Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took to Twitter on Thursday evening to express his concerns about the “weaponization of federal law enforcement,” which he believes poses a grave threat to a free society.

DeSantis pointed out the uneven application of the law based on political affiliation, questioning why the Department of Justice (DOJ) was so zealous in pursuing former President Donald Trump yet passive about Hillary Clinton or Hunter Biden.

DeSantis then shifted his focus to his campaign, promising that his administration would bring accountability to the DOJ, eliminate political bias, and end the weaponization of federal law enforcement.

One of the most disturbing trends in the era of Trump has been the flock of billionaires that have come rushing into the Democratic Party to pose as leaders of an opposition movement to the “fascist” predations of the real estate mogul. These billionaires, which include capitalists such as George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, and Tom Steyer are the architects of a “Big Tent” strategy first outlined by Black Agenda Report Editor Glen Ford. This strategy was devised by the Hillary Clinton Presidential campaign of 2016. The strategy has two components. The first component is the promotion of “diversity” to distract from the fact that the Democratic Party can no longer appeal to the interests of the poor or working-class, especially Black people who have been held in electoral captivity for a generation. Second, “Big Tent” Democrats actively seek an alliance of Wall Street, the military and intelligence apparatus, and Republicans to provide the financial and political strength behind the strategy.

The “Big Tent” strategy is called the “Resistance.” One of the chief billionaire-backers of the “Resistance” is Pierre Omidyar. Omidyar is the founder of the eBay corporation. His surplus profits have been used over the years to exert “soft power” influence over the U.S. state. Omidyar has given hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of cash to Democratic Party candidates since 1999.

Omidyar was one of the principle donors to the NeverTrump Political Action Committee (PAC) that formed during the 2016 election. The NeverTrump PAC brought together neoliberal and neoconservative Democrats into an alliance against Trump. William Kristol, editor in chief at the Weekly Standard and longtime Republican, has been one of the most vocal supporters of the NeverTrump movement. Kristol is an expert in the think-tank business and understands the importance of “soft power.” He helped found the Project for the New American Century that peddled neocon wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as an escalation of the U.S.’ military presence around the world, including on Russia’s doorstep. Kristol has become a favorite of the corporate media since Trump was elected in 2016. He is a regular on MSNBC and is viewed by corporate Democrats as the “sane” wing of the Republican Party.

The same Donald Trump-appointed federal judge who went out of her way to slow down the federal investigation into the former president’s mishandling of classified records has been selected to initially oversee the criminal case filed against him this week, according to a source briefed on the situation.

The summons sent to Trump’s lawyers on Thursday night indicated that U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon has been assigned to the case, this person told The Daily Beast. That places her in a unique position to deal with an indictment that charges Trump with seven counts related to the way he hoarded national defense information at his Florida oceanside estate of Mar-a-Lago and then repeatedly refused to return them to the National Archives when requested.

A seasoned stock analyst colleague texted me a link today, and when I clicked it open, I could hardly believe what I was reading.  What a headline.  “Indiana life insurance CEO says deaths are up 40% among people ages 18-64”.  This headline is a nuclear truth bomb masquerading as an insurance agent’s dry manila envelope full of actuarial tables.

One farm visitor told me of his foreshadowing massive numbers of deaths within three years consequent to the genetic vaccines, and that this was all about the “Great Reset” and the depopulation agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF).  I tried to reassure him that, in my opinion, this was highly unlikely- while privately thinking about how easily people fall into this type of conspiracy ideation, and how I need to be careful to avoid going there when confronting so many public health decisions that appear either incompetent or nefarious.  At the time, I only knew of the WEF as the host of a big annual party in Davos Switzerland where the uber rich and the hoi oligoi of the Western nations went to watch Ted talks, drink the best wine, see and be seen.  Silly me.  What a long, strange trip this has been.  I doubt that even Hunter S. Thompson could have imagined it in his most drug and booze addled state.  Suffice to say, I nominate Ralph Steadman as official illustrator of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.  Or a resurrected Hieronymus Bosch.

Policymakers should insist manufacturers include controls in artificial intelligence-based weapons systems that allow them to be turned off if they get out of control, experts told the UK Parliament.

Speaking to the House of Lords AI in Weapons Systems Committee, Lord Sedwill, former security advisor and senior civil servant, said the "challenge" politicians should put to the tech industry is whether they can guarantee AI-enhanced weapons systems can be entirely supervised by humans.

"We have to put over to the people who are developing [weapons systems]: is there a way of essentially ring-fencing, some code or whatever it might be, that couldn't be amended … that would essentially set boundaries to how an autonomous system learn and evolve and evolve on their own … something that would put boundaries to how it might operate?" he asked the Lords.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan on Wednesday sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland requesting information on the status of a special counsel investigation into President Joe Biden’s potential mishandling of classified documents.

Jordan, an Ohio Republican, specifically wants Garland to provide him with an “unredacted copy of the memorandum outlining the scope of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s probes regarding President Biden and any supporting documents relating to his appointment.”

Jordan, in his letter, gave Garland a deadline of June 20 to provide the requested update. “The Committee on the Judiciary has jurisdiction to oversee the activities of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation pursuant to Rule X of the Rules of the House of Representatives,” he wrote. He is also requesting “any other document describing, listing, or delineating the authority and jurisdiction” outlining the scope “of the special counsel” probe.

A brutal video of a Syrian migrant stabbing children on a playground in Annecy, France, that went viral on Twitter has now been mass deleted, with numerous accounts displaying the message: video deleted.

Vladimir Putin has announced during a meeting with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko that the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus will commence right after the necessary preparations of the facilities are completed in early July.

Putin told his Belarusian counterpart during an informal meeting in Sochi on Friday that "On July 7-8, the preparation of the relevant structures is being completed and we will immediately begin measures related to the deployment of the relevant types of weapons on your territory".

The Russian leader has previously said that the construction of storage facilities for tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus will be complete by July 1

It is believed that Russia has also helped modernize Belarusian warplanes to make them capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

Special Counsel Jack Smith officially indicted former President Donald Trump on Thursday for his retention of presidential documents following his departure from the White House.

The Attorney General Merrick Garland appointee was hard-pressed to cook up charges but somehow still confirmed Americans’ widely held suspicions that this is just a continuation of the deep state’s ploy to get Trump, which started with the Russia collusion hoax in 2016.

“Today’s act of open legal ‘warfare’ by the highly politicized and partisan Department of Injustice, has taken things to a new level, and set a dangerous precedent,” the Trump campaign said in a statement on Thursday night. “By politically weaponizing the DOJ, the Biden administration and their henchmen in the Swamp are now conducting an all-out prosecution of the leader of the current administration’s political opposition. This is un-American and wrong.”

As Federalist Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland repeatedly noted prior to the charges, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) appeared to share no “legitimate concerns” about the documents Trump kept in his Mar-a-Lago home. If they did, NARA failed to afford Trump the same help it gave the Obama administration in securing documents that needed to be preserved.

Yet, the Department of Justice still used the Espionage Act, which does not explicitly prohibit the retention of classified documents, to sic the FBI on Trump’s home in a dramatic raid last August.

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called for the prosecution of President Joe Biden on Thursday in an exclusive interview given to the Daily Caller. Her statement comes in the wake of the FBI permitting her and her fellow House Oversight Committee members to peruse a document containing criminal accusations against Biden from an informant.

The document, an FBI-produced FD-1023, allegedly reveals Biden’s involvement in a quid-pro-quo arrangement during his tenure as Vice President, as claimed by Republican Representative James Comer of Kentucky.

In her conversation with the Daily Caller, Greene provided insights into the document, which she and other members studied at a highly secure facility known as the sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF). However, they were not permitted to reproduce the document or take notes.

Texas will install a floating barrier along the Rio Grande to deter migrants from crossing the river into the US illegally, Gov. Greg Abbott announced Thursday.

The first 1,000-foot section will be set up on July 7 near Eagle Pass, a city officials say is a key entry way for illegal border crossings, the third-term Republican said.

The contraption — made up of interconnected 4-foot-wide sphere buoys that spin when grabbed — can be moved and extended to cover “hot spots” where asylum seekers are sneaking into the US, according to Abbott.

The marine partition is just one part of Abbott’s latest efforts to prevent more migrants from coming into the country through the Lone Star State.

The governor signed a package of six new border security bills Thursday to “protect Texans from the record level of illegal immigration, weapons, and deadly drugs pouring into Texas from Mexico caused by President Biden’s refusal to secure the border,” his office said in a news release.

Last month, the Texas state legislature allocated $5.1 billion for border security.

After Matt Walsh revealed in a Wednesday Twitter thread that healthcare providers Plume and Folx appear to be rubber-stamping approvals for life-altering sex-change operations so insurance companies will cover the medical expenses, both Trump and DeSantis expressed outrage. Spokespersons for the former allies-turned-rivals for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination said their candidates would fight the radical transgender craze from the White House.

“This report is shocking and deeply disturbing. President Trump will put an end to this evil malpractice in our medical industry, and fight back against the radical transgender ideology permeating every American institution,” said Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for pro-Trump Super PAC Make America Great Again. “Trump is the only candidate who has rolled out a detailed plan to combat this sickness, which includes a DOJ investigation into Big Pharma and hospital networks to determine if they deliberately covered up horrific long-term side-effects of ‘sex transitions’ to get rich at the expense of vulnerable patients. The plan also calls on Congress to stop federal taxpayer dollars from being used to pay for gender transitions.”

The top super PAC supporting former President Trump’s 2024 White House campaign aims to put the spotlight back on the ongoing investigation of President Biden’s handling of classified documents. 

The move by the pro-Trump MAGA Inc. super PAC comes in the wake of the federal indictment of Trump, which reportedly revolves around his alleged improper retention of classified records at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, after leaving the White House in 2021.

A Canadian elementary school hosted a wild Pride celebration on Friday featuring, among other things, a drag queen. St. Matthew's School in St. John's, Newfoundland invited the rainbow-clad entertainer to perform in front of students from kindergarten to grade seven.

Footage of the event was shared to social media, and backlash ensued, with many questioning why children were made to participate in Pride celebrations. The inclusion of the drag queen also sparked criticism.

The Maricopa County Republican Party Executive Committee has censured County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, condemning her for leading an aggressive legal defense of the mismanaged 2022 election.

The censure follows a refusal by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter A. Thompson of Mitchell’s request for sanctions against the attorneys for Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. The judge found Lake’s attorneys “did not stray from advocacy into misconduct as would warrant invocation of the Court’s sanctioning authority.”

Mitchell and her legal team have been widely criticized for their overt hostility towards any election challenge legally allowed under Arizona law. Mitchell’s request for sanctions initially prompted Republican activists to call for Mitchell to be “primaried” in the 2024 election cycle.

The censure of Mitchell is sure to heighten interest in Republican circles to find a primary challenger for the unpopular county attorney.

Mitchell and her team accused Lake’s team of intentionally misrepresenting facts to the Court that they knew “lacked factual merit.” The judge disagreed.
