Alex Jones has been ordered to pay over $49 million in damages to the parents of one Sandy Hook victim for "defamation" and "intentional infliction of emotional distress" for calling the shooting a "hoax" nearly one decade ago.

Jones was found guilty by Democratic judge Maya Guerra Gamble before the trial began for allegedly failing to comply with discovery, which allowed Jones's persecutors to side-step the free speech issue entirely and only have a jury rule on damages.
