Maricopa County Republicans Censure County Attorney Rachel Mitchell MikeRivero Fri, 06/09/2023 - 14:39

The Maricopa County Republican Party Executive Committee has censured County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, condemning her for leading an aggressive legal defense of the mismanaged 2022 election.

The censure follows a refusal by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter A. Thompson of Mitchell’s request for sanctions against the attorneys for Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. The judge found Lake’s attorneys “did not stray from advocacy into misconduct as would warrant invocation of the Court’s sanctioning authority.”

Former White House Chief Strategist and current War Room host Steve Bannon has been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury convened in special counsel Jack Smith’s probe into strategies surrounding the 2020 election, as well as the January 6 Capitol protests, according to a report from NBC News.

The subpoena, which requests documents and testimony, was reportedly sent late last month.

It has been a rough week for one Democrat Mayor in the Sunshine State.

North Miami Beach Mayor Anthony DeFillipo has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies. This involves election fraud, which is something Republicans have been railing against for years.

Now, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is taking action — and DeFillipo’s career could be over.

On Tuesday, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-Ky.) revealed that a well-respected and credible FBI informant’s claims about Joe Biden being involved in a multi-million-dollar bribery scandal date as far back as 2017, with the information being actively kept from the public by the FBI.

Democratic Party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., made a surprise visit to the U.S.-Mexico border on Monday night and early Tuesday morning and said the situation was “unsustainable.”

“This problem is solvable,” Kennedy told Breitbart News by telephone. “We just need an administration that has the will to do it.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott went on record asking Dominion Voting Systems to explain if, as reported, the company played a role in the cancellation of Fox News host Tucker Carlsons’ primetime show.

Fox News and Carlson “parted ways” last month despite Carlson being the network’s most popular primetime host. The announcement came just days after Fox News reached a settlement with Dominion over its claims that the news network defamed the company by “spreading election lies” about the 2020 presidential election.
