COMING UP SHORT THIS MONTH.
Thought for the day
"War will exist until the distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige as the warrior does today" -- John F.Kennedy
Parental rights in education have hit the frontline of another election.
Finally, a happy story for once. Outbursts of irrepressible joy erupted throughout the exclusive island community of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, last night. For hundreds of years, Martha’s Vineyard has suffered from the soul crushing effects of its own Whiteness. Island residents understood there was only one cure. They badly needed diversity. In fact, they often said so, but despite their very best efforts over many years, diversity never came to Martha’s Vineyard. It was tragic.
Imagine an 18th century British frigate adrift on the high seas with no lines, sailors slowly going mad, convulsing, dying, excruciating deaths from scurvy. That was Martha’s Vineyard, except it wasn’t lime juice they lacked. They had plenty of that because you can’t make a gin and tonic without it. What Martha’s Vineyard lacked was diversity, which is to say strength. Martha’s Vineyard was a very weak place. As of yesterday morning, that island was 89% White, monochromatic and utterly homogenous. Nearly everybody there was a rich Democrat. 80% voted for Joe Biden. The median home price was over $1,000,000. And then in a single blessed moment, everything changed. Relief arrived for an unlikely source.
Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, having made his own state a paradise, decided to help other states desperately in need. So yesterday, the center sent 50 illegal aliens, most of them from Venezuela, to the Martha’s Vineyard Airport. They traveled from San Antonio to the Florida Panhandle and filing to their new home on Martha’s Vineyard. CBS Boston reports that after landing, the group wandered about three and a half miles from the airport into town, thereby instantly improving it. You can imagine the unrestrained jubilation on Martha’s Vineyard tonight, long-suffering islanders finally rescued from their own oppressive Whiteness. In fact, let’s go there now to check in on the celebrations.
While it seems they are preparing for Pandemic Panic Theater 2.0, they are also getting set up to engage in their longer-term goal of “Climate Change Lockdowns.”
The difference is the climate change lockdowns will be like Covid-19 lockdowns on steroids.
For over a century, the Jewish World Almanac has been widely regarded as the most authentic source for the world’s Jewish population numbers. Academics all over the world, including the editors of the Encyclopedia Britannica, used to rely on the accuracy of those numbers. Here is what the World Alamanacs of 1933 and 1948 had to say about the world population of Jews.
World Almanac 1933
World Almanac 1948
In other words, according to the World Almanac the world population of Jews increased (!) between 1933 and 1948 from 15,315,000 to 15,753,000. If the German government under Adolf Hitler had – as alleged – murdered six million Jews those losses should have been reflected in the Jewish population numbers quoted in the World Almanac.
Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee has called for an investigation of the Pediatric Transgender Clinic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) after shocking videos posted by Matt Walsh detailed a doctor’s promotion of “big money maker” transgender surgeries.
Introduction: In 2020, prior to COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations and Brighton Collaboration created a priority list, endorsed by the World Health Organization, of potential adverse events relevant to COVID-19 vaccines. We leveraged the Brighton Collaboration list to evaluate serious adverse events of special interest observed in phase III randomized trials of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.
Methods: Secondary analysis of serious adverse events reported in the placebo-controlled, phase III randomized clinical trials of Pfizer and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (NCT04368728 and NCT04470427), focusing analysis on potential adverse events of special interest identified by the Brighton Collaboration.
Results: Pfizer and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines were associated with an increased risk of serious adverse events of special interest, with an absolute risk increase of 10.1 and 15.1 per 10,000 vaccinated over placebo baselines of 17.6 and 42.2 (95% CI -0.4 to 20.6 and -3.6 to 33.8), respectively. Combined, the mRNA vaccines were associated with an absolute risk increase of serious adverse events of special interest of 12.5 per 10,000 (95% CI 2.1 to 22.9). The excess risk of serious adverse events of special interest surpassed the risk reduction for COVID-19 hospitalization relative to the placebo group in both Pfizer and Moderna trials (2.3 and 6.4 per 10,000 participants, respectively). Americans who understand the cancer that the Biden presidency has created in the country might have given up hope of finding a permanent cure any time soon.
The Biden administration, the Delaware governor’s office, and the mainstream media were ready Tuesday to respond to Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis flying more illegal immigrants to the East Coast, this time to President Joe Biden’s home, but the moment never came.
At this point in time, most Americans have put COVID-19 in the rear view mirror and returned to living their lives as best they can. This means the end of social distancing and other measures that were largely forced upon people in the name of stopping the spread of the virus.
However, many of the negative impacts of COVID-19 restrictions still linger. For instance, countless US military members lost their jobs due to the Armed Forces putting in place a COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Everyday Americans who were forced to shut down their businesses weren’t all able to avoid going under or losing everything, either.
During a 60 Minutes interview this weekend, Joe Biden claimed the COVID-19 pandemic is “over.” Yet, in doing this, Biden’s opened the door to new criticism of virus-related measures that he has yet to repeal.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, who is running for the Senate as a Republican in Pennsylvania, made an unplanned stop during a campaign event to bring several addicts to a detox center for treatment.
On Monday, during the last day of a three-day campaign stop in Germantown and Kensington, Oz paused his planned events to take several Pennsylvanians struggling with drug addiction to get help.
Earlier in the day, the GOP Senate candidate held a “Safer Streets” initiative event which was originally meant to be about crime and gun violence, according to reporting from NBC News’ Dasha Burns.
Later, Oz reportedly changed his focus to addiction after running into a group of people who needed treatment.
Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has gotten national Democrats bent out of shape over his decision to send a small group of illegal aliens released into the U.S. by Joe Biden’s open borders policies to liberal paradise Martha’s Vineyard. Now he is giving notice that he is just getting started.
During a Friday press conference, DeSantis discussed the effort the state undertook this week to put a spotlight on Biden’s border disaster. He chartered two planes carrying 48 illegal migrants to the municipal airport at Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, the highly affluent area where Barack Obama lives part-time in a multimillion-dollar estate.
A normally anti-woke professor faced backlash online Tuesday after urging people on social media to make a “good argument” as to why a male teacher in Canada who wears giant prosthetic breasts in the classroom should not be allowed to teach in a public school.
Jill Biden is apparently planning to make an attempt to rehabilitate herself with Hispanic voters after her disastrous comparison between Latinos in Texas and “breakfast tacos.” With Democrats around the nation losing Latino voters to Republican candidates at a rapid pace, the party seems almost desperate to try anything in the run-up to the critical midterm elections in November.
Biden’s communications director Elizabeth Alexander confirmed with Fox News on Friday that the “first lady will host a Hispanic Heritage Month reception at the White House and continue to engage the community as she travels the country.” The date of the event has not been announced, but as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, it will certainly come before the midterms.
Actor Tim Allen caused a buzz on Twitter after mocking President Joe Biden’s interview Sunday on CBS’ “60 Minutes.”
For over a year, Joe Biden’s been lying to the American people about inflation. It wasn’t too long ago that the president was saying inflation would just be a passing stage of economic recovery.
Then, the narrative shifted with Biden blaming Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, despite this happening well after massive price increases across the nation. Eventually, the White House posted on social media that Republicans were fueling inflation by not voting for the 2021 American Rescue Plan.
In the present day, Biden is still lying. His latest mistruths about inflation occurred during a 60 Minutes interview that aired over the weekend.
A small BBQ restaurant in Eagle Pass city will close its doors. Owner Selena Price works alongside her father and has for the past 19 years. The doors were shuttered when COVID started. Now, too many break-ins leave her no choice but to say goodbye to the family business as she sells it.
According to Fox News, “From February to now, I’ve had five,” Price said. “Not only has my business been broken into and ransacked—it’s just the insecurity now. You don’t feel safe at home anymore.”
Republicans may be in position to win in several statewide races in traditionally blue Minnesota, according to a new poll.
Crime continues to plague the city of Los Angeles. After two people broke into mayoral candidate Karen Bass’s home, she admitted that she didn’t feel safe in the city. The burglary comes months after she declared that the city was safe.
According to Fox News, “I do feel safe,” Bass claimed during a mayoral debate five months ago. “I would say a 10. I understand that many people around the city do not feel safe, and I respect that.”
That comment came before a burglary at her house. On Saturday, two men broke into the residence while Ms. Bass was not home. Per The Los Angeles Daily News, the mayoral candidate said, “LAPD was called, and I appreciate their assistance. At that time, only two firearms were stolen, despite being safely and securely stored. Cash, electronics, and other valuables were not. It’s unnerving, and, unfortunately, it’s something far too many Angelenos have faced.”
Melania Trump has slammed the media and her former aide, Stephanie Wolkoff, over comments about the White House Christmas celebrations leaked by Wolkoff and widely reported by the media, in an exclusive comment to Breitbart News.
The former First Lady’s statement is a response to Wolkoff leaking secretly recorded, out-of-context remarks expressing frustration with how the media was reporting on the border crisis during President Trump’s term in office, and her role preparing the White House Christmas decorations.
The comments are often taken out of context in the media as “who gives a f*** about Christmas,” but were in fact part of a larger exchange of words between the First Lady and Wolkoff, in which the latter expressed frustration with the media attacking her over alleged family separations at the border.
In the secretly recorded comments, the First Lady attacked the media for its double standards in covering the border crisis.
I thought one of the benefits of being cancelled – I lost five positions in quick succession at the beginning of 2018 – is that it immunises you from being cancelled again. After all, what more dirt could be thrown at me? The offence archaeologists did such a thorough job four years ago, sifting through everything I’d said or written dating back to 1987, that there was nothing left to dig up. But it turns out that was naive. Last week I got cancelled again.
The instrument of my downfall was PayPal, the technology company that supports online money transfers and operates as a payment processor for online businesses, auction sites and so on. At around 2 p.m. last Thursday I received an email from PayPal informing me that the company was ‘initiating closure’ of my personal account because I was ‘in violation’ of its ‘Acceptable Use Policy’. I looked up that policy and it covers a multitude of sins, but no clue was offered as to which one I’d committed. ‘If you have money in your PayPal balance, we’ll hold it for up to 180 days,’ it said. That was a bit annoying because I have over £600 in the account, but it wasn’t the end of the world. I mainly use it for receiving payments from European magazines I write for occasionally.
Then it got serious. Within a few minutes of contacting me, PayPal sent the same message to the Daily Sceptic, the news publishing website I’ve been running for two-and-a-half years, and the Free Speech Union, the organisation I set up in 2020 to defend people threatened with cancellation. In both cases, PayPal was shutting down the accounts for the same reason – breaching the Acceptable Use Policy. No further details. To give you a sense of how serious this is, about a quarter of the Daily Sceptic’s donor revenue is processed by PayPal and about a third of the Free Speech Union’s 9,500 members pay their dues via PayPal.
The present moment is a pristine opportunity for libertarians to shift focus to the other heart of the state: information. The federal government, and the “law enforcement” agencies, which exist solely to allow the federal government to break the law with impunity, are revealed now as dependent upon information at least as much as money.
The FBI raid on Donald Trump’s private residence in Florida in early August was not in pursuit of cash, but paperwork. President Trump had the power to declassify that paperwork, which he claims he did by standing order. But as journalist Lee Smith notes, sources inside the bureau are saying that the real reason the FBI wanted the documents is not that they are classified, but that they reveal secrets about the FBI’s “Operation Crossfire Hurricane” coup against Trump.
Stealing money is standard operating procedure in Washington, DC. The FBI doesn’t raid houses when politicians go about their routine business of stealing money from citizens via taxes, and then stealing it again via bribes and kickback deals and other schemes. The FBI does raid houses when someone has information compromising to the FBI. It’s the information, not the money, that is revealed here to be the real lifeblood of the freedom-killing state.
On Sunday, CBS News aired an interview with the man who is, at least on the White House letterhead, the president of the United States.
Thousands of New Yorkers left their democrat-run state for the warmer and more conservative Florida in August.

Uganda has declared an outbreak of Ebola after a 24-year-old man suspected to have died from the disease tested positive for the Sudan strain of the virus, the World Health Organization announced today (September 20).
The man lived in the country’s central Mubende district and died after displaying symptoms including diarrhea, high fever, abdominal pain, and vomiting blood, Reuters reports. It is still unknown how he contracted the virus, but six other individuals in the district also died earlier this month of what local officials describe as “strange illness” now thought to have been Ebola, the Associated Press reports. There are currently eight other people in the country with suspected cases who are receiving treatment.
The WHO is working with Ugandan authorities to investigate the source of infection and is sending staff, isolation tents, and additional supplies to the area, it states in a news release.
“Uganda is no stranger to effective Ebola control,” WHO Africa Regional Director Matshidiso Moeti says in the release. “Thanks to its expertise, action has been taken quickly to detect the virus and we can bank on this knowledge to halt the spread of infections.”

Adrian Carter, 36, of Evansville via Vanderburgh County Jail
An Evansville man with more than 30 previous arrests was arrested again after trying to take a shopping cart filled with several hundred dollars worth of meat from a local grocery store, according to police.
The Evansville Police Department says officers were called to the west side Aldi store sometime around noon on Tuesday after a man tried to push a shopping cart filled with meat out the door. EPD says customers followed the man while store employees dialed 911.
When officers arrived in the area, EPD says the man, who was identified as 36-year-old Adrian Carter, initially surrendered by laying on the ground, but that he got up and took off running.
Police say they found Carter about an hour and a half later, and that he was sweating, muddy, and drinking alcohol.
