot and killed an alleged home invader Saturday afternoon just before 3 p.m.

KHOU reports that the woman was home alone when a 17-year-old and 18-year-old allegedly broke out a window, which allowed them to reach inside and unlock the exterior door. The 18-year-old allegedly led the way into the apartment thereafter and, because he was first in the door, ended up being the one who was shot.

COVID-19 Data Study: Ammunition Sales Continue to Soar in Response to Coronavirus Panic

As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads across the United States, its impact can be seen in every community. Businesses and schools are closed, the market is volatile, and store shelves are empty as the American public scrambles to prepare for the worldwide pandemic and social distancing prescribed by the WHO and CDC.

While people stockpile toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and pantry essentials, they’re also purchasing ammunition at an unprecedented rate. Here at Ammo.com, we’ve seen a significant growth in sales that directly correlates with the rise of COVID-19 and its spread across the country. As we mentioned in a press release on March 6, 2020, we first noticed a 54% sales increase on February 23, as the search term “coronavirus” started to gain traction, according to Google Trends.

Illinois Mayor May Ban Guns, Firearms Sales Over Coronavirus Panic

An Illinois mayor has signed an executive order taking up wide-ranging emergency powers that she claims gives her the authority to halt the sale of all firearms and ammunition. The declaration is being framed as a response to the Chinese coronavirus.

Champaign, Illinois Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen signed the declaration Friday morning. The executive order declares a state of emergency in the city, and gives the mayor a wide set of powers to use during the period. The declaration touches upon a wide range of commercial and civic activity as liable to the mayor’s shutdown.

The document uses the phrasing of giving the mayor power to “Order the discontinuance of selling, distributing, dispensing or giving away of explosives or explosive agents, firearms or ammunition of any character whatsoever.”

Remembering The Alamo

Also remember Goliad where 400 Texicans were massacred after surrendering by Santa Ana and the Mexican Army!

Tomorrow, March 6, marks the anniversary of the fall of the Alamo outside of San Antonio, Texas, back in 1836. This event is so significant in my mind that I always try to devote a column that honors the heroism of these men on or around the anniversary of the occasion.

For 13 days, 189 brave and determined patriots withstood Santa Anna’s seasoned army of over 4,000 troops. To a man, the defenders of that mission fort knew that they would never leave those ramparts alive. They had several opportunities to leave and live. Yet they chose to fight and die. How foolish they must look to this generation of spoiled Americans.

HAWAII LAWMAKERS PUSH SEVERE AMMO RESTRICTIONS

SOURCE: AMMO LAND
In the last year, gun owners across the U.S. have watched in horror as California has rolled out its byzantine and unworkable ammunition restrictions. Since July 1, 2019, gun owners in the Golden State have been required to undergo a background check each time they purchase ammunition. The program has been a disaster. In December, the Sacramento Bee reported that tens of thousands of law-abiding Californians have been improperly denied ammunition purchases under the program, while only 101 were prohibited persons who were rejected. According to the report, “[b]etween July 1 and November, nearly one in every five ammunition purchases was rejected by the California Department of Justice.”

Not to be outdone, California’s neighbor to the left is seeking to outdo the Golden State tyrants with an even more intrusive scheme to harass law-abiding gun owners and ammunition buyers.

In late January, Hawaii lawmakers introduced HB 2736.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF something can be mucked up for Hawaii's citizens in amazing and startling ways, count on the Hawaii Legislature to do just that.

And somewhere, in the richly populated tales of graft, corruption, and massive cost over-runs in the State, one only has to look at Hawaii's "Light Rail to No Where" to understand the degree to which Hawaii lawmakers, have collectively, lost their minds.

Bloomberg Asked About Hypocrisy of Armed Security, Says He’s Wealthy & Can Afford It

2020 Democrat presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg was asked if his life matters more than that of the average citizen during a Fox News town hall on Monday evening. In short, “Mini Mike” seemingly dodged the question and said he faced more threats than others due to being wealthy and the former mayor of New York City.

In other words, yes, Mike’s life is more valuable and deserves to be safeguarded by retired police officers because he has the ability to pay for his detail. But you really shouldn’t be able to defend yourself even though you can afford a firearm.

THEY’RE COMING! FOR YOUR GUNS! SEE THE REASONS HERE!

Women have the “right” to terminate the human life in their womb right up until birth, and then the doctor and nurses present have the “right” (maybe even obligation) to allow the baby, once delivered from a botched abortion, to die! That is the “right” of “privacy” according to the left that women have. But, YOU don’t have the right to privacy of your property and the ability to defend yourself against a wave of criminals being unleashed upon Americans – many of whom hate America, don’t speak the language and have no comprehension or knowledge of our laws, culture or history, but they can get their hands on a gun and not be arrested if they are charged with a crime in regard to that gun possession. WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE PEOPLE?

Open Letter to Donald Trump About the Abuses by Government Using Terrorist Watch List and Attacking the Right to Keep and bear A

Dear Mr Trump,

I am a supporter of your candidacy for President even though I have some disagreements about some policy stances you maybe for.

Ever since Sept 11, 2001. The congress passed legislation forming the TSA and passed the Patriot Act. Both bills President George W. Bush singed into law. Both bills now law have not caught one single terrorist. But these two laws have eroded the constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans. They have taken away the right of Due process when it comes to right, liberty and property. Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty and the right to face your accusers?
